Background: ever since mari was young, she didn't get to see her parents much. since her father was a successful company's CEO, he and mari's mother were nearly always away on business trips, whether it was on the other side of seoul or the other side of the world, and whenever they weren't away, they were too busy to spend quality time with mari or her brother. at the rare times they did have time, the most they could do was take the pair out for a meal or watch a movie together. because of this, mari and minhyuk grew up under the care of an ever-changing nanny and their housekeeper, who acted as their 'motherly' figure, and they became very close with each other, in fact, even now, (as much as they ''hate'' each other) they do everything together.
