  1. So I was playing some game (but I was also actually in the game, pretty standard fare for my dreams). It seemed to have elements from multiple different games, but main gameplay was kinda open-world like BotW. It was mainly set in this complex owned by a tech company with multiple futuristic research lab buildings, but clearly my brain modelled them after airport terminals. (It was cooler than I’m making it sound.)

  3. Other gameplay mechanics: my brain definitely took inspiration from gacha games (maybe Genshin even though I've never played it?) because there were multiple unlockable hero characters, but the method by which you swapped between them was similar to the capture system from SMO. The character I played the majority of the time was very clearly based off of Mythra/Pyra from XC2 though since it was a swap character, one character being super fast and the other being fire-based.

  5. Now the best part about this dream was that it was a rare one where I could fly around freely. If people didn’t know I actually daydream about this somewhat often lol, would definitely pick it if I could have a superpower :L In any case though, since I was basically playing Mythra I had a really fast flight speed and it was super lit just zooming around the lab complex.

  7. The plot was unironically pretty great too, it was basically lifted out of Terminator Salvation. If you guys don’t know about that movie, it tells about how a global computer mainframe program called Skynet becomes sentient and then wipes out most of humanity in a nuclear holocaust. Skynet is developed by a company called Cyberdyne Systems, and in this dream I think I was an intern for them lol. I’m special though because via the aforementioned SMO capture system I have the ability to swap to any playable character, some of which are fellow employees, some of which are friendly AIs (see: Mythra).

  9. To be honest I’m not sure what my actual job assignment was supposed to be, but I spent the whole time zooming around trying to unlock and upgrade my characters. In order to do this I had to interact with them and upload some kind of files relating to them into the company servers. Eventually as I progressed more the mainframe (Skynet) started locking me out of being able to do this, as well as shooting missiles at me as I flew around the complex. For some reason people didn’t seem too concerned about the latter, even though they were starting to get worried about why the system was locking them out of being able to work on it. They still assumed they could use some code to deactivate it if something really went wrong (I’m gonna say that probably wouldn’t have worked).

  11. Somehow I could look ahead in the plot, and I didn’t get to this point, but there was a later part pretty much copied from Terminator 2. I would have had to leave the company for a while because Skynet was really out to get me, and I hid in the desert with some friends (all my unlocked characters probably). At some point after that I was to return to the complex and that was probably when we would fight and destroy Skynet.

  13. There was also a side plot where there was a bunch of sentient rejected robots from Cyberdyne who wanted revenge. They were piloting a giant, broken-down mech that looked like Petey Piranha, which kept malfunctioning and eventually it destroyed itself lol

  15. i wanna actually play this game now bruh
