- Turipo's F2P Level 3 Ultimate Ironman Skiller Start-Up Guide v1.1.0
- (Including Runecrafting)
- In this guide, I will provide the most efficient approach to starting and levelling an F2P level 3 ultimate ironman skiller. It's written for ultimate ironmen specifically, but most of the XP rates and training methods apply to greyhelms as well (actually slightly better rates for greyhelms given the fewer restrictions).

- 1. OVERVIEW
- 1.1. Introduction
- Before you read into any of this do know if you do not enjoy repetitive gameplay this account is not for you. An F2P level 3 skiller takes thousands of hours just to master one of the eight skills, but it is extremely satisfying to see the levels go up. There are two ways to go about this account build: with runecrafting levels, or without. This comes down to personal preference and obviously the amount of time you are willing to put into the account.
- 1.2. Start-Up Guide (Getting the Eath Talisman)
- This 'Start-Up Guide' is specific to accounts wanting to train runecrafting and the most efficient way, in my opinion, to go about the beginning levels after acquiring the what can seem extremely rare earth talisman!
- The grind starts before the account is even made, all depending purely on your luck. The best way to make multiple accounts is to use one email and add a 'plus' account to it. For example:
- Account One: example@email.com
- Account Two: example+2@email.com
- Account Three: example+3@email.com
- Once you have got through deciding on a name and tutorial island the most frustrating levelling (or trying not to) of your account begins. The Earth Talisman drop rate is 1/64 so in theory, the maximum accounts required should be 7 (I got lucky and got it on my first account). Depending on how often you hit you could possibly get 11 kills using; Attack, Strength, Defence and Ranged. However, 10 kills are most likely giving the regeneration of hitpoints for the men. Once you get to here good luck on getting the Talisman! But make sure you stop at 80 experience so you don't level up your combat!
- 1.3. Start-Up Guide (After getting the Earth Talisman)
- Congratulations you have finally got your Earth Talisman! But now what? No matter what skill you plan on training first as an ultimate ironman every inventory space counts. Getting that Earth Talisman out of your way and on your head is priority number one tied in with some handy low-level gains. Below I have created a checklist in order of efficient levelling, questing and starting GP:
- Lumbridge:
- [] Sell Items
- - Runes
- - Swords
- - Shield
- [] Complete Quests
- - Misthalin Mystery (Sell reward gems)
- - Sheep Shearer
- - Cooks Assitant
- {} Start Quest
- - Rune Mysteries (RM)
- [] Get Level 30 Woodcutting and Firemaking (Weild axe & drop tinderbox)
- ~ Head towards Draynor ~
- [] Collect 2 Onions
- [] Pick up package (RM)
- [] Make Yellow Dye
- ~ Go to Varrock via Falador ~
- [] Collect 2 Woad leaves
- Varrock:
- [] Complete Security Stronghold
- [] Complete Romeo & Juliet
- {} Talk to Aubury (RM)
- [] Get 23 Crafting via Clay at Varrock West mine
- - I mined clay at the mine and kept 3 jugs in my inventory. Run to the middle of Varrock to turn Clay into
- 'soft clay'. Make highest available pottery item at Barbarian Village. Take canoe back to Mine for AFK.
- [] Powermine Copper at Varrock East Mine to Level 15
- [] Collect 3 red berries
- [] Get Iron Bars from Wilderness spawn
- Draynor: (Buy Chronicle from Diango if you want)
- [] Make Red and Blues dyes (also make the orange dye)
- {} Do Karamaja part of Pirates treasure
- - Buy small net from fishing shop
- [] Get level 20 Fishing and Cooking
- [] Complete Ernest the Chicken
- - Pick up spade in the mansion
- [] Complete Rune Mysteries
- [] Get Runecrafting to level 9 via Air Runes
- ~ Go to Falador via Rimmington mine ~
- [] Get mining level to 15 and collect 6 Clay, 4 Copper, 2 Iron for Doric's Quest
- Falador:
- {} Start The Knights Sword
- [] Complete Quests
- - Pirates Treasure
- - Droic's Quest
- - Goblin Diplomacy
- Once you have reached this part, go to Varrock to continue and then complete the Knights sword. A fast was to travel to where the Blurite or mine is to teleport to Lumbridge and run to Shantay in Al Kharid. When doing this buy a tiara mould in Al Kharid. Tell Shanty your an outlaw and he will put you in jail in Port Sarim. Once you have complete the Knights Sword make your Earth Tiara in Varrock and get runecrafting!
- 2. SKILLS (In order of levelling)
- 2.1. Runecrafting
- Runecrafting will be the slowest of all skills. Make and 'sell 50' Earth runes to Aubury each run, your first investment should be the Rune Pickaxe (32,000gp) around 40 Runecrafting you should be able to afford this. From here on continue the grind. I tend to take a break every 10 levels and go and train fishing & cooking.
- 1-9: Air Runes
- 9-99: Earth Runes
- 2.2. Crafting
- I haven't trained much crafting yet (only level 50) but from talking to many people and doing a bit of research the method I am likely to follow will be:
- 1-23: Clay
- 23-40: Holy Symbols (This can be done in Varrock west mine, using the canoe to and from Lumbridge for the furnace and general store.
- 40-70/99: Tiaras (At Crafting Guild and Falador) *Go to 99 with Tiaras if you don't want GP for feathers*
- 70-99: Gold Amulets (u) (Again at crafting guild and Falador) *feathers for 200m fishing*
- 2.3. Smithing
- I haven't looked too much into Smithing at all, the way I plan to train it is to 99 Crafting and see what level that gets me then reasses from there, not the most effiecnt but thats a long, long time away.
- 1-29: The Knights Sword
- 29-**: Crafting experience from silver and gold bars
- 2.4. Fishing and Cooking
- Depending on what your account preferences are you can get enough GP for 99 Fishing from Runecrafting. If you wanted to get 99 Fishing before 99 Crafting, by all means, go for it earlier. Cooking levels naturally go up with Fishing, the best place to fish is in Barbarian Village.
- 1-20: Shrimps and Anchovies
- 20-99: Trout and Salmon
- 2.5. Woodcutting & Firemaking
- Much like Fishing and Cooking these two skills will go up together. There is not much point training Woodcutting higher than 41 until you reach 85 Smithing for a Rune axe. Chop the logs then burn em' you know the drill.
- 1-20: Logs
- 20-40: Oak Logs
- 40-99: Willow Logs
- 3. MISCELLANEOUS
- 3.1. FAQs
- Q. Why should I not use Magic to kill more men?
- A. In my opinion, it is not logical and a waste of time. You do not have enough runes to cast spells to complete the kill, you also tend to splash a lot more during lower magic levels. You're better off making a new account and trying again.
- Q. Do any F2P Ultimate ironmen have 99 Runecrafting?
- A. As of the 17/02/17 No and there won't be for a long time yet.
- Q. Are there any boosts for F2P Ultimate Skillers?
- A. Yup. Dwarven stout to boost Mining and Smithing by 1.
- Q. Getting around in F2P takes forever, is there anything I can do to speed things up?
- A. You can use minigame teleports to get to CW or LMS once every 20 minutes, which doubles as a quick prayer/run% recharge. If you tell Shantay of Shantay pass you're an outlaw, he'll send you to the Port Sarim prison, which you can then escape from. Also, whenever you're done playing, leave yourself AFK instead of logging off immediately; you'll log back in next time with an extra ~40% run energy.
- Q. Is fishing lobsters to sell to the shop a good moneymaker?
- A. It's bad fishing XP/H and an inefficient moneymaker. Get your GP through crafting instead.
- Thanks to Asura Zoma for allowing me to use his In-Depth F2P Ironman Guide v1.1.0 as a templete.
- Thanks to many people in the w 385 cc who have said and suggest methods of training
