Tears apart terrain with Atomic Ray

A beat. Nobody moved, each one silently daring the other to make the first move. There was no other living soul around to interfere, no one to distract from the duel fated to commence. It was only a few agonizing seconds later when the first action to initiate combat went underway, but it wasn’t a battlecry or a sudden lunge or anything like that.

It was an electrical hum.

Azure light began to travel up his dorsal spines, beginning at his tail’s tip and making the journey upwards along his back. With his bony protrusions glowing like neon lights, Godzilla parted his jaws, moving faster than one might expect from a leviathan such as he, before he discharged a sweeping shot of his Atomic Ray. The pillar of cerulean radioactive might ripped through the stone ground the four stood up, carrying with it a series of explosions that left a trench deep enough that it could be used as a makeshift moat. Cheetah flung herself backwards from the incoming ray, Sniper and the Nanotyrannus following her cue and jumping away as the Atomic Ray decimated the surrounding terrain in a sweeping arc, tearing down two of the stone structures erected amidst the gardens lining the outside of the complex.

Having made the first move, Godzilla gave a bellowing roar into the heavens, demanding that combat be the name of the game. The kaiju would certainly get his wish, for the other three combatants would promptly engage in the battle that would surely risk their lives.
