  1. The Vuleris are fox-like desert nomads, known for exploring the sands and occasionally the world. Each clan split off due to a heavy disagreement on how they should lead, resulting in the Silkpaw, peaceful traders who gain their wealth through trade. Ironpaw, hardy mercenaries who gain their wealth through gladiator fights and mercenary work. And the Quickpaw, agile thieves who gain their wealth through holding carnivals as a front for mass theft of whole cities at a time.
  2.
  3. Due to this disagreement, the three clans meticulously plan their migration to avoid each other.
  4.
  5. There are no other large caravans aside from the main three, but each one is the size of a small city. There may be smaller groupings of Vuleris, maybe some individuals, but never caravans.
  6.
  7.
  8. The Silkpaw are distinctive due to their soft golden yellow, white or beige fur to compliment their charismatic and seemingly gentle nature, and they may regularly dye the fur to display wealth, or to express themselves.
  9.
  10. The Ironpaw wear their bright orange or red fur with pride, a warning to predators and prey, they are not to be taken lightly. To the same effect, they use dye as war paint, intimidating enemies.
  11.
  12. The Quickpaw make use of their dark grey, brown or black fur, helping them blend in with the shadows as they make use of the dye to change their fur patterns and markings, allowing them to essentially change their face, should they desire to.
  13.
  14.
  15. You may think that each clan has a clear benefit or drawback to being in cities, but each is both welcomed and unwelcomed alike.
  16.
  17. Silkpaw merchants are adored by the general public and nobility as they bring in exotic products, but their aggressively low prices risk putting local merchants and stores out of business for the three years they stay at each location.
  18.
  19. The Ironpaw provide valuable mercenary services, helping heavily bolster a city's defense, providing entertaining gladiatorial events, and giving the local taverns plenty of new patrons. However, their rowdy nature may cause some unrest amongst the general public, keeping citizens up at night.
  20.
  21. The Quickpaw are the most controversial of the lot. Their thieving nature leads them to be hated by nobility and guardsmen, but the common folk adores their carnivals and circus acts, along with the criminals, finding great opportunity to ally themselves with the powerful clan.
  22.
  23.
  24. As for character traits, they vary heavily between each individual, but the clans have a tendency towards specific traits.
  25.
  26. Silkpaw tend to be very welcoming to new people and cultures, they're rarely hostile and often live peaceful, calm lives. However, they can come across as snooty or privileged sometimes if they were part of the upper hierarchy of the caravan.
  27.
  28. Ironpaw are hardy, resilient and boisterous. They often love a good drink but tend to err quickly toward violence as a solution. This results in lots of tavern brawls full of capable fighters.
  29.
  30. Finally, the Quickpaw. They mostly end up being greedy, but their caravan is more of a mafia. Their crime may be plentiful and seemingly chaotic, but it's very organized and carefully planned. They tend to spend a lot of time, however, practicing their respective carnival acts.
