⇒ PERSONALITY ; Somin is relatively boring. She tends to stick to schedule and puts everyone in their place when they go off task. She's very focused and hardly ever loses her train of thought. She keeps to herself unless the situation calls for otherwise. She's a natural-born leader and gets quite upset when she doesn't get to display it. She's very down to earth and doesn't tolerate over the top nonsense. She's quick on her feet and uses more common sense and logic in her day to day choices than normal people. With that, comes her constant over-analyzation. She tries to make the best possible decisions and when she gets stuck, her mind isn't able to focus on anything other than that topic. Unless she deems a situation serious, she is pretty patient. There's a slight motherly aspect to her in which she wants to pick everyone up and help them with everything, but her desire for logic sometimes overrides it. When she feels really motherly, it's as if she did a complete 180 degree turn. She becomes sweet and touchy feely and often doesn't pay attention to anything other than the being in her care. While she isn't like this all the time, she's constantly looking out for everyone behind the scenes. She doesn't let herself eat screwed over easily. She fights for what she wants if it's within her reach. She doesn't give up. She's quite ridiculously stubborn.

⇒ BACKSTORY ; Her father moved from Vietnam to Korea as a teenager and met her mother. They got married young and their first child died a few hours after being delivered. When Somin was born, they were determined to keep her safe. Especially because she was a small and sickly child. She was premature by nearly a month and a half. She always admired her father's work as a police officer and wanted to do what he did. He stopped her from any sort of martial arts and physical activities in fear of her getting hurt. She begged for years and finally began to train at age 12. She moved up the ranks quickly since her deal with her father included intense work outside of the classes. She started going to college for Criminal Justice and minors in Forensic Sciences. Her father said he wouldn't let her start the real work until she found a way to prove herself. So when the Timid Thief incidents took place, she jumped at the opportunity to finally get what she had been trying to accomplish since she was small.
