- [Ryo 24 Tech (RP Spent): The housing for the orb is quite simple, from what you can see in this pitched combat. A sliding panel blocks it when not in use, but the Knight is still clearly benefitting from it even so. It's possible that it doesn't need to open the panel normally.
- The radiation damage is forcing different actions. Damage to the housing could cause a malfunction the next time the panel is forced to open. Perhaps catastrophically.
- Something to consider.
- The dossiers mentioned the Knights being protectors AND protected. Perhaps it has access to areas you don't... and if the device could be countered somehow its likely the powerful construct would destroy itself. ]
- [MIPPS 24 Tech: Easily removable is quite a task, but you do manage to narrow it down to a few areas. It's cape, blade (if it can be distracted sufficiently), and horns. Though the benefits of these actions are dubious at best.
- The orb could perhaps be removed if the knight was inactive. As is, with it moving and actively resisting, it would be all but impossible.]
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [Vera 22 Occult: The Knight as a concept is a symbol of war, honour, nobility, and protection in many cultures. What it means for the ones who created it is a mystery, however it is clear that they took occult significance into play.
- Upon a closer look, every feature of the construct makes use of this. Designs engraved on its chassis resemble patterns you've seen in your research on [Pokemon Types] without quite matching any. Almost an unfinished piece, but bearing hallmarks of something that could become any type. For now however it is quite [Typeless], something that should be showing in the way it wages war.
- The blade it bears seems mundane, though finely made. The cape however, definately exists to help it channel typed energies, perhaps with effort one could [repurpose this feature]. Something is wrong with the machine...something is missing or damaged. ]
- [2:47 PM]
- The construct stands in place, tilting its head this way and that in a clear bid to make sense of the world without sight. Vrrt. The panel in its chest opens, and a low hum begins as the orb in its chest grows brighter. It's preparing something.
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Vera 18 Occult: The runes on the Knight Chassis are much as you surmised. Shallow engravings in the thin material that serves to channel the energy for moves. Early forms of Alchemy used almost identical runes to grant humans the power to fight pokemon and you have encountered several of them in your research of the past.
- The symbols on the Knight are especially extensive however. What took up perhaps a dozen centimetres of space on any other object cover the knight from head to toe, blending in such a way that from afar it would simply look like a fancy design to an untrained eye.
- There is something strange however, none of the designs on the Knight seem complete. Each rune set is missing the partner rune that would funnel it into a [Type]'d attack. If activated like this, if they even work, the resulting effect would be...[Typeless].]
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [MIPPS 31 Tech: The construct is quite unlike your own roboto. While both are humanoid and share a similar range of motion (if not capabilities), the design principles governing both machines are completely alien to one another.
- While your machines are more modular, bearing the ability to be upgraded and retooled over time with the only concern being the difficulty of control, the Knight is seems to be an amalgamation of functions and abilities that remain dormant unless powered.
- The construct has three major portions; The Chassis, made of a thin material that resembles Jadesteel. It bears runes of occult origin and serves to channel and defend the more fragile portions.
- The Systems, a braided crystalline rope that runs through the machine like a nervous and muscle system in one. It carries the bulk of the functions available and connects to the core housing where it likely draws power.
- Finally the control center, which is actually just a solid hunk of jadesteel that resembles a human brain. More mundane looking circuitry runs across (and a check reveals, within) the entire structure. This device could perhaps be repurposed without much difficulty. ]

- The orb is giving off several exotic waves, among them trace modulations registering as fire/ice/psychic/dark/grass/water/ground/rock/ghost/flying/fighting/bug/normal/fairy/electric/steel/poison/dragon typed energy. An examination over an extended period does in fact indicate that the emanations may be designed rather than random, but without something to read it with the contents (and validity of the hypothesis) cannot be fully verified.
- [11:14 AM]
- The housing is essentially a clever brace made to connect to the braided lines of the [Knight Systems]. A quick test with your intermediary device reveals that data passed through it does emerge sensibly if read close to the housing itself, however as it runs through the systems at large it usually becomes transformed beyond recognition. Still, data in some form is carried by the Systems.
- [MIPPS 14 and 27 Occ/Tech: Creating a device to read the signals is simple, you've already done the bulk of the work while examining the Knight after all. However figuring out anything useful proves to be quite a challenge as the signals follow no rhyme or reason you can determine.
- Even more concerning is the sudden increase in psychic pings to nearby cyberworlds as you continue your examination. Never more than a small probe, but also not coming from standardized locations.
- The Ship Body Ai makes a small beep of alarm when the pings begin bouncing off its own cyberspace]
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [MIPPS 29 Tech][Vera 19 Occult] Your collaboration reveals that the Knight components channel a great deal of raw [Type] energy in operation, far above the amounts found in an average [Type Gem].
- You lack the [Gem Lore] to be certain, but research with the Omnidex does help you to discover some complementary interactions with the [Knight Core] in your possession. The item produces trace amounts of all Type energy in its passive state, and can presumably be more actively tapped somehow.
- You were unable to come up with all the answers the core holds in this session, but you did determine that a collection of type gems or rainbow gems should be able to act as a substitute for it for short periods. At least, where power for the Knight Components is concerned.
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [MIPPS 25 Tech, 18 Focus: Your proddings are enlightening, and before you are summarily ejected from the space you learn a few things.
- The space is almost identical to your perceptions as the space in the Knight Cortex, just... smaller?
- There is an electric as well as psychic component to the space, as well as many small interfering signals it is impossible to identify from within 'cyberspace'
- The ship representation is not an AI, at least not in the way AIs are normally defined. You are interacting with the mental component of a physical existence, only sped up to ludicrous speeds and warped in a way a human psychic could never manage. ]

- [Roboto 29 Tech: It is difficult to truly study this construct while it is active, however your trained eye and your prior experience with the chassis (though a much more damaged version) helps you immensely.
- The core is held in place by a combination of physical construction and the sheer energy coursing though it. By either [disabling] some of the Knight's abilities, [Exhausting] the construct's energy stores, or simply [damaging] the housing sufficiently you may be able to dislodge it.
- You have a feeling that some more [Targeted techniques] could remove the thing with ease but [Possession: Failure] you do not have access to these wonderous abilities.]
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [MIPPS 19, 19 : The technology on display is not one you completely understand, but it is one you are growing a bit familiar with. The strands connect to the pedestal in a manner much like the Knight Systems you have examined save that there is no connection to either chassis or cortex. Instead the braided lines connect to a flat stone plate just under the pedestal recess.
- The white strands carry power from beneath the floor, presumably connecting to the <Power> area in some way to the stone plate, a stream of power omidex helpfully informs you is pure typed energy. A mixure of all identified types flows through the strands, somehow contained by the material.
- Some of the strands were cut by the powerful blow, and though you can tell the amount of energy it transmits has not diminished much, it seems that the device has stopped accepting the energy.]
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [MIPPS Tech: Pass due to prior study
- The Knight you recovered immidiately showcases how extensively damaged the first sample you acquired actually was. The chassis on the newly acquired Knight is notably thicker, and possesses defined [Sigils] all across its surface as well as attachment points that were completely eroded on the prior Knight sample. The Systems and Cortex as well are in far better condition, though not undamaged due to your recent combat.
- Altogether this construct seems like it could handle far more energy than the Knight you encountered in Shuiguo's settlement and due to the thicker material and possesses several more exotic features.
- [Warper: Pass][Glitch Bender: Pass][???: Fail]
- The first and most notable feature is the fact that the material used to make the Knight is not all here. Some parts of the chassis are simply phased out of existence and layered in the same place (locked by some interaction with the [Sigils])(Occult required)(??? required) with evidence that even more material could be added by extra functions if required. This would give the Knights excellent defenses against intangible or phased opponents and make it more stable and more difficult to damage at will by selectively phasing parts of itself in and out, even creating new alloys at the drop of a hat. Your scans give you an estimated 'real' thickness, durability, and importantly, weight, rivalling your own ship.
- If employed elsewhere, this practice could do much to explain the durability of Remnant construction.
- The remainder of the construct is less enlightening perhaps due to the danger of analysis. The braided crystals that substitute as both nervous systems and musculature for the Knight carries Typed energy in a specific form, a form that is similar to but not the same as the analysed pedestal, and varies it as required for different functions to work.
- [4:48 PM]
- The Cortex is the only element that requires a portion of all the streams at once, notable at the same frequency (a frequency which the prior sample failed to properly maintain). Powering it fully should allow access to its proper functions, though it presents the danger of the construct returning to hostile activity if fully assembled. ]
