- [15:42] Sak'noth says, "Ah Omen.."
- [15:42] Sak'noth says, "There you are."
- [15:42] Sak'noth asks, "Could you.. Explain me more about your contracts?"
- [16:11] The witch gave a small nod before they would hold out a hand that quickly became enveloped in black occult flames, these flames grew reaching towards the ceiling before suddenly extinguishing leaving a piece of parchment to fall into Omen's waiting hand.
- "The contracts which I offer through Denath have very simple rules truthfully. First we must determine what is desired then we must determine a price appropriate for it; the greater what is being asked the greater what must be given in exchange," The witch paused reflecting partly on their system, in a way despite being unholy there was a strange amount of fairness to it.
- "Once both of us agree on terms they'll be judged by Denath himself and once he accepts them? It will go into effect, in most cases this means the item requested will be delivered and the price will be paid though that does depend naturally on what that price is," The witch paused for a moment though recalling briefly what it was the Khan sought, nothing trivial that was for certain, so they'd briefly glance back.
- "I can tell that this deal will be... potent so I will quickly go fetch something to help us assist with it. For now though consider what you will give for this pure aether you seek," A small bow was given before quickly the witch departed, it would not be long till they returned then though carrying with them a strange relic.
- A statue of some demonic form that they'd settle to the side of themselves and the Khan almost where a mediator may have stood; from how polished and well kept this was Sak'noth could easily guess that it was something important to them.
- "Let's continue discussing terms now."
- (Omen)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [16:22] Having recovered from his wound, there was the Khan. Ready to act, ready.. To get on with his latest project, which would depend on what happens today - so every word and explanation provided..
- They were listened to.
- "A deal, right.. I assume it could involve anything, as long as my request is heard.
- Good.
- That is what I wanted to hear." The creature commented, supporting itself with its wings to the side and then raising a hand - "You know, Omen... One of the things that makes my species reach new stages, is power.
- Raw.. Unrifined.. Occultic.. Ether.
- And this is something we accumulate the longer we live and the more we consume! But.. It becomes difficult the more we grow, mainly as we have so little.. Stock of food.
- Given the many enemies that stand at our door, stopping us from hunting, from growing - from becoming stronger. You do understand that, right?
- Of course you do." This little part was explained, before his attention went to some documents, while Omen departed.
- Upon its return, with a statue, the creature lifted its head and then continued. While staring at the object.
- "So, what I desire is only one thing, a crystal of pure ether from Helheim, which holds the strongest, most direct and concrete energy - of occult energy.. To be used in a ritual..
- During our next Sabbath.
- Can we do this? And what will be the price." The question was asked, as well as the explanation of what he wanted offered.
- Now it was time to wait and see what response will be.
- (Sak'noth)

- [16:58] The witch would nod along knowing very well the hunting problem that the demon spoke of and how the boldness of Aen had only worsened it; more than any other living creature demons needed conflict to reach their full potential but like any creature being killed rendered everything mute. With the current way their enemies guarded their borders slaughtering everyone who entered or left...
- There'd be a long pause though, too long for them to simply be thinking, their head was tilted in the direction of the statue as though... listening? Finally they'd nod turning their attention back to the Khan.
- "In his vast collections Denath does hold such a crystal, a concentration of the aether which Hel itself is made of. Even within his infinite stores this is one of the few of it's kind or at least of the high quality I'm capable of giving to you," Hands folded behind the witch's back now a breath being taken before they would speak again.
- "I cannot give this cheaply, I'll hear what you may offer for it but I have a suggestion that would likely please my lord greatly requiring two things on your part," To emphasis this point they'd hold up two fingers before they would lower one of them, "The first would be to, through your power as Khan, 'release' the slaves currently within Abendrot banning the practice in turn. There are a few reasons I want this yet, personal ones aside, the current system simply is impractical as seen through the embarrassing escapes of Kanin and others. It is too easy for someone to bat their eyes, lure out trust to walk around on good behavior before escaping when some equipment becomes faulty or runs out of charge," There was disdain in the witch's voice as they recalled the incident where the young rabbit brat had embarrassed them as their tower was taken.
- "The second would be to implement a system of indentured servitude to replace it; we'll be maintaining all the same workers, treating them largely the same even, but through a somewhat more palatable method. Legally binding contracts the most important of which will be done directlyin Denath's name," They gestured briefly towards the idol, "In exchange for sparing the person's life we'd be able to request anything of them such as a certain amount of years in our service or a debt to be paid. Should the conditions of the contract be broken, say through a prisoner running away because their collar fails, they will be brought back to us to be dealt with," The witch spoke this last part a smile clear to hear in their voice, as though they'd just offered the perfect fix to a problem.
- "Future allies may be more willing to work with us without the threat of shackles and easily this decision could be worked into something which the Ordo Plagus can proselytize as a sign of your wisdom or benevolence or whatever they need to say to convince the masses to be sympathetic towards you. All the while? Denath's influence will spread quite significantly which will greatly please him," A nod was given again before the witch finally would stop speaking looking back to Sak'noth.
- "What do you think of this offer?"
- (Omen)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:09] Power was needed, the capability to turn the waves of fate - to make everything return to what it should.. that is, with the demons being the dominant lords of these lands, so that Sak'noth could focus on his own goals.
- Consume the world's mana, leaving everything in perfect balance.. With him, in power.
- As needed.
- "It's an acceptable thing, since most other things are impossible to offer.
- Soul? Ha, something unlikely for example." Since well, he didn't have one, he was a demon.
- He didn't have such things to offer.. So that deal? Yes, it was possible to do so, as long as he remained in power - something plausible, unless they eliminated him, something equally possible.
- Quite the thing.
- "So how do we effect this deal? Do I sign something?" He questioned, while one of his wing feathers was removed and this one used to stick or rather, stab into his flesh.
- Thus, wetting the tip of the pen.. With blood, demonic ichor. Ready to sign he was.
- (Sak'noth)

- [17:27] The witch was quite pleased their idea hadn't been challenged given how much they thought they had put into how to pitch it because truthfully? Just as they wanted these changes for Denath they wanted them more selfish reasons namely? Personal disgust with the practice that had grown far too similar to how a certain city of balance treated it's lowest rung.
- "Yes to put the deal into effect you'll just need to sign but let me go over the final details."
- The parchment which the witch had summoned had unraveled itself while they first spoke an invisible pen burning the deal's terms into the paper while things became settled; it was unnerving the speed which the contract came into existence almost as though some force was quite eager for it.
- "In exchange for the Aether of Hel from the Baron's treasury you'll release what slaves the nation of Abendrot currently holds before implementing a system of indentured servitude to replace it," Omen made it all sound quite simple yet they would frown partly considering...
- "At the latest this will be done before the siege of Aen," A relatively reasonable date as well as one that would give the Khan a bit of time to prepare logistically, "If that is acceptable? Yes you would sign here, here, initials here and one more right at the bottom," The witch stepped forward showing the Khan each spot in turn before they'd leave him to make the final choice.
- (Omen)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:33] With the contract manifested, the being nodded. Apparently it wouldn't have any problems and personally, he never really liked the idea of slaves - who for him, were extremely useless! He never needed it, never used it.
- Even Mya had been released, from slave to Hand.
- Now, with simple gestures.. his name was transcribed,
- Sak'noth.
- Before finally, the being throwed the feather through a rift that manifested itself to his right, "Of course, I will make the announcement soon once possible, don't worry.. Until then, your contribution is more than welcome.
- It is.. Will be of great help for us to have a chance." And with that, he waited.. To know if he would receive it now or not, the relic he went through all that.
- Which, should be used in his ritual, very soon.
- (Sak'noth)
