My thoughts on ClintStevens 2/18/2016

I'm here to give some insight on why this is going on with Clint, note this writing only represents my ideas and opinions and in no way shape or form represents others as individuals.

As we all know our good fellow ClintStevens, is a pretty nice guy. At least I thought so. So I'll give some backstory on this guy for those who are not aware. He is a 100% runner for Ocarina of Time, that's it, nothing more and nothing less. He occasionally streams other casual games, but he mainly does oot. Now the initial thought when I first heard of Clint was that " Oh yeah, maybe people are just overreacting and I never really gave him a chance" so I went to his stream said hi and chilled and it seemed pretty normal, so I thought nothing of it. Clint was a cool guy, story over. NOW, until more recent times, people have been getting more and more upset at him, for what? Well, for instance, he said " I made the other oot runners quit since I am getting good", now this comment, it's very interesting.

At first glance, people are thinking, why would people quit just cause someone is getting good. That's what I thought at least, the thing is, it's not that people are getting mad over you getting good. People are getting mad of stuff like this, you are straight up just mocking the entire community, the community that built you from the ground up. Without the oot community, Clint would be nothing, and that is just the honest truth. Sure he is good, I'll give him that, he is a good runner at 100%. Is he good at the game, dear no. He doesn't understand a lot of thing, and I have heard of this everywhere. He simply copied the wr vid of zfg and that's it, and he is telling his viewers to do the same. This mindset is so terrible, it eliminates any sort of innovation in the run and doesn't contribute to anything and you won't get any better than what you are watching, which may not even be optimal. It's my least favorite mindset, but I got past that since other do this stupid idea too.

Next, he was claiming, CLAIMING that other runners of the oot community are jealous....of???? What on earth would anyone be jealous of you, or in fact of anyone? Being alive and being yourself gives you confidence, that's all you need to have a happy life, not someone telling you that they are better than you. Or would we be jealous of the fact that not only does the majority of the oot community, both dislike you and ridicule you but others that are not even aware of who you are, dislike you. Or the fact that you are ignorant. Or the fact that you over react to literally everything.

If the one comment of someone simply asking you if you viewbot, you simply could have said, "no bro" but no, you telling sig off that he will be working at Mcdonalds cause he's not good at super mario anymore? Is that where washed up speedrunners end up? If I stop playing albw, I'll work at Mcdonalds, if zfg stops playing albw, he'll end up at Mcdonalds, if Ennopp stops playing Majora's Mask, he'll end up at fucking Mcdonalds. This is such a stupid insult, but it hurts me more that you just criticize sig for him playing what he likes, and in fact doesn't care that he doesn't have to speedrun to enjoy himself. Unlike you, who even said "After oot 100% I will stop speedrunning" basically admitting that you are only running for fame, and money doesn't sit well to help your case. Also you saying that you hate Raggen, someone who in my opinion is way way way, better, and you call him a worthless loser in front of 1700+ people? Why, it doesn't make your appearance any better.

Now to my next point with the community. A lot of us can agree that Clint, defiantly has seperated himself from the community. In more ways than one. First of all, he dissed the oot community obviously for being jealous idiots. Ok. But that's not the issue, the issue is stuff like this:

This is why, many people do not like Clint. This comment, only shows how Clint's attributions spread to his gullible viewers, who always take his side(which there is nothing wrong with, until stuff like this happens), but nonetheless is why people call the oot community toxic, you go out of your way to mock other runners, who are smaller or worse at the game at than you, and this makes others go to other chats and behave the same way. This has happened to Apasher and Ben who I recall the most, and it is sickening. I want a community than can be friendly to one another, and of course everyone will have arguments and have dislikes, but this kind of toxicity needs to stop.

There are times that his chat mentions him going to a dgq, he simply laughed and said "I don't need them, the gdq nerds will simply beat me up". As a pacifistic I would like to disagree. No one will ever fight anyone at a gdq, it's simply a gathering for speedrunners to enjoy themselves and have a good time. Not only are you dissing people who attend the gdqs but the organization themselves. How can you see yourself as too good for charity? It's pretty baffling and hilarious. But you are also ruining other's view of gdqs making them assuming that the other communities will be as violent or insane as what they are in the head of ClintStevens.

To conclude, I don't care about Clint, he lost my respect, and it's pretty darn hard to do that, when someone goes to say hi in your chat, and then bans them cause of them criticizing you, there's a little bit more something going on than jealousy my friend. Banning people who manage to find evidence to expose a persona you put on to get fame, which is what you love the most after all, it won't help you, and you are simply avoiding ways to improve your self. And I hope Clint reads this so he can diss me more about how I'm an idiot oot speedrunner who is ugly and should work at Mcdonalds, and I'll read it while I'm hanging out with my friends talking about speedgames or anything else but you. I don't hate Clint nor do I like him, just ignore him and move on its whatever.
