"New San Diego" and "Lone Star" fight for control of the world's few remaining resources following the collapse of the US government. New San Diego is a technological utopia that lives in peace, while Lone Star is oil hungry and war driven. Follow Drake McCoy and his band of high tech soldiers as they defend themselves from total annihilation.
A post-apocalyptic civil war breaks out between two cities following the collapse of the government.
The plot: In post-apocalyptic Texas, a rugged loner from a techno-atheist society discovers that the religious fundamentalists from a nearby city are planning an attack.<br/><br/>If all you want is post-apocalyptic cowboys, then you might enjoy this. For everyone else, I think it will be kind of underwhelming. It&#39;s a complete rehash of every post-apocalyptic film or video game that you&#39;ve ever seen. The art is pretty nice, but the voice work, dialogue, and story are all terrible. Just about everything is stereotypical, overdone, or both. For example, the lead voice actor speaks in a ridiculously over-the-top Clint Eastwood-style growl. I guess if you&#39;re a teenager, you might find the themes pretty deep, but it&#39;s unlikely anyone else will. Given the rating, I think this was probably aimed at kids. So, I guess maybe check it out if you want a story about post-apocalyptic, atheist cowboys who never curse. Otherwise, skip it. Just watch Mad Max again instead.
To be honest i&#39;m not really a big fan of motion comics several over the years have just put me to sleep. But Marksmen sets the ground for what hopefully will be a full on battle and campaign for the reunification of a post apocalyptic world. in this new world a &quot;marksman&quot; called by call sign Drake sets the stage as the leader of the a squad that is reminiscent of the 80s TV series &quot;Space Rangers&quot; but with a definite nod to classic westerns with characters named after actors and roles from that by gone era. The voice acting was spot on with minor exceptions and the minor animated touches to the otherwise static scenes were handled smoothly. I could wholeheartedly recommend this to any fan of mad max or the video game Fallout New Vegas wont be a waste of time as long as you bring your cowboy hat and your laser pistol ;-)
