オルガ
「そんなデカい物をあっさり奪われちまうとは…
宇宙にいる連邦軍は何やってたんだ?」
Orga: So while they were stealing this big ass thing in space... Just what the hell were the Feddies doing?

アムロ
「もっともな意見だが…相手が悪かったのさ」
Amuro: I’d have a similar reaction myself...if not for who it was that took it.

ブライト
「ああ…
シャアが動くかもしれないという話を聞き、
調べようと思った矢先だった」
Bright: Indeed... Char took action just when we’d heard rumors that he was up to something.

マリュー
「彼の目的は自軍の拠点確保ですか?」
Murrue: Does he intend to use it as a base for his forces?

シマ
「いや、過去の[ジオン]のやり口から判断して…
奪取した物を地球に落とすつもりでしょう」
Shima: No, judging from [Zeon]’s methods in the past... He most likely intends to drop it onto the Earth.

シマ
「少数の軍勢で世界政府に抗うつもりなら、
最も効果的な方法ですからね」
Shima: If one in his position were to attempt to topple a world government with inferior forces, it would be the most effective method.

アムロ
「俺もそうだと思う」
Amuro: I think so as well.

オルガ
「もしや、ロンド・ベル隊でそいつを止めようってのか?」
Orga: And I take it Londo Bell plans to put a stop to this guy?

「その通りだ」
Bright: Exactly.

ブライト
「すでに聞いていると思うが、
今我々の世界ではフィフス・ルナと呼ばれる小惑星が、
[ネオ・ジオン]の手によって落とされようとしている」
Bright: As I’m sure you’ve already heard, [Neo Zeon] is planning to drop an asteroid known as Fifth Luna on our planet.

ブライト
「推定落下地点は軍本部のあるラサだ。
ここを失えば、軍は大きな打撃を受けることになる。
それだけはなんとしても避けたい」
Bright: The predicted drop site is Lhasa, where the military headquarters is located. If we lose this place, it will be a devastating blow to the military. We must avoid this at all costs.

甲児
「ネオ・ジオンってのはヤバい組織なんだろ?
なんだってこうなるまで気づかなかったんだよ?」
Koji: Neo Zeon is a pretty dangerous organization, right? How’d no one notice what they were up to until now?

凱
「[ゾンダー]を始めとする、
外敵の対応に追われていたというのもあるんだろうが…」
Guy: I suppose it could be because everyone was so focused on contending with our foreign enemies, such as the [Zonders].

豹馬
「人間同士で争ってる場合かよ!
こんなんじゃ異星人どもにつけ込まれるだけだぜ!」
Hyoma: This isn’t the time for humanity to be fighting each other! We’re just leaving ourselves open for the aliens to take advantage of!

健ー
「母さんは生命をかけてまで、
地球を守ろうとしたのに…!」
Kenichi: Mom gave her life to protect Earth, and yet...!

ティエリア
「それだけこの世界では、
地球と宇宙に住むそれぞれの者たちの
対立が根深いのだろう」
Tieria: That just goes to show how deep-rooted the antagonism between those who live on Earth and those who live in space really is in this world.

バナージ
「だからって、こんなことを
やっていいはずがありませんよ!」
Banagher: But that doesn’t mean they should do something like this!

ブライト
「無論だ。
軍としてもすでに阻止に向けて動いている」
Bright: Indeed. The military is already taking steps in order to prevent it from succeeding.

ブライト
「よって君たちにも
我々ロンド・ベル隊の一員として、
落下阻止に協力してもらうことになった」
Bright: Which is why they want all of you, as well as Londo Bell, to assist in preventing the drop.

エイジ
「僕たちもですか?」
Eiji: Us as well?

ミサト
「軍が完全に敵に先手を打たれた形だから、
戦力が整っていないの」
Misato: The enemy completely outflanked the military and got the jump on them, so their forces aren’t prepared to respond.

アスカ
「なんていう怠慢!」
Asuka: How are they that careless!?

クルツ
「だから猫の手でも借りたいってわけね」
Kurz: So since they got their hands full, they’ll take any others that happen to be around.

ロックオン
「並行世界の俺たちが死んだところで、
軍の連中は痛くもかゆくもないだろうしな」
Lockon: And the death of a few parallel worlders won’t be turning any heads for the military.

マリュー
「それもあるでしょうけど…
軍は私たちの戦力なら、フィフス・ルナを
破壊することも可能だと考えているそうよ」
Murrue: I’m sure that’s part of it, but... The military does believe we possess the power to destroy Fifth Luna.

マリュー
「それにこの部隊は、
多くのガンダムを保有している。
民衆にもアピールがしやすいのでしょうね」
Murrue: Not to mention, this unit has a number of Gundams in its possession. I imagine that makes it easy to appeal to the masses.

アムロ
「常に勝利をもたらすガンダム神話か。
そんなモノは偶然に過ぎないというのに」
Amuro: The myth that the Gundam always brings about victory, huh? Too bad it’s just superstition.

「………」
Setsuna: ...

ブライト
「実際にはフィフス・ルナを破壊するとなれば、
そう簡単なことではないが…」
Bright: To be completely honest, destroying Fifth Luna will be no easy task...

ユージン
「簡単どころじゃねえ、小惑星だぜ?
しかも、地球の重力に引かれて落ちるかもしれねえ
状況でやれって言うのか?」
Eugene: Well yeah it’s not gonna be easy, it’s a friggin’ asteroid. And they want us to do this while the Earth’s gravity is pulling us down too?

シノ
「こんなんじゃ俺たちマジで鉄砲玉じゃねえか!
この世界の連中ならいざ知らず、
他の奴らはそれでいいのか?」
Shino: They’re pretty much sending us to die! So what, the people of this world don’t want to deal with it, but it’s fine if someone else does!?

明
「まあ、知らない世界で
無駄死にしたいとは思わないね」
Akira: Well, I for one don’t plan on having a pointless death in a world I didn’t even know existed.

キラ
「………」
Kira: ...

ユージン
「オルガ、こんな作戦、
本気で受けるつもりじゃねえだろうな?」
Eugene: Orga, you’re not seriously considering going through with this plan, right?

オルガ
「…そのつもりだ」
Orga: ...We’re doin’ it.

ユージン
「なっ…!?」
Eugene: Wha—!?

オルガ
「もちろん条件はつけさせてもらった。
成功すれば、これまでの俺たちに課せられた制限を
多少は緩めてもらう」
Orga: But we’ve got a condition. We pull this off and I want all the restrictions they’re piling on us taken off.

三日月
「ああ、あれ。
うっとうしいと思ってた」
Mikazuki: Oh, those. They were annoying.

オルガ
「同時にそのうっとうしいことを言ってきた連中だが、
俺たちの後ろ盾であるのも事実だ。
潰れちまったらゲートを探すどころじゃねえ」
Orga: Yeah, but at the same time, those annoying people have been the ones that were backing us. If they all go under ‘cuz of this, we’re gonna have a harder time searching for Gates.

カレン
「まあ…ね」
Kallen: Well...that’s true.

ブライト
「生命の保証はできない危険な作戦だ。
だが、どうか力を貸してほしい」
Bright: This is a dangerous operation, and I can’t guarantee your safety. But even so, I’m asking for your help.


第22話
『飛べ、宇宙に向けて』
Episode 22
Fly, Towards Space


(Scene begins on the map screen of a desert base. The battleships are all present.)

トーレス
「各艦、発射準備まもなく完了します」
Torres: All ships have nearly finished launch preparations.

アムロ
「このままいけばフィフス・ルナの落下に間に合うか。
思ったよりも順調に進んだな」
Amuro: If we keep this pace, we’ll make it in time for the Fifth Luna drop. It’s actually going smoother than I expected.

ブライト
「これもアメリカGGGに
協力していただいたおかげです。
ありがとうございます、雷牙博士」
Bright: That’s due to the American GGG’s cooperation. Thank you for your assistance, Dr. Liger.

雷牙
「なぁに、地球に隕石を落とされたら
僕チンたちも他人事じゃないからのう。
これくらいはお安いご用じゃわい」
Liger: Well if a meteor fell down to Earth, that’d make problems for the rest of us too. So don’t sweat it.

弁慶
「獅子王博士の兄弟らしいが…
またずいぶんファンキーな人だな…」
Benkei: That’s Dr. Shishioh’s brother, apparently... He turned out to be a pretty funky guy as well...

凱
「あれでも普通な方ですよ。
もしこの場に父さんがいようものなら…」
Guy: That’s how he normally is. But if my father happened to be here...

(The base detects something.)

スタリオン
「OH!
こちらの索敵センサーで転移反応を捉えました!
転移パターンは…ボアザンのものデス!」
Stallion: OH! We’ve detected an enemy transfer reading on our sensors! Transfer pattern is... It’s Boazan!

ブライト
「!」
Bright: !

(Jangal and Boazan mechs appear.)

ジャンギャル
「貴様らが宇宙に上がることなど予測済みだ!
この好機、逃しはせんぞ!」
Jangal: I predicted you’d be preparing to go into space! I won’t let this opportunity pass me by!

健一
「ボアザン…! こんな時に!」
Kenichi: Boazan...! Why now!?

ブライト
「ええい、今は艦を動かすことができん。
嫌なタイミングで攻めてくる!」
Bright: Ngh, we’re unable to move the ships right now. This is the worst time for an attack!

レムレス
「オケアノスなら単艦でも大気圏離脱が可能です。
マスドライバーとの接続を解除しますか?」
Lemures: The Oceanus is the only ship that can break through the atmosphere on its own. Should we disconnect from the Mass Driver?

シマ
「かといってすぐできるものでもない。
この後のことを考えれば足並みを揃えた方がいい」
Shima: We wouldn’t be able to do so right away. Furthermore, we need to consider what would happen afterwards.

ブライト
「やむを得ん。
マスドライバーの発射をギリギリまで遅らせる!
機動部隊はその間に敵を迎撃しろ!」
Bright: It’s unavoidable. We’ll delay launching with the Mass Driver until the last minute! Mobile units, intercept the enemy during that time!

(The player’s team deploys.)

ジャンギャル
「出てきおったな!
ここで貴様らを倒すことができればそれは良し、
そうでなくとも足止めできるだけで我らは充分よ!」
Jangal: You’ve come out! If we can defeat you here, then all the better, but even if we can’t, just stopping you will be sufficient!

キリコ
「こちらの事情などお構いなしか」
Chirico: Seems they don’t care about our situation.

一平
「あいつらボアザンにとっちゃ、
隕石の落下ひとつ他人事だからな!」
Ippei: To those Boazanians, a single meteor hitting the Earth isn’t a concern for them!

健一
「ボアザン、お前たちの思い通りにはならない!
早々に決着をつけてやる!」
Kenichi: You won’t have your way, Boazan! We’ll end this sooner rather than later!

スタリオン
「ロンド・ベル隊が迎撃にあたってくれるようデスね」
Stallion: It looks like Londo Bell will intercept them.

雷牙
「その方がこちらとしても助かるというもんだ」
Liger: That’s as much good for them as it is for us.

雷牙
(まだアレのお披露目をするには早すぎるからな…)
Liger: (It’s still too early to unveil that, after all...)

(Battle 1 begins.)

(Battle 1 ends when Jangal is defeated.)

ジャンギャル
「ぐっ…おのれ、地球人どもめ!」
Jangal: Ugh... Vile Earthlings!

ジャンギャル
「しかし、ただでは退かんぞ!
せめて戦艦の1隻でも、沈めてくれるわ!」
Jangal: However, I will not merely retreat! I can bring down at least one battleship!

(Jangal moves in front of the Ra Cailum.)

弁慶
「あいつめ、突っ込むつもりか!?」
Benkei: That son of a— Is he planning to ram us!?

トーレス
「しょ、衝突します…っ!」
Torres: Co-Collision imminent...!

ジャンギャル
「ははは!
沈めい!」
Jangal: Hahaha! Now to sink you!

(Jangal is suddenly attacked.)

ジャンギャル
「うおおっ!? 攻撃だと!?」
Jangal: Uooh!? An attack!?

ルーシェン
「今のは…?」
Lu-Shen: What was that just now...?

(Jerid and the Titans remnants appear.)

ジェリド
「フン、地球で宇宙人が
大きな顔をするんじゃないぜ」
Jerid: Hmph, you aliens shouldn’t get so cocky here on Earth.

刹那
「ガンダムだと?」
Setsuna: A Gundam?

カミーユ
「黒いMk-II…!
ジェリドなのか!?」
Kamille: A black Mk-II...! Is it Jerid!?


(Scene ends.)

(Next scene picks up where it left off.)


ジェリド
「全機、ボアザンの母艦に攻撃を集中しろ!」
Jerid: All units, concentrate you fire on the Boazanian mothership!

(Jerid and his men attack Jangal again.)

ジャンギャル
「くっ…地球人の援軍が現れるとは!
ええい、覚えておれよ!」
Jangal: Ugh... I didn’t think the Earthlings would have reinforcements! I’ll remember this!

(Jangal leaves the map.)

エイジ
「あの部隊は…僕たちを助けてくれたのか?」
Eiji: That unit...saved us, right?

龍馬
「気を抜くなよ。
あいつらは前に俺たちを襲ってきた連中だ」
Ryoma: Don’t let your guard down. This lot has attacked us before.

カミーユ
「ジェリド、俺たちを助けるなんて、
どういう風の吹き回しだ?」
Kamille: Jerid, why did you help us? Did hell freeze over?

ジェリド
「…勘違いするな、
お前を助けたつもりはこれっぽっちもない」
Jerid: ...Don’t get the wrong idea. I never had the slightest intention of helping you.

ジェリド
「標的は前と変わらんさ!」
Jerid: My target is the same as it’s always been!

(Jerid fires on Londo Bell.)

ブライト
「くっ…!」
Bright: Ugh...!

カミーユ
「ジェリド、お前…!」
Kamille: Jerid, you...!

アムロ
「俺たちはフィフス・ルナを止めに行くんだぞ!
それを邪魔するつもりか!?」
Amuro: We’re trying to stop Fifth Luna! Are you really planning to get in the way of that!?

ジェリド
「安心しろ、大人しく行かせてやるさ。
箱の鍵とやらを置いていけばな!」
Jerid: Oh don’t worry, we’ll be more than happy to let you go. As soon as you hand over the key to the box!

健一
「バカな…!
そんなことで足の引っ張り合いをしている場合か!?」
Kenichi: Idiot...! Does he really think it’s the time for that!?

キラ
「自分たちの地球が
大変になるかもしれないのに…!」
Kira: His own planet is in serious danger, and yet...!

(Battle 2 begins.)

(Battle 2 ends when Jerid is defeated.)

ジェリド
「くっ、他にマシな機体が回されてさえいればな…!」
Jerid: Tch, if only I had a better machine...!

カミーユ
「下がれよ、ジェリド!
お前の相手をしている暇はないんだ!」
Kamille: Back off, Jerid! We don’t have time to fight you!

ジェリド
「だろうな!
だが、このまま引き下がったんじゃ、
何のために出てきたのかわからなくなるんだよ!」
Jerid: I know! But if I withdraw now, then there’d have been no reason for me to come out here in the first place!

健一
「そんなつまらないこと知ったことかッ!」
Kenichi: Then you know just how pointless this is!

ジェリド
「なに…?」
Jerid: What...?

健一
「お前が生命をかけて戦うのは
そんなことのためなのか!?
お前だって地球人なんじゃないのか!?」
Kenichi: Aren’t lives what you’re fighting for!? Aren’t you an Earthling!?

ジェリド
「………」
Jerid: ...

ジェリド
「作戦は失敗だ!
帰投する!」
Jerid: The mission is a failure! We’re returning to base!

(Jerid and any remaining Titans leave the map.)

カレン
「引きあげた…?」
Kallen: They retreated...?

アムロ
「…あの男にしては、
ずいぶんとあっさりと引きあげたな」
Amuro: ...He withdrew rather easily, considering the kind of man he is.

カミーユ
「…ジェリドも今回の作戦は、
納得がいってなかったのかもしれませんね。
なんとなくですけど…そう感じました」
Kamille: ...Maybe Jerid didn’t fully agree with his mission this time. At least...that’s how it felt to me.

バナージ
「[ティターンズ]の残党を使ってまで、
ユニコーンを奪おうとするなんて…
いったい誰なんだ…?」
Banagher: I can’t believe they’d use the [Titans] remnants to try and take the Unicorn... Who would go this far...?

マリュー
「全機、母艦に帰投を。
収容作業が済み次第、発射シークエンスを再開します」
Murrue: All units, return to your ships. Once we’ve recovered everyone, we’ll resume the launch sequence.

雷牙
「ふぅ…ティターンズの残党まで出てきて、
さすがに少しヒヤヒヤしたぞ」
Liger: Phew... Even I was a little nervous when the Titans remnants showed up.

スタリオン
「ですが、戦闘の影響は大きかったようデス…」
Stallion: But the ramifications of this battle may end up being too great...

オルガ
「予定の時刻からは遅れちまったな…」
Orga: We’re gonna be late to the party ‘cuz of this...

ブライト
「この遅れが
致命的なものにならないことを願うしかない。
とにかく宇宙へ上がるぞ」
Bright: We can only hope this delay doesn’t prove fatal. Now, we’re going into space.

マリュー
「はい…」
Murrue: Right...


(Scene changes to an office, presumably the Vist Estate.)


アルベルト
「マーサ叔母さん…
もしまたユニコーンが敵の手に落ちてしまったら…」
Alberto: Aunt Martha... If the Unicorn falls into the hands of the enemy again...

マーサ
「再び奪還するか、
もしくは最悪破壊するしかないでしょう」
Martha: Then we’ll recapture it again. Or at worst, destroy it.

マーサ
「その時が来た場合は、獅子を使います」
Martha: Should that time come, then we will make use of the lion.

アルベルト
「あの機体を…!?
ですが、あれを扱えるパイロットなんて…!」
Alberto: That machine...!? But we don’t have a pilot that can handle it...!

マーサ
「彼女を調整しているのは、何のためだと思っているの?」
Martha: Just what do you think we’ve been readjusting that girl for?

アルベルト
「…!?」
Alberto: ...!?

マーサ
「私が上に立つ限り、財団の権益は何人にも
揺るがせはしないわ」
Martha: As long as I am in charge, the Foundations interests will not be swayed by anyone.

Titans

From:       Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam

A special task force of the Earth Federation established under the guise of hunting down Zeon remnants.
They were heavily oppressive towards Spacenoids.


ジオン

　一年戦争で地球連邦に敗れたジオン公国を指す。
　一年戦争の終わりにジオン公国はジオン共和国へと
変わり、地球連邦との休戦を締結するが、
休戦を認めない残党軍は数多く残った。

Zeon

From:       Mobile Suit Gundam - Char's Counterattack

This refers to the Principality of Zeon, defeated by the Earth Federation in the One Year War.
After the One Year War, the Principality of Zeon turned into the Republic of Zeon and signed a truce with the Earth Federation; however, many remnant forces refused to acknowledge this fact.

　シャア・アズナブルを総帥とする軍事組織。
　宇宙移民者の自治権確立を実現するため、
腐敗した地球連邦政府の打破を目論む。

A military organization led by Char Aznable.
Its goal is to overthrow the corrupt Earth Federation government and achieve autonomy for those living in space.
