Welcome to Alaric's Learning, a non-profit business dedicated to enlightening students of each age group, grade, and institution in various school subjects by offering top-notch tutoring services from a community of dedicated professionals. We encourage

First, when entering the server for the first time, users will find themselves in the #welcome-and-rules channel. Within its contents are a brief welcome message from Alaric Lacey, the head educator and CEO, and an outline of ground rules for the server. To reiterate, profanity, inappropriate messages, and hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated and perpetrators will be subjected to immediate punishment. This community aims to foster a judgment-free environment for individuals regardless of race, religion, sexual identity, disabilities, and other attributes or beliefs. Please contribute by being respectful towards one another.

Once you have read and understand Alaric's message, you should direct yourself to #flairing to receive access to the tutoring channels. Within #flairing are icons, each of which is designated to its own group of students. You must click on the designated icon for your group of students to be given a role. With that role, you have access to the remaining channels in the server, including your respective general chat and voice chat channels.

In #qualifications, each tutor will post a copy of his or her resume in order to prove his or her own qualifications for tutoring, so students can view them and decide which tutor would be best to schedule a session with. Whenever Mr. Alaric Lacey has an annoucements to make, he will post in the #announcements channel and notify each member of the server. Be sure to check back frequently for new announcements to stay informed about important events and changes involving the business.

Each group of students has access to its own channel for general conversations. Within these channels, students and tutors can communicate with each other on whichever subjects they wish. Students are encouraged to participate within these channels and use Discord's search feature to research previous information.

Students, if they wish, may use the designated voice chat channels to communicate with their fellow students and tutors both in and out of scheduled sessions. There are two types of voice chat channels: Regular and Stages. Regular channels are denoted by microphone icons before the channels' names. By allowing Discord to access your microphone, participants can partake in voice chats in one of the three channels named "Schedule Session." Stages channels utilize Discord's Stages feature. To describe what subjects are offered to each student group:

Elementary School: Kindergarten-2nd Grade and Upper Elementary School subjects

Middle School: 6th & 7th Grade Math, Pre-Algebra

High School: Algebra I, Algebra II, Chemistry, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry

College: Business Statistics, Business Calculus, and Algebra

High school students may also receive tutoring for their AP Calculus AB and/or BC exams.
