If you are not campaigning locally, then your voters will go elsewhere for their local representatives, or they will write incredibly rude things on their spoilt ballot papers. This is one of the main features of the electoral system - it tends to punish inactivity harshly.

We can also clarify that we are now factoring in endorsements into these polls, which are asking specifically about local voting pattern, except for the question on the National Picture.
