→ personality: jaebeom isn't your stereotypical basketball player who is stuck up doesn't care much for his grades. he doesn't even love basketball as much as the stereotypical basketball player does - he loves it more. way more. so much so that he spends all of his time that isn't schooling or doing chores practicing basketball, whether it be at the school gym or with his rickety, makeshift basketball net at home. he ensures that he's available to play at his all of his school basketball games, even if it means moving or missing an important date. if he even missed a mere practice, he would make a big deal out of it. this is all because he dreams of being a player on the south korean national basketball team (kba). he makes sure to do his homework and study because he knows that a decent grade will be needed even if he wants to be a basketball player. he isn't the top in his class or even on the honour roll but he passes with mid 70s. with that being said, he doesn't really pay attention to all of the fans, both male and female, that he gets because he knows that they will just be a distraction to him, a distraction to his future basketball career. however, he's nice enough to them that they don't deem him as the asshole on the school basketball team.

	jaebeom grew up in a pretty average, middle-class family - nothing too amazing - in the korean city of seongnam. the only thing was that his biological mother left his family when jaebeom and his older brother were only elementary kids. though it was obviously a disheartening move, jaebeom and his brother soon grew past the issue when their father re-married to another woman. their stepmother soon became closer to jaebeom and his brother than their biological mother had ever been to them.
	jaebeom's father also loves basketball as a sport and was the first person to show his sons how to dribble and shoot. however, he didn't think that both of them would want to dedicate their lives to it. preferably, he wanted at least one of them to pursue his car shop but he is completely fine with both of them doing their own things - he knows that owning a car shop isn't the most fulfilling career anyway. he practices basketball with jaebeom and, sometimes, jaesang though he admits he has lost his touch due to his aging.
