45. In the fictional town of Royal Woods, Michigan, Lincoln Loud is the only boy and middle child in a family of eleven children. He has ten sisters with distinctive personalities: bossy eldest child Lori; ditzy fashionista Leni; musician Luna; comedian Luan; athletic Lynn; gloomy goth Lucy; polar-opposite twins Lola and Lana; child genius Lisa, and baby Lily. Lincoln often encounters problems as a result of his large amount of family members, which his best friend Clyde helps him solve. Clyde spends much of his time at the Loud House and communicates with Lincoln via a walkie-talkie when he is not around. Lincoln normally explains his issues to the audience by breaking the fourth wall and speaking to the viewers. While most of Lincoln's plans to make his life easier backfire, his predicaments tend to bring the family closer together.
 46. Lincoln Loud is an eleven-year-old boy who lives with ten sisters. With the help of his right-hand man Clyde, Lincoln finds new ways to survive in such a large family every day.
 47. I was so deeply charmed by this show that I found myself creating an account IMDB just so I could write this review. This might be one of the last genuinely uplifting, life-affirming shows on television. I'd go as far as to say it's better than most shows made for adults!

From the very first strains of the playful theme song one is put immediately at ease by The Loud House's artstyle, which is absolutely drenched in the sunday funnies charms of yesteryear. Is it possible to feel nostalgic for a new property? Somehow, the show easily succeeds in baiting out that sort of affection from the viewer. Everything from the musical component of the program to the voice acting to even something as small as the shade of the wallpaper inside the titular house all seem specifically designed to lull you into a state of total, childlike comfort, as though sipping the milk left in your cereal bowl while watching old cartoons on a saturday morning. It's very easy to forget about the world lurking just outside your television thanks to the warmth and joy that seems to radiate from every frame of animation. I can't think of many other shows that use color this effectively.

All the characters, especially Lincoln, would seem to have enough charisma to anchor and sustain a decent series on their own, but when all these colorful personalities come together it's enough to create one of the most endearing families on television. It would take too long to go sibling by sibling to describe what I enjoy about them, and that wouldn't even be dealing with the parents of the kids, who can (and often do) steal any scene they're in. But that would be missing the point. The true key to the program, and what will keep you coming back, is the heart with which that family relationship is portrayed. You really will believe these characters love each other, and if one should apologize to the others for their behavior at the end of the program, the writing ensures that it never feels forced or contrived. Quite an achievement in this day and age when families, even in cartoons, are usually portrayed as aggressively dysfunctional.

If I had to make any complaints, it would be that the eleven minute format sometimes gets in the way of going as deep into that relationship as we might like. With so many characters and so little time, there will be occasions when you find yourself wishing for a longer stay inside the Loud house. There are a few full-length episodes usually centered around the holidays, though, and they're as good as you might imagine.

Honestly, if I could compare this show to anything, it would perhaps be the old Peanuts specials, sped up to the tempo the modern age seems to demand. The show doesn't reach such lofty heights every episode, but it does it often enough you'll find yourself eagerly awaiting the next premiere. The Loud House is easily the best program Nickelodeon has produced since the early seasons of Spongebob and I'm grateful children today have something with real heart to watch that's not simply the stomp-stomp-bang-bang noise that seems to have completely taken over modern cartoons. Here's to you, Lincoln Loud!
 48. Wow. I mean wow. How is that even possible? First, Stephen Hillenburg returns to Spongebob, then Nick announces the cancellation of Breadwinners, now shows like Harvey Beaks and The Loud House? I mean, these 2 new shows have the good things about Nick in it! I'm doing The Loud House now, since it has bigger ratings. Unlike new Nick shows, it breaks the 4th wall, but in a good way, because Lincoln, the main character of the show, explains some of his problems, and solutions, to some of his, and his 10 sisters, adventures! Let me explain the good things about this show! 1: The voice acting really fits each sibling's personality, since each sibling DOES have a different one. 2: The animation has really smooth movements, and the characters were drawn out really well, with their emotions. At first, I thought the animation was like TTG, but until I remembered shows like Wonder over Yonder, and Kick Buttowski, which were great shows, compared to TTG. 3: The adventures of the show are pretty realistic, with some you probably ran into! 4: The jokes and gags in this show are actually kind of funny, while the gags are used frequently. One of the gags is that Leni acts kind of silly. 5: Yes, there is gross-out jokes, but at least they do them right! According to MrEnter, how gross-out humor works, is that it has to be the character is suffering of some sorts, but it doesn't when it's just there. But here, it's used right! Now, if you're reading this, I highly recommend this good show!
