  1. >Jump 44: Nineteen Eighty-Four
  2. >Death, reversed (Stagnation or petrifaction.)
  3. How appropriate.
  4. >Age: 33
  5. >Location: London
  6. >Identity: Drop-In (-200)
  7. >Drawbacks: But The Future Refused To Change (+300), Always At War With ... (Mandatory, No Points)
  8. I wanted to have a setting where there really was hope, but no such luck. On the other hand... this makes for an interesting challenge - I have ten years and a fuckton of magic behind me, let's see if I can at least fan the spark of hope in mankind.
  9. >A Minority of One (Free, Drop-In)
  10. Some might say I'm a lunatic. Some might say I'm a FUCKING LICH. I know I'm not crazy, but at least now I have a perk to prove it.
  11. >Two Plus Two (900, Drop-In)
  12. My mind is dirty, I don't need anyone washing it.
  13. >Re-Education (600, Drop-In)
  14. Now this is important. I can't decapitate the world's governments, but I can run around trying to get people who might make sane decisions, do my best to undo their brainwashing, and get them to work toward making their governments more sane. They also get nifty tattoos so that they can be granted certain intellectual abilities to make a difference. Savant does a world of good, and I don't recall anything saying that I can't grant the same ability to multiple people. Or that it takes that ability away from me.
  15. >Hope Rides Alone (Mandatory due to use of Undrentide, 400, Drop-In; 0, paid extra to keep)
  16. So I call on a floating city and ... this time it's actually populated. Oh dear. Well, I can't exactly let these people STAY BEHIND, that would be cruel and unusual punishment. I'm no Big Brother - I'm more along the lines of Mr. Bones. If you want to leave, you can leave, but if you stay, you're all in for a wild ride.
  17.
  18. Honestly... there's not a lot I can do to make a difference in this world. Of course, attacks on the city are pointless - not that it stops anyone, but magic does a great job of disabling mundane equipment and returning the crews occupying them intact. There's no possible counter to magic in a world without it, aside from massed attacks, and with even the smallest amount of planning ahead even massed attacks can be rendered pointless.
  19.
  20. The only thing I can really do is break the brainwashing of people so they can do their part to make their governments more sane. The dice ... were extremely disfavorable. Not a critical failure, but it's only curbing the worst excesses.
  21.
  22. I... I don't want to think about this place anymore. Onward. No looking back.
