- Gm, Cursed Anon delivers once more with Part 4. I felt proud of myself when writing this and I'm glad I'm sharing this with you right now.
- >Without many of the trees in the way, Charlie saw the night sky littered with glowing stars.
- >It wasn't like Pentagram City where the sky was always red and didn't twinkle regardless of the time. The stars were all scattered in a neat pattern like the clouds.
- >Charlie was enjoying herself and continued to observe her surroundings.
- >The city had a bustling crowd full of people traveling in groups. Cars were driving by with up to 4 people occupying them.
- >As Charlie looked around, she sees musicians in small groups playing jazz in the streets as performers.
- >Charlie walked around the city and noticed another sign.
- "WELCOME TO NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA"
- >There were so many types of people out at this time of hour due to the nighttime entertainment.
- -
- >Some of the strangers were eyeing at Charlie suspiciously which made Charlie somewhat self-conscious.
- >'Why are they staring at me? I still look human. Is it because of what I'm wearing? Maybe the humans want me to have short hair and a dress for this time period. I can fix it.'
- >'Wait, wouldn't it look weird if I shapeshifted a little in front of everyone? Hmm, I need to find somewhere private.'
- >As Charlie continues to walk through the crowds, she sees a deserted alleyway and looks around.
- >Charlie hides out in the alleyway and uses shapeshifting magic to alter her appearance to look less out of place.
- >She made her hair shorter and decided to wear a short-sleeve, knee-length pale red dress with a small hat resting on her head. She changed her typical shoes into black heels to look more like the other women in the city.
- >As Charlie fixes herself up to look presentable, she walks out of the alleyway and attempts to act natural.
- >There, she noticed more of the art that she could see through the windows in various restaurants.
- >Charlie finally hears the song she was looking for a block down the street and sees 3 performers with saxophones.
- >'I like this place so far, it looks so colorful and alive. There's music everywhere and a lot of beautiful art.'
- -
- >As Charlie immerses herself in her surroundings, she sees a group of people surrounding a shop.
- >Curious as ever, Charlie walks to the shop and sees a bunch of items in the shop.
- >One specifically, caught her eye
- >It was a small radio that is currently broadcasting the news to everyone here.
- >Charlie listened to the radio and noticed it talked about some kind of "stock market crash" that happened 2 years ago.
- >As Charlie got closer to listen to the radio, a sharp-dressed man tapped on her shoulder from behind which startled Charlie.
- >Charlie quickly turned around and saw a tall, tanned man wearing a suit with circular glasses.
- "Sorry if I startled you dear but I noticed you looked like you wanted to buy that radio over there. Say, are you a tourist because it looks like you can use some help here."
- 'A fresh face in the city, could be useful for me...'
- -
- >Charlie looked at the man standing 6 feet tall and noticed his ever present grin not dropping once.
- >Although Charlie doesn't want to lie, she knows she has no choice since she has to protect her identity.
- >Charlie thinks and musters a half truth as a compromise for herself.
- >"Well, I just got here from another city and I just wanted to visit and um, I just wanted to see how everything's like here."
- >The smiling man just stood there staring at Charlie and relaxes his posture somewhat.
- "Well that's just swell! I also came here to visit too since I also admire the various cultures here and the fairs are some of the best parts!"
- >"Really? What do people here do during the fairs?"
- >The man senses Charlie's naivety and tilts his head to the side a little.
- "Why darling! The fair gathers some of the most talented artists, musicians, and hosts to New Orleans to display their expertise to the public. It's a chance for performers here to spread their entertainment to liven things up around here."
- "Say dear, you hadn't introduced me your name."
- -
- >"Oh. My name is Charlotte but you can call me Charlie," Charlie smiles a little.
- 'Charlie. What a pleasant name..'
- >"Hey, you hadn't told me your name yet."
- "Apologies for my bad manners but if you truly wanted to know my name, my name is Alexander but please-
- >Alexander pauses for a second but resumes once more
- "Call me Al."
- -
- And that's all for part 4 for "Two Worlds Collide." Charlie finally meets Alastor and only time can tell what their current relationship could develop into. Part 5 is in the works and as always, stay tuned folks!
