  1. The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time
  2.
  3. Platform: N64
  4. Released:
  5. 21.11.1998 (J)
  6. 23.11.1998 (NA)
  7. 11.12.1998 (PAL)
  8.
  9. Based on: PAL-version (NUS-NZLP-EUR)
  10.
  11.
  12.
  13. - The game does not keep track of your play time.
  14. - A fairy in a bottle will now revive you with full health.
  15. - A full day lasts for approximately 5 minutes. The day is about 3m 10s
  16. (from 06:00 to 18:00 in in-game time) and the night is about 1m 50s
  17. (from 18:00 to 06:00). Time moves forward in the following areas: Hyrule
  18. Field, Hyrule Castle Grounds, Lake Hylia, Death Mountain, Zora's River,
  19. Gerudo Valley, Desert Colossus.
  20. - You move faster going backwards than forwards.
  21. - Use the first person view mode if you need to finely adjust the direction
  22. you're facing.
  23. - Don't forget to take advantage of save-warping.
  24. - Whenever you see a countdown timer, the time you actually have is 1,2
  25. times the figure shown.
  26. - Use the mute button if and when the voice acting gets on your nerves.
  27.
  28.
  29.
  30.
  31. --- Kokiri Forest ---
  32.
  33. Item: Kokiri Sword
  34. Shop: Deku Shield - 40 R
  35. - Get the sword from the south part of the village, then buy a shield.
  36.
  37. --- Lost Woods ---
  38.
  39. Special: Deku Stick capacity upgrade (20 max) - 40 R
  40.
  41. --- Inside the Deku Tree ---
  42.
  43. Item: Slingshot
  44.
  45. --- Lost Woods ---
  46.
  47. Special: Deku Seed capacity upgrade (40 max)
  48.
  49. --- Kokiri Forest ---
  50.
  51. Item: Ocarina
  52. - Playing a song you haven't learned yet does nothing.
  53.
  54. --- Gerudo Valley ---
  55.
  56. HePs: #1, #2
  57. - You can destroy crates by rolling into them.
  58.
  59. --- Lake Hylia ---
  60.
  61. HeP: #3
  62. - You can get a Heart Piece by playing the fishing mini-game, but given
  63. how fucking tedious it is, I would suggest passing up on it.
  64. - Play the ocarina to the other scarecrow to set the Scarecrow's Song.
  65. This one doesn't show up on the list and won't do anything yet.
  66.
  67. --- Hyrule Field ---
  68.
  69. - Don't forget to save your game every now and then.
  70. - Climb the chains of the drawbridge and jump towards the other side to
  71. get 3 red rupees.
  72.
  73. --- Hyrule Castle ---
  74.
  75. Items: Weird Egg, Chicken, Zelda's Letter
  76. HeP: #4
  77. Special: Deku Seed capacity upgrade (50 max), Zelda's Lullaby
  78. - Do *not* attempt to beat the Treasure Chest Contest.
  79. - At night, lead one of the dogs to the woman living in the back alley.
  80. One of the white ones is the right one.
  81. - Visit the castle grounds, leave, then come back and talk to Malon.
  82. Wait for the egg to hatch, then use the chicken to wake up Talon.
  83. - Playing, for example, Zelda's Lullaby to a Stone of Truth will produce
  84. a fairy.
  85.
  86. --- Kakariko ---
  87.
  88. Items: Bottle, Hylian Shield
  89. HePs: #5, #6, #7
  90. Special: Adult's Wallet (200 R max), Sun's Song
  91. - With 10 Skulltulas, you can get the Adult's Wallet.
  92. - Sidestep from the watchtower, so you can talk to the guy on the roof
  93. and get the two Cuccos behind the fence. I'm not sure if this is the
  94. way you're supposed to get there, but I'm not aware of any other method.
  95. - Catch a bug in the bottle, so you can get the Skulltulas hiding in
  96. soft soil.
  97. - You should avoid fighting zombies and mummies when possible (at least
  98. until you get a better weapon).
  99. - Playing the Sun's Song moves time forward. When played in an area
  100. where time doesn't move, it will advance time to noon (12:00) or midnight
  101. (00:00). When played in an area where time does move, it will advance
  102. time to morning (06:00) or evening (18:00) and without re-loading the
  103. area. Within dungeons, it won't affect the time, but it can be used to
  104. stun zombies and mummies.
  105. - The Heart Piece Dampe can dig up for you can be found in any grave.
  106. The roll is made the moment he digs.

  114. Saria's Song first)
  115. × Spooky Mask: Kid at the graveyard
  116. - The guy who buys the Bunny Mask won't appear yet. Wearing the Bunny
  117. Hood does *not* increase your movement speed.

  188. you find at Lake Hylia.
  189. - Once you have the scale, use the warp to reach Lake Hylia.

  209. --- Inside Jabu-Jabu ---

  212. - The dungeon isn't hard, but it can be very annoying. When jumping
  213. down from the middle room, make sure you've got the right hole and
  214. you're not moving too much.
  215. - The mid-boss can be pretty tricky as well, but once you do get a
  216. chance to attack, a single Deku Stick jump attack is all it takes. If
  217. you don't want to chase it, just let it hit you and you'll get a good
  218. chance to stun it when it turns around afterwards.
  219.
  220. --- Kakariko ---
