- You are Ada, a wizard living in the kingdom of Larion. You have a staff and a
- spellbook. You finish your long journey and finally arrive at the ruin you've
- been looking for. You look around and see that it's not much different than
- when you left it years ago.
- The place is dark and quiet
- > Look around
- You walk around the ruins and see nothing out of the ordinary. The place looks
- like any other abandoned building or ruin. Nothing special about it really.
- > Cast light spell
- You cast a light spell on the area. It illuminates the area and makes everything
- visible again. Everything seems to be back to normal now.
- It's a good thing you didn't take anything with you because if you had, you might
- have lost something important
- > Enter ruins
- You enter the ruins and find that they are not as empty as you thought. There
- is some sort of structure inside them. A large door is there blocking your way.
- The door is made of wood and has a strange symbol carved into it. It looks very
- old and worn
- > Examine symbol
- You examine the symbol and notice that it says "DRAGON" in runes. You can't imagine
- what kind of creature this could be. Maybe it was a dragon? No, that doesn't
- make sense. Dragons don't live here. They died long ago
- > Open door
- You open the door and find yourself in a room with several doors leading off
- from each other. Each one leads to another room. There are also many shelves
- filled with books. Some of them are old and dusty while others are brand new.
- Most of them are on magic related subjects
- > Read books
- You pick up a book and begin reading it. It's a very boring task but you manage
- to do it. After finishing reading the book, you realize that you still haven't
- found anything useful so you decide to leave the library. You head towards the
- exit of the library
- > Enter a room
- You enter a room and find yourself in a small bedroom. There is a bed and a dresser
- against the wall. On top of the dresser is a lamp which provides light for the
- room. There is no door in sight
- > Go back
- You return to the room and find that the lamp is broken. You try to fix it but
- it won't work. You then turn on the bed and find that it is covered in dust.
- You think that you may have stepped on something when you got here
- > Enter another room
- You enter another room and find that it is even more dark than before. This room
- is much bigger than the first one. There is a table in the middle of the room
- and on it sits a man dressed in black robes. He holds a staff in his hands
- > "Greetings"
- and he nods at you. You then ask him "What are you doing?" He replies "I am
- waiting for someone". You then ask him who he is waiting for and he tells you
- "A friend". You then tell him where you want to meet him and he agrees to meet
- you
- > Meet man
- You tell the man where you want to meet him and he agrees to meet you. You follow
- him through a corridor and eventually reach a large chamber. In the center of
- the chamber stands a tall figure. He wears a black robe and carries a staff
- in his hand
- > "Greetings"
- and he nods at you. You then ask him "Who are you?" He replies "I am Dendrin".
- You then ask him "Why are you waiting for me?" He replies
- > Listen
- He tells you that he wants to show you something and asks you to wait. When he
- finishes talking, he disappears and reappears behind you. Then suddenly he appears
- right next to you. He speaks to you in an odd language and you cannot understand
- him
- > Listen further
- He explains that he is trying to teach you something. He tells you that he needs
- your help in order to learn how to use the power of the shadows. He also tells
- you that he will only give you the knowledge if you help him. If you refuse,
- he will kill you
- > Cast protection spell on self
- You cast a protective barrier over yourself. It protects you from all harm.
- > "I refuse"
- and he disappears from view
- > Search for Dendrin
- You continue searching for Dendrin. Eventually you come across a cave. Inside
- the cave is a huge stone statue of a snake-like creature. You recognize it as
- Dendrin. He beckons you to come closer to him and touches your face
- > "Why did you threaten to kill me?"
- He replies "Because I know you're the chosen one of Dendrin". You reply "How
- do you know this?" He replies "Because I've seen your shadow powers and they
- are far greater than mine!" You reply
- > "I do not practice shadow magic"
- He replies "Then why would you be willing to help me?" You reply "Because I'm
- tired of being alone". He smiles and says "Good, because I'll be taking care
- of you". You nod and agree to help him. He takes you to a room and shows you
- a book
- > Examine book
- It's a book on the nature of the shadows. It explains how they came to be and
- how they were created. It goes on to explain that they are beings that have
- existed since the beginning of time. They have been able to travel between dimensions
- and exist in different planes of existence
- > Read book
- You read the book and it explains that Dendrin is the keeper of the shadows.
- He is the creator of the shadows and the shadows. He is the god of the shadows.
- He has created them to serve him and protect him
- > "What do you need me to do?"
- He replies "I need you to keep watch my back". You look around the room and
- see several guards patrolling the place. You realize that you are trapped. You
- then you are going to tell him that you will help him. He laughs and you will
- help you
- > Teleport Dendrin and yourself to the plane of shadows
- You teleport yourself and Dendrin appear in a room full of shadows. The room
- is dark and filled with shadows. You and Dendrin are surrounded by shadows.
- You and Dendrin are both. You and Dendrin are surrounded by shadows
- > Cast powerful light spell
- You cast a powerful light spell and send the shadows away. You and Dendrin disappear
- into thin air. You and Dendrin vanish into air. You and Dendrin disappear into
- air. You and Dendrin disappear into air. You and Dendrin disappear into air
- > Cast a spell that rematerializes you
- You cast a spell that rematerializes you and Dendrin. You and Dendrin materialize
- into a solid matter. You and Den
- > Cast a spell that banishes Dendrin into the realm of shadows
- You cast a spell that banishes Dendrin out Dendrin into the realm of shadows.
- You and Dendrin materialize into a solid. You and Dendrin materialize into a
- solid. You and Dendon:The two materia
- > "What's happening?"
