If Mewtwo is holding Leftovers to even potentially avoid the 2HKO (20% chance, only if Arceus has a Silk Scarf instead of a Life Orb), it misses the 2HKO itself. If Arceus is holding a Life Orb, then Mewtwo just kinda dies.
