3. General Knowledge:
4.
5. 1. Write a definition of what a Changeling is according to you.
6. Changelings to me are a combination between a mage and a demon, their systems are very similar to the Spheres of the mage while their lore has a somewhat similar concept to the fallen. Changelings are faeries, however, they are the ones who did not manage to get on the last remaining portal to Arcadia. They had to wait as the ruling fae were taking care of their own asses first, forcing the rest out of their way. These Changelings who were left behind in the Autumn world had no other option, but to use powerful magics in order to reincarnate into human beings, this process is also known as "The Changeling Way". Changelings are born as mere humans, however, their faerie soul would awake at some point in their lives. Allowing them both using their Arts and blending in the Autumn world.
7.
8. 2. Are Changeling humans or supernaturals?
9. Changelings are nothing but humans before they face their Chrysalis. The Chrysalis would start with small hallucinations that would question one's sanity. For example, they might hear their shoes fighting with one another, or see a dog standing idle in the middle of a busy highway (Malkavian shit right there). This process would most likely happen in the Changeling's childhood (but not necessarily). Once the fae's souls is ready to awake the Changeling goes under the Dream Dance, a burst of Glamour that would beckon of the arrival of a new fae! Huge amount of information would violently surround the fledgling into an overwhelming experience, memories of their true nature, past lives, Arcadia and more would bombard the new fae all at once. This process would attract the attention of other faeries from miles away as the vibrations of Glamour would burst out the fledgling.
10.
11. 3. In terms of game system, what is specific about the Changeling race?
12. Vampires has Disciplines, Werewolves has Gifts, Demons has Lores, but Changelings got more than that. They have both Realms and Arts, you can not use one without having the other. Primal alone is useless if you have no Realm to channel it to, just like a match without a matchbox. Glamour would be the fuel of those magical arts, Realms would be the "nozzle" you channel your arts to, and Arts would be the kind of the art, "the brand of the fuel".
13.
14. For example if you have Primal and you want to conjure fire, you might need to ask yourself on what the fire would be conjured and when?
15. In order to make a knife put people on fire as they get stabbed - you'll need to use the next Realms:
16. • Actor: In order to channel the flames at the stabbed individual.
17. • Prop: In order to make the knife itself be the source of the conflagration.
18. • Time: In order to make the flames appear only when an individual is stabbed.
19. And Primal Art, since this is the Art that would allow you conjuring elements after all.
20.
21. 4. Tell us something about your character's Kith.
22. Trolls are the warriors of the fae, the loyal guardians who serve and protect with unquestionable loyalty. This kind of mindset would sometimes make others take them as stupid naive giants who put too much trust into others, but that is not necessarily accurate. In terms of physical appearance, they're obviously large, they have a pair of horns on their head, and their skin color might change (depending on their court). Trolls tend to work in places where they could benefit from their hard work and prove their loyalty. The Seelie Trolls might serve in places like the police, the emergency services, or even having a sports career. The Unseelie ones would tend to be the same, but to the exact opposite side; Working for the mafia, being a corrupt officer, and so on.
23.
24. 5. What is antithesis, banality, and nightmare?
25. Each changeling has their own Antithesis, it's an action that the changeling view to be the epitome of banality itself. Changelings tend to see their antithesis to be so bad that it literally feels like snorting a row of Banality, straight into the lungs.
26. For example, one would not be able to stand being socially dominated, while another could not stand relying on technology.
27.
28. Banality is the disgusting boring part of the Autumn world, lack of creativity and belief. Many grownups tend to fall to this cage of Banality and it worsens as they grow further. The world is ever increasing with Banality as people no longer believe in the possibilities of miracles, they rely on mathematics and science to prove their ideologies and stay blind to the Dreaming.
29. Unfortunately, the world today is full of horrifying Banality that is crushing world of the fae. (In other words, Anality).
30.
31. A dreamy world where everything is possible could seem very nice from the first glance, but do not mistake. It's also a place to find yourself easily losing your balance, eventually losing yourself to the Bedlam. Whenever the character's nightmare reaches 10, the player ticks an imbalanced wp dot and removes all of the Nightmare from their pool. If all of the Changeling's willpower dots are imbalanced, the character is lost into the bedlam. In our game terms ck'ed.

36.
37. 1. What is the Changeling Way?
38. The Changeling Way is a powerful magic that was intended to incarnate a fae into a human being. This process is necessary for the faes who got stuck outside of Arcadia in order to survive the Autumn ever-increasing in banality world. After the Changeling is born, they spend their first years (and sometimes decades) as mere humans until one day their fae soul would awake. This process is also known as Chrysalis.
39.
40. 2. What are the definitions for the Autumn World, Arcadia, and The Dreaming?
41. The Autumn world is the boring world as we know it. There are no miracles in that place but in the imagination of children, which is taken as a silly thing "that would pass when they grow up". These ways of thinking are causing the Autumn world to increase in banality from day to day, distancing the worlds from one another. The Dreaming, on the other hand, is the world where everything exists and possible (yes, even if it doesn't make mathematical sense). Deep inside of it lays Arcadia, a home for the faeries, none of the Changeling knows how it is or how its like as they can not really access it, and can not remember how it was like. The doors are sealed centuries now, and there's no way to go there. Thus, these faes who got stuck outside reincarnated themselves into humans through powerful magics called "The Changeling Way" in order to survive the banal world.
42.
43. 3. What is the Chrysalis?
44. Chrysalis is the moment in a Changeling's life when their fae soul awakens, it would start with subtle signs just as I mentioned earlier, leading to the Dream Dance. The Dream Dance is a moment of Glamour burst, it would bombard the fae with all kinds of visions and memories from the past. The "Dance" is extremely noticeable by other fae as the fledgling would stand like a beacon of Glamour, however, it could also attract foes that would try to harm the confused fledgling. Other Kithain who discovered the fledgling would usually bring the new fae to the nearest large fae gathering/freehold, in order to introduce them to the basics. There, older faes may offer to foster (mentor, teach, and take care of) them. An Oath of Fosterage would have to be made in order to officially link the two together. The fosterage would usually take 1 year and a day, which would be seperated into two different stages; The Time of Warding, and The Time of Watching. The Warding would stand for the period of teaching, introducing them to their role in the fae society, their kith, and even the Dreaming itself. The Watching Time would be the testing time, seeing what the fledgling has learned. Finally, after 1 year and a day, the fledgling undergoes a ritual named The Saining in order to get initiated into the Kithain society.
45.
46. 4. What are the Mists?
47. Once upon a time the fae have created a barrier that would protect them and their world from the greedy humanity. However, as banality started to increase in the Autumn world the barrier has merged with it, using as a barrier between the faes to the Dreaming itself. Therefore, the faes became limited, unable to remember their past lives in Arcadia nor their full powers. On top of that, it also limits them from passively collecting Glamour from the world around them *cough* Omni *cough*, leading to horrifying consequences such as The Forgetting.
48.
49. 5. Define the Sundering and the Shattering.
50. Sundering is the era after the fall of the Fomorians, the Kithains has left humanity alone, trusting they would keep believing in them. But apparently they did not, there was no one to remind them that faes actually do exist. Therefore, their belief started to dull and the Banality of the Autumn world became a real threat to the Dreaming, the worlds started to separate -> Leading us to the Shattering, a conclusion of the consequences the Sundering led to. Banality increased in the Autumn world from day to day, distancing the Dreaming further and further. The Banality is pretty much the core anti-magic, it's killing the very essence of the Dreaming. Today, unfortunately, there are not many Dreamers, and those who are tend to be "disconnected weirdos". The dreaming slowly started to disappear, from the doors to Arcadia to the very existence of the fae themselves.

63. Character Story:
64. 1st March, 1975.
65. Hans was born at 10:01 in Bispebjerg hospital in Copenhagen, a little Scandinavian baby with blonde hair and green eyes. He was raised in a small village in the countryside due to his father's obstinacy to continue the legacy of his ancestors. When he grew up, he was sent to the local school in the city nearby. The physical talents of Hans were incredibly noticeable since a very young age, he was rocking the sport class time after time, leading him to become the captain of the team. However, unfortunately, he was not the best when it came down to the other classes. The teachers said he was "too busy dreaming, staring blankly, and playing with imaginary friends rather than listening and participating". Needlessly to say, that was the very beginning of Hans' chrysalis, his fae soul began to awake. His parents picked up on the tidings from school and decided to get him some help by sending him to the local psychiatrist. There, he was fed Banality with a spoon, the psychiatrist tried all he could in order to help the little boy to think rationally, and he "rocked" it. Hans was indeed thinking rationally, but he came with an unexpected conclusion, "Why would they try to stop me? I enjoy it... If being "normal" is being so boring, who would even want to be normal?". This kind of mindset kept him on the right track, spitting the pills when his parents were not looking and slowly forging his way to the Dream Dance. When the time has come, he was definitely overwhelmed as his whole world changed in a single moment. Memories from the past, seeing himself for the first time, and even some clues for the future appeared at once. The Glamour burst attracted the attention of the fae across all over the island, leading them to assist the newly awakened soul. He was taken to a small camp in the forest, located right next to a turbulent waterfall where a balefire kept the environment warm. There, He was given the very basics of the fae society, until the nobility found and assigned a Troll that would fit to foster him. Her name was Johanna, she was gorgeous, yet intimidating in size and physics. Her eyes were shining like sparkling diamonds, and her horns gave the sensation of unshakeable wrath. An Oath of Fosterage has been made in order to link between the two, it was the very first Oath of Hans, which had a massive impact on his world view and his future decisions. He was guided to follow the Nobel ways of the Trolls; loyalty, evaluation of your own word, and sticking to your duties. Oath is the strongest bond you could have, if that means nothing to you are nothing but an empty shell. While this is all nobel and nice, she also taught him to never be fooled by love and to beware when you're giving your word. Many wouldn't resist to take advantage of the unshakeable loyalty of a Troll after all, and when you do break your word, you lose your strength on top of your ruined reputation. Thus, investigate and learn the very truth of the ones you seal your Oaths with, on top of that, when you do swear an Oath, make sure it's going to well-benefit you. One year and a day later, after excessive mentoring and watching, Hans was finally ready to blend in the fae society. He swore an Oath of Fealty to Johanna as a mark of honor and admiration to thank her for her fosterage (and for further mentorship), on top of that he kept following her ways by swearing the Oath of Adoption to House Varich, serving and adhering to their code in pride. Time passed by and Hans realized that maintaining the balance between mortal family life and being a fae is no easy task. Especially not when his chimerical seeming started to slip into the autumn world - he slowly grew to inhuman size, and his green eyes got an Emerald pitch. He had to move out, but he didn't have enough money. He contacted Johanna, asking for her advice. Apparently she was planning to move out of the country, moving to a small town in the US, right next to the location of Varich himself (San Fransisco/Fierro). She offered him to join her, only if he think he could to handle himself without the support of his parents of course. One way or another, it was a better option to go with her rather than staying alone somewhere in Europe. He packed his stuff, and so beings the story of Hans...
