  1. hi. i have a lot of ideas for future speedrunning. let's go through them.
  2.
  3. -Anodyne-
  4. i am capable of sub-28:20 in Anodyne 100%, and i intend to get it. if i don't have it by the time my marathon appearances for the summer are done, i'll grind for it.
  5. i've also been thinking about learning Any% Glitchless and All Bosses. i think i'm capable of running both, especially now that i have Manager and Rogue strats that lose less health and are more consistent. i want to watch through the Glitchless wr to see if it's necessary to collect the Extend upgrade like frenzied_coder does. would save a decent amount of time to skip it. not completely sure if i'll run either of these categories, but it's a possibility.
  6.
  7. -Starlight-
  8. this is what i was running before i started derusting Anodyne, and i do want to go back to it. i'm fairly sure i'm done with Any%, but i want to route out and optimise 100% and All Big Stars.
  9.
  10. -WaveLand-
  11. i very recently started feeling like i'm ready to play this game again. i'd like to learn and do at least one run of Savior%. i'm not sure about any%, unfortunately. i'm not completely sure why i very suddenly lost interest in this game, but i feel like i have unfinished business with it, and i want to tie up the loose ends.
  12.
  13. -Even the Ocean-
  14. i've been thinking of some shorter categories i could run (each set of 3 power plants, All Silos) that i could run, because the main thing blocking me from continuing with this game was its length. i still think it would be nice to do more with this game.
  15.
  16. -A Race Against Time-
  17. i want to route some free indie games from itch.io to submit to ARAT. the most likely candidates for this are called Corpse Box Racers, Funeral Simulator a.k.a. Hearse Drift and Mad Rad Racing. there are a number of other possible games on my radar which i'll trial.
  18.
  19. -Lemma-
  20. i've thought about strat-hunting for a No Major Skips category. other than this, i'm done with Lemma for the forseeable future, except for submitting it to in-person marathons (eg. GDQ, ESA). i won't be submitting it to any more online marathons for the time being. i love the game to death, but i want to move onto other things and not be a "Lemma runner" for online marathons.
  21.
  22. -Dank Tomb-
  23. this game looked interesting to me before it was released, and i loved playing it casually. i've definitely considered speedrunning it, although at the moment i'm not sure if i want to. i may put some time into strat-finding/optimising individual rooms instead of running the game.
  24.
  25. -Other Games-
  26. there are a large number of games i want to play and potentially speedrun. i saw st4rwave and doubletaco playing Pause Ahead on twitch and that looked really cool. i might learn NightSky at some point. when i finish Kero Blaster (eventually) i'll look into Pink Hour and Pink Heaven runs. i also got a large number of games on Steam during the sale that i want to play and maybe run. the main one of these is an anime platformer called The Maid_san's Caving Adventure. it's a fun little game that wouldn't be too hard to route, and i think it'll be a nice, if slightly tongue-in-cheek, speedrun. there's a short first-person game called NORTH that i might route and run. it's fairly linear, so it wouldn't be too tricky. i'd need to play the game again first to figure out how it goes, though.
  27.
  28. there are also a large number of indie games on the horizon or on my wishlist that i want to look into. Necrosphere is a two-button metroidvania that looks really cool; i'll definitely play it, and see how i feel about speedrunning it after that. i follow a lot of indie game developers on twitter that are making cool potential speedgames. the one that catches my eye is Elysis, although it's been in development for a long time, so maybe it'll be kinda long. you never know, though. i'm very mindful that i don't want to undertake a large/complex routing project, or commit to something before i've played a game. that's what i did with Even the Ocean, and although i don't regret doing a few runs of that game, i bit off more than i could chew, especially by committing myself to the game before it was released. if i want to route something, but feel that it might be too big a solo undertaking, i may draft in some others to help me out and take some of the pressure off.
  29.
  30. there's a huge list of games on my Steam wishlist and in my itch.io collection that i think would make cool speedgames. i'll probably never play most of them, but the ones that i play might turn out to be cool speedgames. you never know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  31.
  32. -Breaks-
  33. sometime later this year, i'll take a break from speedrunning to beat a Zelda game like i did last year with Ocarina of Time. this time round it'll probably be either Breath of the Wild or Majora's Mask.
  34.
  35. thanks for reading! i hope i'm able to juggle all of these different ideas effectively. i'd really like to be able to get to all, or at least most, of these. guess i'll see how it goes. onward!
