Bimbo Three Houses ch14- Grand Ball

With the Grand Banquet Ball before the Battle of the Eagle and Lion right around the corner Garreg Mach Monastery was in quite a tizzy, people planning events, preparing for the biggest mock battle of the semester and more. Despire all of those things though Edelgard and Byleth was in a much more relaxed mode, the two were in a side storage room they’d made claim too helping Marianne and Dorothea practice.

Before the ball would be a dance contest and with it came a potential reward for the winner, so they were trying to get two of their best into it, Dorothea was easy Marianne not so much.

“Oh sorry.” The blue haired girl said when she stepped on Dorothea’s foot.

“It’s no big deal.” The singer laughed “Though this is a partner dance that’s a big cumbersome.”

“Right.” Marianne blushed.

The two were having trouble given their large busts kept smashing together, though the professor and her lover seemed to be enjoying the show.

“It’s almost cute watching them struggle.” Edelgard said sitting in Byleth’s lap, the older woman rubbing her ass a bit as they eagerly watched.

“Don’t be mean.” Byleth giggled a bit kissing her.

“Are you two here to help us dance or make out?” Dorothea said “Cause if it’s the latter I wanna join in!”

“You need to focus on practice.” Edelgard said “I want to win.”

“Two girls dancing together, sure it won’t cause a problem?” Marianne asked.

“Of course not, if anything it’ll make you two more appealing.” Byleth smiled.

As the days passed Marianne and Dorothea practiced for the contest, when it was their turn, they made a surprising show, not only was it two incredibly beautiful girls dancing together they had great chemistry. Dorothea led taking on the dancing role traditionally used for men while the shy and nervous Marianne allowed her to lead, their curvy bodies swaying across the floor. They far out classed the other competitors and got a win for their house, which meant Catherine would be assisting them during the Mock Battle.

The rest of the ball was a nice peaceful time, people in nice suits and dresses dancing and mingling, plenty of people having a good time. Byleth was walking around the dance wearing a lacy black dress patterned similarly to her stockings. Still hanging around a dance with a bunch of her students wasn’t the ‘coolest’ thing and she knew that, but she also didn’t want to go and get drunk with the other faculty either.

“Hmm?” she saw Edelgard chatting with Dimitri, the blonde boy seemed a bit frustrated by something though Edelgard seemed pleased.

“Jealous of someone absorbing all your beloved’s time?” Sothis appeared with a smirk.

“It’s not like that.” Byleth went outside to get a little air “I just hope she’s not planning anything devious.”

“When isn’t that child up to something?” Sothis sighed “She’s special, but dangerous I can sense it. Try not to get burned by her.”

“Are you looking out for me?” Byleth snickered.

Sothis just huffed a bit before vanishing back into Byleth’s mind.

“Professor.” Edelgard came up “What are you doing all alone out here, waiting for someone?”

“I wasn’t waiting for anyone in particular.” Byleth said “Why are you here?”

“Again…no reason in particular.” The girl blushed standing with her lover “This place, the Goddess Tower... It was special to my parents. My father attended the Officers Academy himself. A few years after graduating, he was crowned emperor. One day, during a visit to the monastery, he snuck into the Goddess Tower on a nostalgic whim. And there she was, my mother, she had just enrolled in the academy that very year. They were instantly drawn to each other. Love at first sight, you could say. It was the first time either had truly been in love...or so the story goes.”

“That’s sweet.” Byleth smiled.

“Well, my father had already married for political reasons.” Edelgard explained “As the Empire demands many heirs, he also had numerous other lovers. In the end, my mother settled for becoming one of his many consorts. But I choose to believe there was genuine love between them. Heh, I suppose it's a silly story to cling to.”

“Why what’s silly about that?” Byleth said “If a couple are happy with a relationship like that, I think it’s fine, love doesn’t have to be so exclusive.”

“Oh, do you have multiple loves, I hope none rank higher than I?” Edelgard smirked.

“I’ll take a pass on answering that.” Byleth gave her a kiss.

“I suppose you should head back to the party, I’m sure there are plenty of students who’d like the chance to talk with you or dance with you.”

“You as well.” Byleth said.

“Yes I wasn’t aware I was so popular.” She laughed “Before I depart there was a rumor I heard recently, about some other students at this academy, perhaps we need to look into that as well. I’ll be counting on you to expand my forces you know.”

After heading back to the dance for a bit Byleth was going to head back to her room only to come across a strange sight, Rhea was on a nearby balcony singing softly into the night.

“This song…” Sothis stared off “Feels very familiar.”

“Oh professor.” Rhea looked back “We haven’t had the chance to chat in some time have we?”

“No, we’ve not.” Byleth walked over.

“I must say that is a stunning dress.” Rhea studied her “Leaving very little to the imagination, how like you.”

“You must be hot under all those layers.” Byleth said looking at Rhea’s robes.

“You must understand that an archbishop must project the proper appearance even if she worships a god of beauty.”

The two women had an uneasy tension between them, both were still feeling each other out but there was distrust in the air.

“I can practically see the flames.” Sothis laughed.

“If you don’t mind I’m going to be heading back now.” Rhea walked away “Try to stay out of any trouble professor, we wouldn’t want you to cause an incident.”

“Likewise.” Byleth said going the opposite direction.

“Now that was strange.” Sothis floated along “That woman, I think she’s up to something, same as you.”

“I’m sure time will reveal all.” Byleth shrugged “You know though after that dance I didn’t expect to be going back to my room alone.”

“You’re not alone.” Sothis smiled and winked “You have me after all.”
