  13. Intent With Rank/Skills/Knowledge: With there being a few demons and a few kais I wanted to spice up the roleplay in the afterlife and play the role of an Earthborn makaio sent to Hell to hone his skills(going in line with the kais and demons being sent to afterlife after the start of the wipe). I assume as the wipe goes on a few more casualties will come along with the potential to be revived and perhaps if my main key character dies I'll be able to smoothly transition more into this one as I work and interact with more of the souls in the afterlife. A good deal of this stems from a basic idea of backstory I wanted to craft surrounding this character's origin and parentage.

  15. RP: Kamui grew up in a desolate slum upon Earth, the offspring of two otherwordly beings that made their home in a crime infested cesspool, littered with pirates. His father served under a higher demon who'd managed to come to Earth spreading his villainy through tormenting traders and seizing their assets on the high seas. His father served the man, a beast of considerable strength, a demon of Pride himself one which served as the commanding officer of one of the 7th fleet of the Kuroi Hakchou(Black Swan) Pirates. An organization spanning across many of the lesser nations, controlling trade and trafficking on Earth far from the walls of Greygate and tribal lands respectively. With his father regularly gone on long voyages, Kamui was tasked with taking care of his sickly mother, a kaio brought to Earth after a forbidden unity with his father left her cast from Heaven's good graces. His mother's sickness stemmed from her absence of the rejuvenating aura's of Heaven. He also had to look after his young sister in the dilapidated port town which they were settled in, on a mountainous island where a manor housing the man whom employed his father, simply known by his moniker 'King of the Night', or 'King of the Yato'. The 'King of the Yato' who employed his father was a makaio as well as Kamui and his sister, being the older half-brother to his pure demon father. Between the three, a trait stemming from his father's side, all the makaio in the city were of pale complexion, inheriting it from their kaio ancestry. But with this they developed a form of light sensitivity as a genetic defect from the mingling of kai and demon blood. AS such they typically carried parasols, to shade them from the sunlight which greatly weakened their physical forms.

  17. As a youngster Kamui got mixed up in the various street gangs of the port as a way to provide food for his wasting mother and his innocent sister, getting into brutal scuffles in the dead of night and slowly learning that he was far different than those he fought. His strength was completely inhuman as he cracked the bones of boys who appeared to be of similar youth, although as a makaio, unbeknownst to him his small frame was fully mature while he was violently climbing the ranks of the ruthless cutthroat gangs and earning himself a title, 'The Smiling Demon of Rakuyouu'. He provided well for his family, keeping his sister out of trouble and keeping them fed, all the while masquerading his second life, serving the criminal enterprises in Rakuyouu. That was until....his mother ultimately perished, without the rejuvenating energies present in heaven her kai body finally succumbed to true death, leaving Kamui and his sister practically as orphans. Kamui had to bury his mother himself and the only two people at the 'funeral' were him and his sister. His father remaining an absentee in their lives. Something Kamui never truly came to terms with, even on the few occasions his father showed his face, his mother and his sister showed such admiration towards the man while the only thing building in his mind was contempt, but he never voiced it or challenged his father.
  18.
  19. The loss of his mother and the struggle of trying to support himself and his sister carried on until their father returned finally learning that his wife, and their mother had perished in his absence. Before she had passed she enlightened Kamui as to why her sickness plagued her, but she refused to leave their new home, waiting for that worthless man she let herself die for his desire to take her from Heaven and have her all to himself. This fueled a burning rage in Kamui and right there, he challenged the man ready to kill his own blood for the carelessness demonstrated by the man he called 'father'. His father knew of the blood running through his son, and what it entailed in a fight, although he hadn't expected the sheer power the boy had. A power which led the boy boy severing one of his arms, ripping it from his socket and tearing the arm cleanly off like a ravenous animal. This drove his father into a rage unseen by the likes of Rakuyouu and he did not let his bloodlust hold back. He battered Kamui, breaking the boy and leaving him shattered before taking Kamui's sister and leaving the boy to rot.

  21. Kamui crawled, and crawled, through the streets of Rakuyouu, reaching the grand carved staircase of the palace housing the 'King of the Night', a burning rage in his bright blue eyes and his soul burning for vengeance and the courage to slay the beast that was his father and finally put his rage to rest. Once he made it to the palace the 'King of the Night', Housen saw the boys determination and rreports that his father had taken a ship and mutinied against the rest of the pirate fleet, decimating them and he took the boy under his wing, training him and honing him. But at a certain point he realized that Earth simply would not be enough. This boy had to experience Hell, in all of it's vile glory and with his power and resources he cast the boy to Hell, to linger among the demons as one of the makaio by the name of 'Yato' which translates to 'Night Rabbit'.
