“Aaaahh~” Goku sighs as he reclines into the steaming water of a heated oil drum. “Nothing beats this at the end of a long day!”

‘A long day’ was a bit of anunderstatement when it came to kicking the Baby out. Several of Goku’s friends, rivals, and acquaintances joined him on the Briefs’ lawn, each in their own barrels, currently being tended to by Acer lighting the flames below. With the exception of…

“You said it, Dad!” Peppa agrees, melting away in the water of her drum as well.

“Are you sure we won’t get burned from this?” Cocoa asks, nervous about the flame underneath the oil drum she’s sharing with Peppa.

“Don’t worry, there’s wood at the bottom to protect your feet,” Peppa says, leaning into her girlfriend. Towels between them, of course. With a devious grin, she whispers “Your little piggies are absolutely safe.”

Cocoa's face heats up, and not from the water neither! She sinks down and mumbles, “Don’t call them thaaat!” She always did it during pedicures, which was usually followed with that damnable tail tickling her feet until she gasped for mercy.

Gohan leans over the side of his barrel, and asks Pantea, “Hey, why does CapsuleCorp have so many of these lying around?”

Pantea’s eyes go blank, and robotically replies, “CapsuleCorp is a clean and green energy efficient company whose integrity places the preservation of environment as one of its top priorities which can be seen from its history of fair deals with partner companies and friendly competition with rival companies such as [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted]. CapsuleCorp has never even heard of the time-accelerated dinosaur graveyard of Paozu Valley.”

“Uh…” Gohan stammers, surprised.

Pantea breaks from her chance, considering. “I’ve never thought much about it, kinda reminds me of all those games where there are just rooms full of empty barrels except for one with a potion.”

“That’s accurate,” confirms her father, the former thief.

Sachie squirts water over at a relaxing Izumi, deflecting the immediate glare with a quick gesture towards the water. “Hey Izzy, did you know that even when you’re relaxing, there’s stuff you can do with your powers to play- I mean, ‘train’?”

As Izumi watches, Sachie gathers ki into her palm, and presses it flat against the water. She brings her palm up, and a small pillar of water comes up as well. With another hand, she cuts off the water, and balls it up in her hands. She sinks her fingers into the ball, and adjusts it. When she pulls them away, she has a cat’s cradle showing the dancing flames of the barrels underneath them. She presses her hands together again, and sticks her tongue out in concentration. She pulls her hands back out again, showing a daisy chain of watery figures. When Izumi recognizes herself and her friends in the chain, albeit in “Chibi” style, she claps excitedly.

“That’s amazing, Sachie! Here, let me try,” Izumi says, pressing her hands to the steaming water as well. She brings up one hand, and arcs it above herself. The water droplets that would normally fall to the water stay in the air. Then, Izumi gathers ki in her other hand, and sweeps it along the water droplets. Light energy fills each one, creating a dazzling rainbow above the princess!

“Nice!” Sachie says, and the two enter a mini-competition of water weaving.

The contest catches everyone’s attention, and soon enough, most of them are, heheh, testing the waters with their ki.

When Peppa looks at the water splashing in her and Cocoa’s drum, a thought occurs to her. As Cocoa squirts water at her face, Peppa brings a hand to the water. With the ki working towards her will, Peppa stills the water to where it is a serene mirror, reflecting the moon’s light. Not a Full Moon, no.

“I bet if this thing tipped over, the water wouldn’t spill,” she says.

Gohan hears her, and ceases his bubble-blowing. He idly pops one, and the ball of water leaks from where he poked it, the rest of the ball’s form still there until the water leaks out completely. He calls over to Peppa, “Sounds doable. Easy even. What if you were rolling, you think you could manage it then?”

“Like down a hill?” Peppa asks, thinking. Then, she rises from the water, her arms propping her up, and leans over towards her brother. “Bet I could race you!” she says, her tail flicking about in excitement.

Something to take note of here: Peppa is wearing a handtowel, both due to her smaller size, and so her tail can have freedom of movement. So while her chest and front is covered decently…

“P-p-p…” Cocoa stutters, her gaze locked on to the sight in front of her. She flushes red, unable to look away. Her mouth simply hangs open as Peppa and Gohan get locked in a series of “Nuh uh”s “Yuh-huh”s.

As the exchange goes on, Peppa wiggles her butt back and forth, while Gohan’s tail splashes against the water with each of his retorts. His towel is wrapped around the waist, but his muscles are very developed for a fourteen-year-old. Behind him, a considering Pantea adjusts her glasses as they begin to steam up, and bites her lip.

“Hey now, let’s cool down a bit!” Maple chastises, using mini-Bits to pour cold water onto her two children and their ‘mirers. Loud shrieks come from all those afflicted by the icy touch, and huddle into the warm waters. “But, that does sound interesting. ‘Racing down a hill in a barrel.’”

“And,” Gohan pipes up, “and you have to keep the water inside. Not a drop can be spilled!”

Maple floats out of her barrel, a finger gun of consideration at her chin. Her soaked hair trails down her whole body, making her look like something that crawled out of bog- “HMPH!” …a milfy shortstack with flowing hair. Maple nods, “That’s more like it. Now, who here is interested in a race?”

Several of the resting warriors get excited, even Vegeta looks interested.

Tapion raises a hand, saying, “Sorry, but I would like to rest for the day, that battle took a lot out of me.”

“Aw, c’mon bro!” Minotia whines.

Maple floats over to her brother, and yanks him up out of Chi-Chi’s barrel. She whispers something in his ear, and he nods. Acer shouts over at Tapion, “Grand Prize is a bottle of Chateau Frypani Milk.”

Tapion’s sheepishness is gone. He turns towards the tuffles, and gravely asks, “A bottle?”

The Warrior’s head snaps over to his little brother, commanding, “Minotia, we’re racing.”

“Woohoo!”

Contest is agreed on, rules are set up, and the prize is prepared, so the only thing left is…

Tripitaka, the world’s kami, is currently being told of the wonders of a beauty spa by Bulma Briefs.

The scientist stands in front of the god’s heated barrel with Giru beside her. Bulma points to a digital pamphlet, displayed by a hologram from Giru’s eye. “So even though you lost some years in that Hyperbolic Time Chamber-“

“Room of Spirit and Time,” Trip interjects.

“This spa can bring that youth back, and then some!” Bulma finishes.

“Bulma, I thank you for your consideration, but as a Journeyer down the Eight Paths I have no need of worldly comforts like beauty.”

Bulma scans another digital pamphlet. “It also says that comfortable seats aren’t allowed.”

Trip nods, “Also true, why, on the lookout there are very plain chairs, to instill humility.”

Bulma grins, “But from what I heard Maple say, it seems like you always have a very comfortable-“

“Hey Trip!” Maple interrupts with a chirp, landing down in front of her blue-haired friends.

“Maple,” Trip greets her, eyes closed in serenity.

“So about the race, could you-“

“I have no wish to race.”

“No, see, can you be the judge?”

“Judge?”

“At the finish line. Oh, and you too Bulma!”

Bulma leans on Giru, and finger-guns in thought. “I have been meaning to test out my new Scouter. Has a neural uplink so the user can keep up with the Scouter’s readings.”

Maple and Bulma look up at Trip. The godly woman frowns.

After a bit of consideration, she nods. “I’ll do it,” she says, “But only if I get to stay in this tub.”

MT. PAOZU – SUMMIT

The assembled racers all grasp the sides of their barrels in anticipation. Vegeta merely crosses his arms because proud warrior race elite of the elites prince of all yadda yadda yadda.

“Everybody ready?” Maple asks, pointing at everyone assembled with a green flag.

She gets cheers in response, and “get on with it”s from the edgy.

Acer nods, and announces, “1-2-3, Go. Okay?”

“One…”

The racers steady themselves.

“Two…”

The racers lean forward…

“THREE!” Maple shouts, and waves the green flag.

Half of the racers stare at the woman in confusion, while the other half tip over! The barrelborne racers begin their tumble down the mountain!

“Damnit, Maple!” Acer shouts, and then looks at the racers who left, and the racers still left. He frantically waves, “Uh, crap, GO! Go, go, go, go!”

The racers all tumble down the mountain, getting faster and faster as they go!


ORDER OF ELIMINATIONS
Krillin – hits himself in the head with the rim of the barrel and loses control
Krillin: Killed by Tambourine. After the Tournament, he is killed by Tambourine, who was out to kill all of the greatest martial artists so that King Piccolo would go unchallenged. He is later revived with the Dragon Balls.
Chiaotzu – sabotages other racers with his telekinesis, but gets kicked by Maraca
Chiaotzu: Killed by King Piccolo. Chiaotzu tries to stop him by wishing for his destruction, but is killed by King Piccolo's blast before he could finish his sentence. However, he is later revived by the Dragon Balls.
Raditz: Killed by Piccolo. Goku held Raditz in place, and then Piccolo shot him with a Special Beam Cannon, mortally wounding him. Piccolo later finished Raditz off while he was laughing at him.
Yamcha: Killed when a Saibaman jumped on him and self-destructed.
Chiaotzu: Self-destructed in an unsuccessful attempt to destroy Nappa.
Tien Shinhan: Used up all his energy in a Tri-Beam, which he shot at Nappa. Nappa survived, but Tien died from using up all his energy.
Piccolo: Killed by Nappa. Nappa shot a Bomber DX at Gohan, and Piccolo jumped in front of him and was killed by the energy blast.
Nappa: Killed by Vegeta. Disappointed that Nappa lost a fight to Goku, Vegeta threw him in the air and destroyed him with the Galaxy Breaker wave.
Android 19: Killed by Vegeta. 19 attempted to drain Vegeta's energy using the devices on his hands, but Vegeta pulled his hands off and, as 19 attempted to run, blew him up with a Big Bang Attack. Only his head remained.
Lapis/Android 17: Killed when Cell self-destructed, as he was still inside Cell at the time. Was later revived with the Dragon Balls.
19 – oils up her barrel for increased downhill speed, but spins in place when the course goes uphill.
Chi-Chi: Turned into an egg and then stomped on by Super Buu as revenge for her slapping him for killing Gohan.
Krillin: Turned into chocolate and eaten by Super Buu.
Lazuli/Android 18: Turned into chocolate and eaten by Super Buu.
Pantea

Videl
Monty – his master gets taken out by a tree branch, and the water is too hot. Monty passes out, and his barrel collides with 19’s.
Izumi – freezes the water in her drum in the last leg of the race, which splits her barrel apart.
Peppa – her girlfriend gets too dizzy from the G-forces, and flies out of the barrel, causing Peppa to go catch her
Gohan – dies and goes to otherworld, disqualified as a result
