2016 Speed Goals in Review

Here's a copy of my speed run goals for 2016, with some comments on how I did.... pretty well, I'd say! (Today's comments prefixed with ^)

Forget what I said about putting DKC2 on the shelf. I did achieve 1:33 in 102%, but now these are the goals:

-any% -> low 42
	^ not only that, but 41:51! The Garrison tie! Since Gari was one of the legends of speed running when I started this whole silly thing, matching his time is something I'm pretty excited/honored to do.

-102% -> 1:32
	^ would have done this last night if it weren't for the whole 'Cranky in the Lost World' debacle - but I was almost a minute ahead on a de-rust run, so.. yeah...

	^ Well I ended up not doing any of this. Got carried away on the Donkey train. Maybe next year? It was a late addition anyway.

I'm gonna start trying to do this game at least once a week/couple times a month or so. It was too fun for the #12HourChallenge, and I'd like to at the very least finish a run.

	^ I didn't get as into this as I expected to, but I did do a couple runs and it was a lot of fun. I'd love to be able to run this down to even as low as 2.5 hours, but not sure when or if.

If I do another #12HourChallenge, it will either be Shovel Knight or one of the Mario games below.

	^ It was Snoopy's Grand Adventure! Wasn't expecting to ever play, much less like and speed run this game, but it was cool.

First off will be DKC2 102% at 1:33 - then I'll be ready to put that game on the shelf.  I don't plan on taking any other speed games to as high a level as I did DKC2.

	^ Obviously that game didn't stay on the shelf, but I still don't plan on taking any other games to as high a level as DKC2. Funny that I said that then, as I now view where I was at to not really be that high of a level...

I'd like to get back into taking this game a little bit more seriously.

	^ I didn't play much of this, but I did manage to get a 1:46 in 100%. I love this game, and always will, but I'm just not sure when I'll ever put any real work into it.

Mario 3 is probably the priority here. I could see Mega Man week being really fun, though, and transitioning over to those games a little more seriously (maybe even some X games).
-Learn Super Mario Bros 3 (any% no WW and warpless)
-Learn Super Mario Bros (any% and warpless)
-Mega Man week (at least once, maybe twice)
-TRY FF9 any% at least once - I'd like to see how much the E2PG stuff translates (likely not much at all).

	^Of these, I did Mega Man week, and it was enough to make me think I really want to put some work into all of the games. I Got a decent SMB3 warpless time (1:19 without any real speed strats) and did a single SMB1 any% run. No way I ever try FF9 any% - especially now that I've long since forgotten anything E2PG-related
