A very calm and wise individual, but tends to grovel before anyone higher than he is; he knows Nepeta's color but playacts groveling towards her in front of others, being more equal to her when they are alone.
As a part of the Ares/Athena group in this swap, he's known more for his wisdom and strength in combination; he can hold his own in a fight and his mental prowess is great. He can improve his physical strength with his mental powers, making him a deadly opponent...should he actually feel up to battling, as most trolls are higher in caste!

His ancestor was probably a warrior sort who could travel through space in order to cause destruction on Alternia. However, he took pity on a mutant and allowed her to live, guarding her until Doc Scratch found out and put an end to a very long palecrush by sending the warrior away, thus allowing the mutant to be captured.

A very beautiful troll despite her low blood (and limited access to fashionable outfits), Feferi manages to make do and impress many highbloods, who seem to respect her. She has a slight attitude sometimes, but most are too enthralled with her beauty to notice.
As part of the Aphrodite/Hephaestus group, Feferi has a respectable amount of strength, although not enough to destroy ruins. She can sense the emotions of others, which allows her to think carefully about her actions before performing them.

Her ancestor was probably a very beautiful troll, one whose beauty made the Empress jealous. The Empress beseeched her finest hunter, an azureblooded troll, to find the beautiful troll and kill her. He did so and hung her body in the middle of one of the biggest cities for all to see, with a sign around her neck: "N969DY 6LASPHEMES THE EMPRESS' 6EAUTY".

A loose-cannon with powerful psionic powers, the last thing you want to do is piss Gamzee off. Luckily, most of the time he seems good-natured, albeit a little morbid. He has a sopor addiction that tends to make him more mellow than normal.
As a member of the Poseidon/Hades group, he takes more after Hades, being loyal to whoever earns his respect or liking and being cruelly vengeful to those who harm or take them away.

His ancestor was a pet of the Empress', a former slave who the Empress fell for. She pampered him and made him her dealer of death, allowing him to rend her enemies with his bare hands and his psionic powers. He wore the finest of jewels and the latest of fashions, thanks to the trend-setting Empress' flushed feelings for him.

A very wary and insecure individual, Nepeta isn't allowed to do much without her cat lusus throwing a fit at her. As a result, Nepeta has to carry around a few spray bottles both for the cat and for misbehaving trolls.
As a member of the Zeus/Hera group, Nepeta represents Hera the Girl and young Zeus, who would lead her team through SGRUB an immature child, and mature to be a fierce but kind leader.

Her ancestor was a mutant who was taken from the brooding caverns and raised for a sweep or two with a jadeblooded caretaker before his own mutation was discovered and he was slaughtered. She had managed to
escape alone, and while mourning, was discovered by an azureblooded hunter.
He took pity on her and raised her himself, disguising her as a maroonblood so she wouldn't be discovered. During her lifetime, she realized that the Empress was a very petty woman, far unlike her two kind caretakers; at adulthood, she stood against the Empress as a one-person rebellion, listing the Empress' cruel actions against her, before spitting at her feet and saying she was a disgrace.
The mutant knew she would die, but her death was quick: hung by a noose. She suffered no humiliation, as only the Empress and her caretaker knew of her death.

Aradia is training to be a great warrior, constantly dueling with trolls whilst FLARPing for the maximum experience. She hopes to be a Scuffer, one who fights the mightiest warriors of each soon-to-be-conquered world. Despite this, she's actually a very kind individual.
She more represents Ares' craving for battle, tempered by the wisdom of Athena. Like Ares, she immerses herself in the instincts of war; however, like Athena, she believes that conquering worlds is just, and that the war for her Empress is also just.

Her ancestor was a fierce warlord who lived until the end of her life fighting wars. She was also notorious for several techniques that the Empress was impressed by, and made every new recruit Scuffer learn. It was said that the warlord conquered an entire planet by herself without breaking a sweat.

A smart-assed individual, Tavros longs for the fun of FLARPing with his flushcrush Vriska, but due to his jade blood, he's forced to live with his mother grub lusus and kill zombies. bORING AS HELL,
As part of the Aphrodite/Hephaestus group, Tavros more takes his model from Hephaestus than Aphrodite, which is pretty apt due to their leg problem. Tavros was probably crippled from attempting to do a landing stunt, causing Equius to build him robotic legs which he tries to take very good care of.

His ancestor was a winged jadeblood who, hiding his wings, lived through to adulthood and found a mutantblooded grub; he escaped with her, and when she was a wriggler, was captured because his wings were discovered. He beseeched the mutant to run, and he was culled in the streets.

Vriska lives in a large hive near her spidermom, who still eats trolls but has a better appetite. As a result, Vriska has to bring in trolls using various lures and her lusus' webbing. She also tends to be a massive flirt in all quadrants, and has alllllll of the loot.
As part of the Poseidon/Hades group, she has Poseidon's flirtiness and Hades' tendencies for wealth. She's also massively fun-loving and generally amiable past the 8itchiness.

Her ancestor was a 8aroness who sponsored the oliveblooded warlord, allowing her champion to go into battle and welcoming her back with pampering. When the warlord went to go conquer planets, the 8aroness was ushered into the Empress' court of advisers, and given hearty attention from the Empress.

Azure - Karkat - Page of Time (Kankri: Rogue of Time)

Karkat has a rowdy Crabdad who he feeds most things with meat to, resulting in a bloody appearance to the place. He's also still a very shouty individual, an expert in romance, and a very loyal troll to be around; he's still a bit immature despite these traits, however.
As part of the Zeus/Hera group, Karkat takes more from Zeus as a ruler and Hera the Adult Woman, being strong in will and a great combatant, even as he pursues romance that he may or may not get.

His ancestor was a great hunter, who killed numerous trolls who spited the Empress but spared mercy on a young mutant. It was implied that he cared for her more than himself, and had known of her intent to confront the Empress. Rather than stop her, he merely warned her, and she had accepted her fate. Before the mutant spoke with the Empress, he told the Empress of these things, and the Empress promised she would make the mutant's death a swift and private affair.
She kept her promise, and he was free to continue hunting as he pleased. However, there were rumors that he took other mutants under his wing...

Blue - Sollux - Rogue of Rage (Mituna: Mage of Rage)

Sollux is a great programmer, so his hive is full of technological wonders designed to make his life easier; his Biclops lusus was killed a sweep or two ago, and it's only thanks to Aradia that he hasn't buried himself entirely in his work. He's still got the worst puns and attitude, however.
As part of the Ares/Athena group, he has Ares' insensitivity and recklessness, paired with Athena's intelligence and ruthlessness. He mostly directs these traits at his computer work, pursuing the ends with gusto.

His ancestor was a clever but jealous "suitor" of the Empress, who grew to hate the psionic she fell flushed for. He made constant attempts on the psionic's life, before the Empress grew bored of the suitor and had the psionic cull him.

Indigo - Eridan - Bard of Doom (Cronus: Prince of Doom)

Eridan is a very formal individual, being an adviser-in-training for the Empress, whoever wins the battle. He not-so-secretly hopes that Kanaya will win, as he's very close to her.
As part of the Aphrodite/Hephaestus group, he leans more towards the loyalty of Hephaestus with the risk-taking nature of Aphrodite. He'd eventually alchemize a broom and do sweet maneuvers as he fights cyclopes.

His ancestor was a swift swordsman who wielded an unbreakable rapier, and was said to be trained in the finest of magics from demons. He also had a strange interest in necromancy, gathering the bodies of beautiful trolls the Empress had culled for some odd reason, eventually pursuing beautiful trolls the Empress /hadn't/ culled.
He still lives in hiding, and young trolls say that he only accepts the most beautiful into his abode.

Purple - Terezi - Heir of Life (Latula: Page of Life)

Terezi is a fierce martial artist who uses her Vriska-induced blindness to her best advantage. She hunts for lusii on land and sea, only using her dragon canespear when she finds something she cannot kill with her great skills.
As a member of the Poseidon/Hades group, her JUST1C3 is intensified, even somewhat twisted; she sides with the Empress' decisions on a great many issues, claiming that the ruler is the ultimate judge.

Her ancestor was a fierce judge and martial artist, although her verdicts were always influenced by the Empress' decisions. The judge put a great many trolls to death, and would often confer with the azure hunter to bring targets to her court. She knew little about the mutant save that the hunter adopted it because the mutant's lusii was culled...so he said, anyway.

Tyrian - Kanaya - Witch of Void (Porrim: Thief of Void)
Land of Feathers and Wrath
No quadrant leanings, but always tries to butt in to auspistice black relations. Cue groans.
Patron of the Harley kid.
Kanaya, as heiress, dresses in ONLY the fanciest regalia, and is very jealous towards others--for some reason, however, she isn't romantically inclined as of yet. The most she tries to do is initiate ashen romances, but due to the mess of everyone's quadrant situations, it falls apart quickly.
As the last member of the Zeus/Hera group, Kanaya falls firmly into Hera the Separated as well as Zeus' wrathful side. When angered, she is especially fierce, and would not hesitate to exercise her blood's influence on others.

Her ancestor is the Empress, a mysterious troll who remained unseen most of the time save for a few select individuals. She was especially envious of those who claimed to be more beautiful than she, having them culled.
She held flushed feelings for a lowly psionic, pampering him as well as allowing him to train and use his potential to the fullest.
Her azure hunter was a close friend to her, and for him she spoke no word of the culling of his beloved mutant, even despite the mutant's harsh words against the Empress.
For the teal 8aroness, the Empress saw how she cared for her matesprit, her champion, and ushered her into the Empress' council of advisors.
She valued relationships, but valued herself even more, keeping her feelings for others buried under a facade of cold and fierce anger and jealousy. That's what made trolls obey her, anyway.
