- Rhys Nix gave a small nod as he carefully listened on, it was his own fault that he didn't exactly pay too much attention, but that was on him, and now he's dealing with it now. He raised his wooden axe upward as he studied the motion he needed to do as he walked towards the wooden post.
- Strike theory, right? Raising his weapon up he slashed downwards trying to mimic the arc, he released as small breath after he carefully re positioned his footing before slashing downwards once he corrected his center of gravity. "Yes, ser." Since he was careful he was able to strike the wooden post, once, before raising his axe up again.
- Rhys Nix winced from the recoil, but he lifted his weapon up again, his brow furrowed as he swung down once again. Another solid strike against the post. He gathered his mana into his strikes, or at leas the attempted to. Like instructed he was attempting to flow mana throughout his body mirroring the swings again.
- Repeatedly he struck at the post while recalling why he was so hellbent on going down this path, well for starters his twin brother, Ren was an adventurer, so he didn't want to intertwine his own path with his kin, they would always be together, but there was a moment in childhood that made him want to etch towards that path in life.
- Rhys Nix adjusted his hold again as he went back to striking his weapon down. All while still trying to focus his mana throughout his body, mainly through his strikes whenever he swung the axe down. Sweat started to pour down his face as he carefully struck down the post. As he did so he attempted to at the very least to control the strength of his strikes while he would carefully pace himself before readjusting his axe again. He only really stopped to wipe the sweat from his brow only to lift the weapon back up to make the attack again.
- He released a shagged breath before he stepped forward, then back again to make another strike at the wooden post, this one was a bit off centered because he didn't correct himself thoroughly, but he was back at it again as he made another strike towards the post, hitting it successfully.
- He could feel his hands shaking a bit after that blow, but he remained steadfast as he raised his weapon again. Mana still flowing through his visage as he was directed before he swung the weapon down again.
- Rhys Nix lost count of the many times he was suppose to strike the wooden post, but the motion was still there. As he funneled his mana throughout his body before striking at the post again. His hands were getting numb, it was getting a lot harder for him to properly grip the pole of his axe, and maybe his blisters had already burst, but he was determined to continue down this path no matter the hardships. "I am...not done yet." He stated lifting his axe up to swing it back down against the wooden post to try and produce the same sound he's been making for what possibly felt like hours now.
- He paused waiting for a moment before he slowly picked his axe back up, drinking from a water skin whenever he had the chance before focusing his mana throughout his body, with some added assistance from Edrick's mana. His arms felt heavy, but he just continued to push himself, if this was his limits then he needed to somehow go beyond them now, before he could, or rather could rest himself.
- Rhys Nix was nearly there, he could feel it, or maybe that was what he was telling himself after he readjusted his weight forward to strike at the wooden post again. Like he stated to himself and his actions he wanted to become a squire to eventually become a knight, so something like this shouldn't shake him. In fact i needed to harden his resolve via mana. "I...think I'm there, maybe." He grunted lifting his weapon up again to strike at the wooden post, a bit weaker sounding than the last strikes he put out, but that's due to his reserves being nearly spent. Maybe that was a good thing? Maybe not he did not know as he lifted his weapon up again striking at the wooden post.
- The sweat made his hair stick to his face as he attempted to lift his weapon up again. Resting it on his shoulders as he could feel the screaming pain his muscles were in, but he had to keep going, at least to give the wooden post one more hit. Slowly, Rhys lifted the axe again, fighting through the screaming pains before swinging downwards letting the axe's head do most of the work as it was more forward ith its weight before chipping a piece of the wood off to the side.
- He stumbled a bit, maybe he was far too tired, but if that's the price he needed to pay, it wasn't a bad one then.
