  3. ---
  4. http://www.geoguessr.com - you see the Google Street View of a location somewhere on Earth, and you have to try to guess where you are (you get more points if you guess closer)
  5. ---
  6. p. 12 Do you think these statements are true?
  7. Do 1c with your partner. Are these important mistakes? What are the consequences if you make them?
  8. 1 I think the film starts at 8:00. (because “film” is singular)
  9. 2 Is there a restaurant in the hotel? (need a determiner before “restaurant”, “a” or “any” is okay)
  10. 3 I think women normally talk faster than men. (no “the” for generic plural nouns)
  11. 4 My friend gave me some very good advice. (“advice” is noncount, so it’s never plural)
  12. 5 I phoned my brother but his mobile was switched off. (no “to” after “phone” or “call”)
  13. 6 We discussed global warming in class yesterday. (no “discuss about”)
  14.
  15. Remember that you can use https://books.google.com/ngrams/ to check how common a word or phrase is in English books. “Discuss about” is sometimes used, but it is much much less common than “discuss”.
