- Part 12 of "Two Worlds Collide" is out. I got the money for babysitting that little fucker yesterday so I got time to write this out. I hope you all enjoy the series so far.
- -Al's POV-
- >It's been around 3 weeks since Charlie and Alexander had been hanging out with one another.
- >He introduced her to his studio, took her out to the fair, and went on strolls in the woods with Charlie.
- >Despite the time period, he hasn't gotten bored of her, if anything, his interest towards Charlie amplified.
- >However, with the amplification of his thoughts towards the blonde gal, there came some odd feelings Al never truly felt towards others.
- >For one, he felt a new urge to get closer to her without any ulterior motives and even allowed her to get close to him back, despite his aversion to touch.
- >Al recalls the memory at the cafe when he recoiled violently from her touch. He generally didn't like to be touched, especially on the face but now, he doesn't even flinch whenever Charlie wanted to grab onto his arm whenever she wanted to go somewhere.
- >Oddly enough, Alexander became more welcoming of the contact over time. At first, he was fighting the affection out of sheer discomfort but eventually, he ignores his inner voice who screamed at him to stop her.
- -
- >This led to Alexander feeling a myriad of emotions which only made his hallucinations worse. From what was only a few touches and taunting now turned into full on aggressive scratching and demonic screaming.
- >The second worst part was the reoccuring nightmares that increased in intensity.
- >Al's dreams were little to nonexistent in the beginning which the man accepted as normal. However, over the course of 3 weeks, he started having nightmares and depressing dreams which were slowly chipping away his mind.
- >The nightmares included what he might possibly die from which commonly involved dogs attacking him and some man who shoots him in the head.
- >However, if Al had to choose between the two types of dreams, he definitely preferred the violent nightmares.
- >The depressing nightmares dealt with different scenarios of Charlie finally catching him in the act. She acted frightened by him in these dreams and sometimes even broke down crying.
- >In those dreams, Al always loses control and killed her as a means to increase the sensation and thrills for himself, only to realize what he had done.
- >Those dreams left an awful taste in his mouth and are starting to slowly repulse him.
- >The worst part was that taunting voice that mocked him and demanded him to give up. As if he would ever kneel before some shadowy fellow. The nerve of him...
- -
- 'It's been 3 weeks already. Why are you becoming so dependent on some woman who would run away if she were to find out about everything. Continue conversing with her and I will make this worse for you...'
- >As a way to escape these dreams, Al forced himself to stay awake at night. Unfortunately, this led to him developing insomnia.
- >So far, Al had forced himself to stay awake for 3 full days which affected his appearance and energy.
- >He now had dark circles under his eyes and he feels more exhausted to the point that it was worrying Charlie.
- >However, despite the near constant onslaught of psychological torture, he still maintained his smile and chipper attitude.
- >Today, he was going to bring Charlie to his studio again and let her see another one of his live broadcasts in person.
- >Speak of the devil, the radio host heard a familiar knock on his door and got up.
- >Al appreciated how Charlie liked his studio and even allowed her to see him setting up the equipment for his weekly broadcast.
- >Al opened the door to his cabin. What he saw next made his heart stop for a moment.
- >Charlie looked almost angelic at the moment. She was wearing a white, long-sleeved, long dress with layers. Her accessories included short gloves, a pale daisy resting in her hair, and a pearl necklace.
- >Her delicate smile was one of purity. The fact that Al knew the smile was reserved for him made him feel an urge to hold her.
- >"Darling, you look lovely today..."
- -
- >Although it was intended to be just a compliment, atleast how Al puts it internally, he saw Charlie blush a little and perked up her head.
- >Al feels something behind him stare into the very core of his soul after their little moment.
- >While Al was trying to ignore that, Charlie grabbed his hand and led him to his car.
- >Al was internally screaming while he was driving to the studio and Charlie was looking content with her surroundings without a single care in the world.
- >As they arrived to the studio, Al got off of the car and opened Charlie's door.
- >It's been the second time he took her here but she still feels enthusiasm for his live broadcasts.
- >The both entered the building and Al quickly got to work to set up the equipment.
- >As Al was testing out the microphone, Charlie was watching from a distance and loved how a person acted when they truly enjoy what they do for a living.
- >"Good afternoon everyone, this is your host Alexander Crowley here and today, we will discuss about the murder that happened 3 days ago."
- >"Apparently, the police force in New Orleans managed to catch some grunts working for an Italian mafia who told the investigators at 11 pm that the Don and his fellow gangsters are here for a business trip from Chicago. Rumor has it that some witnesses had claimed to see not only the Don himself but possibly what was speculated to be his family which included three youths, 2 boys and 1 girl respectively."
- -
- >"Anyhow, the investigators are currently searching for more information in the town for anyone who's suspected to have ties to the mafia. So far, they rounded up a total of 5 suspects today to see who matched the description of a young 6'2 blonde man of presumably Sicilian heritage who shot and mugged a shipworker in the head with a 1928 tommy gun. Investigators concluded that the motive behind the murder was unpaid debt based on the wallet they found on the dock with no money found and only contained his driving license. So far, no fingerprints or any other sort of forensic evidence were found either."
- >"Anyhow, we'll be right back in a few minutes."
- >As Al left music playing in the background for break, he approached Charlie.
- "You did great today Al. I honestly just love seeing you acting happy with your job. I don't really see that with much people I talk to."
- -
- >Al gave Charlie a soft smile and sat down with her.
- >As much as he wants to continue accompanying her, he can't help but have a part of himself start to reconsider whether continuing to spend time with his amie (friend) was a good idea.
- >Al sighed and took a deep breathe.
- >"Charlie, we need to talk..."
- This is the end of part 12 of "Two Worlds Collide" and hoh boy it's gonna get depressing soon. All I'm gonna say is prepare your angus for the angst next chapter and as always, stay tuned.
