- Plusle & Minun are banned because leading Plusle & Minun seems pretty oppressive, *unless* your opponent has Diglett. Also they both show up on the final boss's team in Under Colosseum, so it'd be weird for them to be top tiers in Pyrite.

- Volbeat & Illumise are banned because they also show up on the final boss's team in Under Colosseum.

- Mawile is banned because Mawile and Sableye are intended to be counterparts of sorts, and Sableye is probably too good to be in Pyrite.

- Furret is too good as a Follow Me mon. Linoone is too good with Extremespeed. Mightyena is banned because I figured it's probably better than Masquerain as an Intimidate mon, and Masquerain is the strongest Pokemon that shows up in Pyrite. So basically all fully evolved Route 1 mammals & birds are banned, except Raticate, because it is almost entirely outclassed by Miltank in Under (excluding Taunt i guess). This is somewhat debatable as Raticate is quite strong.

- Gligar is quite strong as an Intimidate immune Earthquake mon. Chimecho is a bit too good. Dunsparce is probably quite good with Serene Grace stuff. Tangela outclasses too many Grass/Chlorophyll mons. Murkrow is a decent utility mon. Wigglytuff has high BST and outclasses other Normal types. Parasect is probably too good idk. Smeargle probably too good.

- Yanma would be the best Kadabra answer if allowed, outspeeding after 1 turn and KOing with Signal Beam. Also has some use in higher tiers with CompoundEyes Swagger & Hypnosis.

- Any fully evolved 3-stage mon is automatically banned because if allowed, their middle-stage would have no tier for them to be usable in. The only exception is bug-types because they appear in Pyrite (and their middle stages can be allowed in Phenac with no issues). Sorry Pidgeot.

- Castform is a weird one, banned because it would probably shape the tier too much, idk.
