- >Charlie breathed a sigh of relief as the exited onto the Hotel's back patio
- >She had spent most of the day looking over the Hotel's finances with Vaggie and a couple of the Anons
- >Tax time sucked, even in Hell
- >Now she finally had some time to herself
- >She decided to spend it sitting on the patio, with a calming cup of tea and a book she had been wanting to read for awhile
- >As she sat down however, Charlie got the feeling that she was being watched.
- >She looked around her; there was nobody else on the patio.
- >No one was looking at her through the patio doors
- >With her immediate vicinity clear, she looked out onto the land surrounding the Hotel
- >Finally she spotted something next to a large tree
- > It was a man
- -
- >He was a tall, thin man, with pale skin and dark crew cut hair
- >He wore a grey-blue suit and was carrying a suitcase
- >He simply stood there, looking at her
- >A chill went down Charlie's spine as the man continued to stand still
- >Just as she was about to call out, he turn and walked behind the tree next to him
- >A green flash quickly pulsed from behind, and then silence
- >Charlie wasn't sure if what she had seen was real
- >As she tried to process it in her head, a seemingly forgotten memory came to the forefront
- >As a child, she had been playing outside her family home with Razzle and Dazzle when she heard muffled shouting from a window
- >She had carefully peaked in and saw her mother and father talking with a suited man
- >Her father was shouting to the man about something, though the thick windows muffled what was being said
- >The mysterious man seemed to refuse to budge on whatever it was they were talking about
- >After a few minutes of this, the suited man walked off into a door and vanished from view
- >Lucifer slumped down in a nearby chair, Lilith sitting down next to him.
- >Both wore looks of dread and concern on their faces
- >As the memory ended, Charlie's mind was filled with questions
- >Who was that man?
- >Why was he talking to her parents so long ago?
- >Why did their conversation make her parents upset?
- >And why hadn't he seeming aged?
- >Charlie decided to head back inside, having lost the motivation to stay ouside
- >One final thought entered her head, something she couldn't recall ever thinking herself
- >It was like someone had told it to her
- >"Prepare for unforeseen consequences."
