- The Manastream: The Manastream is used to describe two different things throughout the realm. Often times, the word is used to describe the vast network of planes connected to one another through the mysterious pillar of magical energy. These planes sometimes interact, bringing up inexplicable changes or happenings through the world of Erilen, and in many cases, changing the state of the land or influencing the culture of its people.
- 20 years before the start, the Manastream had simply stopped. The pillar disappeared, leaving a gaping sinkhole where it once shot out from. Shortly after the manastream had died, the world began to wither. The first victims were the Fey, who slowly died out due to the lack of mana within their area.
- Souls: Souls: Souls are the 'core' of individuals. Within this core, one can find mana, which is the life source of everything. Wizards tap into their mana reserves to cast magic. Souls are required for life, without a soul, that being simply ceases to exist. It's 'erased' from existence, so to speak.
- Manasprings: Throughout the world, there are pools of mana; which is essentially magically infused water. These fountains and springs are what prevent the world from dying out entirely. These wells of life are among the only places where civilization can cling to, such as the great city of Dragonspring.
- Planes: Realms, layers, dimensions. Many names are used to describe the hundreds of thousands of planes that are found throughout the multiverse. Each plane is unique and works in its own way, some uninhabitable, some brimming with life, and others being home to bizarre, alien creatures. Some planes are connected directly to Erilen through the Lifestream, which allows for easier access through the use of portals or Planeswalking.
- The Abyss: The Abyss is chaos incarnate. It is where the souls of incredibly sinful mortals go as direct punishment from the gods; when hell doesn't do it, The Abyss does. The Abyss is a sprawling plane filled with demons and an innumerable amount of layers, and likewise, an innumerable amount of Abyssal Lords. These Demon Princes are locked in constant battle with each other; no one being truly rules The Abyss; instead, it's an eternal blood bath.
- Timeline help: CE Refers to the Creation Era, which is the era in which Rhysvial and his dragons were both respected as fellow gods and godlings. The Era lasted for 2,000 years.
- TE is the Trinity's Era; or Murielle, Xalon, and Amelia's Era after the fall of Rhysvial.
- The roleplay takes place at exactly 4,020TE.
