1. Name: A Jane Doe
2. Gender: Most Often Female
3. Race: There are Options
4. Color: #123456
5. Biography: Throughout the history of everything that there ever was and that there ever will be, there has been, at least somewhere in every universe, the belief that living creatures, no matter the shape, size, or level of sentience, all share one common component, commonly known as a soul.
6.
7. A common misconception is that one's soul is shared by your past or future selves, or is the true holder of ones identity, but neither is as close to the truth as one might think. The truth is that everyone's soul is only a fragment of a greater soul, one that is linked to the multiverse itself.
8.
9. While the characteristics may change from one universe to another, this link back to their true soul does not, as 'Jane' knows firsthand, for more reasons than you might think. She knows more about the multiversal souls than anyone else will ever will because she is one.
10.
11. Items/Abilities: If, through some incredible higher power, 'Jane' was trust out of her home and into some other plane of existence, she would immediately form a shell around her, in the shape of a living being that is currently connected to her. She will gain that persons abilities, memories, and characteristics and stay that way unless she dies, at which point the shell will fade and her true form will be revealed. Presumably, that same form would appear if 'Jane' was placed in a universe devoid of any life.
12.
13. In either case, she would form a much weaker shell made out of bits and pieces of any beings currently linked to her elsewhere, or that have been previously linked to her.
14.
15. As souls are not meant to be in the world of living, the moments that 'Jane' is without her shell are very unstable. Coincidentally, if one was trying to kill the universal soul, it is likely that this would be the only possible moment to do so.
16.
17. Description: The personality and physical characteristics of 'Jane' is fully dependent on where in the multiverse she is. She will take the identity of her shell, and as such be completely unaware of her identity as a soul, but she will have a light glow surrounding her, one that you can't really notice unless you are looking for it, at which point you can't miss it. Those who are spiritually inclined can see it with greater ease.
18.
19. The soul is a large glowing sphere of light, which generates energy similar to a sun. When in this form, 'Jane' only feels agony and confusion, which may or may not reflect upon any beings linked to her. She will try to flee and create a new shell as quickly as possible.
20.
21.
I'd imagine that, as 'Jane' spends more time out of a shell, keeping the shell as an exact replica of the closest being linked to her would get more and more difficult, and could even have interesting effects on said linked beings.
