  18. With a faint *clink-clink-clink*, I tapped my fork on the side of my crystal goblet. The excited murmurs of the vampires around me died down as I waited, and I spread my arms wide, standing. "Gentlemen, ladies, and those of other natures... it has been my pants-shittingly terrifying pleasure to have reigned as your king for the past three days." A ripple of laughter passed through the crowd and I grinned, despite myself, lifting a hand to acknowledge it. Uncouth, but humor often was. "This lowly human found himself alone and with no one to turn to, and your... *endless* generosity saw me elevated to this most prestigious of positions! At first I was afraid, I was petrified, indeed, but I have lived more in the last three days than many men could have hoped to have lived in an entire lifetime. And I have you, my hosts, to thank for it all. Truly, this has been an experience I've not before enjoyed in my years, and... well, let's be frank, the odds of enjoying an experience like this once more are pretty slim, no?"
  19.
  20. The rest of the dining hall tittered, good-natured amusement having taken up residence within them for a moment, but they knew the hunger they felt on this holiday would soon be sated.
  21.
  22. "But let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late, and this is the end of my third day," I continued. "I have feasted, and I know that the next item on the agenda will be a proper feast for all of you, but before the screaming begins I would be absolutely remiss had I not complimented you all and expressed my gratitude to all of you nobles, patricians, and most especially to the illustrious lady Olivia Voldaren, without whom none of us would be here today."
  23.
  24. "Here, here!" spoke a few of the vampires surrounding me, while others chuckled or politely applauded, all eyes upon me.
  25.
  26. I took a deep bow in the direction of the lady in question, before straightening. "And so, one dinner concludes... ah, but before we move onto the next one, I very nearly forgot! Speaking of screaming..." I looked around the room, at the beady crimson eyes upon me. A few narrowed, but most waited for what was the inevitable escape attempt. Most victims tried at the last minute after all; surely I was not the only one to butter them up. But I continued on, "...this lowly human has but one final thing to say to all of you, my gracious hosts."
  27.
  28. I was, however, the only of their victims whose ornate garments would abruptly catch flame and flake away into ash almost immediately, as my eyes flashed to diamond, my skin becoming nothing more than burning sigils of sunlight. I opened my mouth and spoke in flames that washed over the dining hall, in the language of the stars themselves, "You must all burn." Their shades were etched into the walls, the entire room abruptly aflame.
  29.
  30. When I left the manse behind me, the very marble that made up its structure was burning, and would continue to do so.
  31.
  32. Things were peaceful after that, leaving aside the issues with the necromancers Geralf and Gisa, and their assorted armies of undead, but that was an issue that could easily by solved in a very simple method. R̴̢I̡P͜ ĄND̨͠ T̛E̸͡͠A̵͞R̀͞. No, it was the incursion from outside the plane that was the primary issue. Hearing voices is never a good thing, and watching the church of Avacyn depopulate is likewise not good; it was enough to make me stop, review what I was doing, and frown. At which point I recognized the signs, went "okay, yeah, fuck all that noise," and began the construction of a hedron network. I'd not expected to put that knowledge to work quite so quickly.
  33.
  34. When Emrakul appeared at last, I fought back. Drawing it completely into this plane to slay it. Of course, multi-dimensional creatures can't simply occupy one plane without pain, but I'm not one to let such trivial issues get in my way; while the accursed thing was flailing about and trying to strike at me, I took the only appropriate course of action that one can. Eldrazi have, after all, proven that they are weak versus Enuma Elish.
  35.
  36. Putting Innistrad back together again was a real pain in the ass, but at least tracking down Avacyn and motivating her to help made it much easier.
