  1. Yujin
  2.
  3. She was on her way home from school yet again. She sighed, thinking of how much homework she had to do once she got there. She thought of her little dog and how he'd maul her with kisses to her face as soon as she walked through the door. She smiled to herself as she turned the corner, bopping her head to the music inside. She crammed her tiny hands into her jacket pockets, bringing her shoulders up a bit. She looked around, humming to herself as she watched the familiar bushes and houses pass her by.
  4. She heard a twig behind her snap, followed by some rustling leaves and someone cursing. She ignored it and didn't turn around; her father always told her not to look back when there was a noise behind you for it shows you're scared. So she chose to keep going and put that small incident out of her mind. But little did she know the man behind her had been following her for quite some time. He was not a stranger to these parts of Seoul any more than she was; he'd been following her since about two years ago. He had learned many things about her, like where she lived and what foods she liked along with her favourite colours and who her friends were.
  5. He wasn't a stalker, nor was he a child molester. He was in fact someone who knew this young girl even more than her own parents. He had been with her since before she was born and was then instructed to follow her once she started school. He was her best friend and she didn't even know it. Sometimes when she had nightmares he'd be there next to her, soothing her and making sure she didn't wake up the next morning terrified. He stayed with her in the hospital that one time she broke her arm; he even signed the cast.
  6. My point is, she didn't know he existed, and he was supposed to keep that a secret from her, something he had kept well hidden, much to his dismay. But on this day, she met him for the first time and she wasn't scared or upset or even mad. But how he introduced himself was... odd.
