  1. β€œAlonso Armando, I keep people alive.” Or that's what I tell everyone anyway. But it get's me work I suppose. I never thought that when my father sent me to school I'd end up following in his footsteps in one way or another. My father, Alonso Armando the third, was a rather wealthy merchant back in Mu. I showed promises rather young and when the day came he shipped me off to school after school to better myself. My father had this rather strange idea that the more I knew the better I'd be as a merchant. He believed I'd expand his enterprises far beyond the normal possibilities. I never knew what mental disease he suffered from but it would take it's toll eventually I was sure.
  2. Needless to say I grew to hate my father. I felt he never really cared to have me around with how often I got tossed from school to school. Eventually I found my way into High mountain academy. When I got there it felt like any other school, it wasn't until I met a rather peculiar professor that I felt I had found a place to really call home.
  3. When I was being tossed from school to school I didn't make many friends so I had to make my own. I focused on my studies, but I never really focused on anything in particular. I just read and read and read and eventually I knew everything about nothing. I loved books but it wasn't until I met Dr Baledin Beedle that I found a proper focus to put my knowledge to use.
  4. I shouldn't say that it was Beedle alone that I found my calling, but that group he introduced me to. The RHU, or Radical Healers Union, I didn't agree with everything they said but the group seemed dedicated to something I myself found rather important. The pursuit of knowledge.
  5. I learned much in that school. Magic, religion, The planes, even a little guilty pleasure of mine, but through these arts I began my pursuits of the mysteries that surround our world.
  6. One day though, the higher ups in the RHU did something drastic. They staged a coup, it failed rather horribly. Almost all of it's members scattered to the winds. Some kept in contact but others just...disappeared. I stayed at the High mountain academy and graduated with a doctorate in planar arts, and a minor in philosophy.
  7. After graduation my father visited me for the first time in...since he shipped me off to be honest. He said I'd done him proud and it was time to take my place in his world of merchants. I turned him down plainly and bluntly. We had a rather heated argument for over an hour before he stormed off to find a lawyer. It didn't matter, I had already booked a flight to an Island by the name of Situla. From what I had heard they had a problem with undead there.
  8. When I arrived nine years ago I found things much as they are now. Politics aside, the nation is a mess. I found myself in the capital and decided it was the best place to set up shop. I found an apartment near the market district and started to apply a trade I'd learned from the RHU, Healing. I also freely shared my knowledge with those who sought me out but healing people has been what's primarily been keeping me afloat. My business started to boom when I began to offer going traveling aid to adventuring parties, or in most cases Noble task forces.
  9. When I took on a job I kept certain policies, I made these policies know to the party before I joined up. I think the most important is my strict confidentiality agreement. When I take a job certain information stays with my person, and while I share knowledge freely I don't disclose personal information.
  10. I've taken a lot of jobs in my time here, and met quite a few people. Though few I'd ever call my friend. Though there are a few I would say could be...a few knights here and there have earned my respect. I even keep a few on first name basis, to their disdain of course.
  11. During my stay here I received a letter from one of my father's friends, he'd apparently lost everything and subsequently died of shock. I wasn't at all surprised. What my mother was doing? I haven't the foggiest, she left my father sometime after I graduated I hear. Unrelated reasons I'm sure. But none of that is important. All that matters to me is my work here in Situla. I heard a rumor that prince Cinead is planning some expedition of some sort soon. Maybe I'll look into that, after all, maybe my old friend Lady Graeme is part of it. I always enjoyed our conversations.
