Scene 6: Past and future

Walking towards his long dead mother who had been bought back to life in the fragmented world his brain had created, Neklous raised his right hand towards the woman.

He closed his eyes as he quickly imagine a future version of her that was healthy and free of sickness. Thinking he could save her in this world even if it wasn't real bought joy to his heart. He couldn't wait to see the expression of his child self when his mother was healed. Neklous's real mother died from cancer, that was a fact that couldn't be changed but maybe this child version of himself could be spared from such a fate since this was only a fragmented world of Neklous's imagination.

Opening his eyes, a wave traveled though out the fragmented world, changing the scene in front him once again. Expecting to see a happy child and healthy mother together, Neklous clenched his fist in anticipation. Reality was crual though as even in a fragmented memory, it wouldn't allow such things as happy endings to happen.

Appearing before him was his child self kneeling at a gravestone surrounded by beautiful flower and fields of green grass that stretched on to the rest of the graveyard.

It was obvious the child was mourning and soon would Neklous as his legs would soon grow weak, making him fall to the ground in a kneeling position and mourn just like the child version of him was doing.

"Why! I did what I was supposed to! Why! I imagined her healthy and happy!!!..why... why did she still die... why is it still the same..." Yelling out in utter disbelief and destress, Neklous yelled at the wolf as all strength left his body while he himself experienced mental break downs. His voice went from yelling and shouts to drained words filled with sorrow.

"Little Neklous.. Time can not change fate. If it is meant to happen, it will happen and there is nothing time can do to stop it. With time magic you can either slow a process down with 'Past' or speed it up with 'future." The wolf said.

Neklous kneeled there as tears dripped down his eyes. His body kneeled there like a rag doll as it was drained of all its will and strength. His doll blue eyes dolled once more as they became even more distance than they already were.

"But..."

"Time heals all"

Neklous said as he slowly picked himself up. His tears came to an end as with the sorrow in his heart as soon as he placed his right hand on his chest and whispered 'future'

Unknowingly to Neklous, rune tattoos of time began to form on his right arm. It was similar to his left arm except the glowing grey rune in the middle of the pupil less eye read 'Future' instead of 'Past' which was on his left palm.

"You are learning Neklous. I am impressed. Just as you willed a future version of to your mother to exist, you used the same concept and willed  your sorrows away by speeding them up to the future where time has already healed them shut" The wolf growled.

"Little Neklous.. its almost time for you to leave.. you've been in this false death cultivation state for almost a month in a half which is the limit of how long you can stay here. " The wolf added

"But I have only gotten through a few scenes and am just starting to understand the concepts of Time magic. I haven't even broken through its boundaries yet..." Neklous protested

"Oh but you may be unaware of this but you repeated each scene you have been through more than a thousand times. Each time you choose to do something different which either led you off the path of Time magic or mutated the scene to be a bit more difficult so that you could finally understand the concept of time magic presented in that particular scene. Also Although you are just a novice, you have long since broken into the boundaries of time magic. " The wolf exclaimed.

"I see.. it all makes sense now.." Neklous said after coming to a conclusion. The world began to vibrate intensely as if the whole world was experiencing an earthquake.

The stars shot from the skies like meteorites, leaving only a space of blackness in its fill. The moon shook intensely as crack began to appear on it.

"I guess its time for me to wake up.." Neklous said in a calm yet cool tone.

Just as the moon had about all that it could take, it fell from the skies like a meteor causing the skies to become a bright flaming red due to the moon falling out of orbit and becoming a meteor covered in flames.

Just as the sky began cracking in falling like broken glass the wolf who had been with Neklous through this whole ordeal spoke again.

"Neklous oh Neklous.. I have learned something as well.. Time magic is not your purpose.. it is not your dao as it is far too small for your ambitions. Time magic will only be a tool for you to use in order to reach new heights in which your ambitions lay."

"Remember..When you use this magic. you can not be in the present, you can only be in the past or the future!"
