BACKGROUND: she grew up in the city, never went anywhere else. soori was born and raised in seoul, by her parents. she grew up very quickly, but the childish side of her never left. soori worked hard, helping her parents when they got home and getting a job to earn extra pocket money. during a family dinner, her parents and their siblings started having an argument. to distract them, soori began to sing, the room became silent as everyone listened to her voice and relaxed. she loved to sing, especially to her younger sister. she was always complimented on how beautiful her voice was. she was happy knowing that through her voice people would be happy and calmdown. she then enrolled into a school for the arts. she not only found her talent for singing but rapping. she found she was very good at producing songs. Her classmates told her she was good enough to sing professionally, so she decided to do so. She begged her father and mother to let her audition for YG entertainment, telling them that she wanted to give hope to people through her voice, her parents allowed her to do so, she was accepted and began training just before her 15th birthday.
