  1. First, Chess came up with a theory based on the 'fight' we discussed above:
  2. 23:31 <Pleeb> Chess was making an interesting theory about the astral, while having a discussion with Forge.
  3. 23:32 <Pleeb> Like, Forge was telling her never to try that thing she tried again,
  4. 23:32 <Pleeb> The whole 'phasing into the mind' thing.
  5. 23:32 <Pleeb> He's like, "I wasn't defending myself, but others would." and Chess was all, [What if I have stronger willpower?] or something like that,
  6. 23:33 <Pleeb> And Forge is like, "It's not just about willpower, it's also several other factors. This world does have rules and a science, including things like energy," he was going on and stuff.
  7. 23:33 <Pleeb> And we were discussing things like how with a pheonix, so one summons up too much energy at once, it explodes.
  8. 23:33 <Pleeb> And Chess was saying:
  9. 23:34 <Pleeb> "[That energy doesn't blow up for Pleeb anymore though it just happened once. Now he can handle really large amounts quickly without it exploding.]"
  10. 23:34 <Pleeb> "[My theory is that it doesn't blow up for Pleeb because he doesn't let it blow up.]"
  11. 23:34 <Pleeb> "[So he can bring up almost infinite energy in just a moment and it won't blow up because he believes he can do it and does.]"
  12. 23:35 <Pleeb> "[Because I believe he could for the very reason that he believes he could.]"
  13. 23:35 <Pleeb> "[I think he could have killed that fake-neo in the wonderland but he was believing that it was too strong for him and that he needed you to kill it.]"
  14. 23:35 <Pleeb> "[I think Pleeb could have vaporized that fake-neo if he wanted to and believed that he could no matter how powerful it seemed to be. I don't think he was in any danger.]"
  15. 23:36 <Pleeb> Then forge said, "if everything was balanced through sheer will then morgan wouldnt have a problem killing me right now in this spar"
  16. 23:37 <Pleeb> And then Chess was all, "We can prove this right now then, and I can spar you right now" (or something like that).
  17. 23:37 <Pleeb> At which point I stepped in and made a note that Chess isn't sparring anyone.
  18. 23:38 <Pleeb> But yeah, according to Chess's logic, I can walk up to a tier 11 godform in the astral and pretty much vaporize it for the very fact that I believe I can, and I have the willpower to, or whatever.
  19. 23:39 <Pleeb> Which would mean you can pretty much go godmode by the sheer simplicity of you wanting to go godmode.
  20. 23:39 <Goldsmith> yeah, Belief +Thought & Willpower = power and ability in wonderland/astral/whatever it is. That is my current theory as well.
  21. 23:39 <Pleeb> Chess was more than willing to test it by fighting.
  22.
  23. Then, when discussing the above with Purlox, he noted this:
  24. 09:04 <Purlox> You know what is even more interesting, I noticed similar thing in reality
  25. 09:04 <Purlox> I'm not kidding
  26. 09:04 <Pleeb> Oh?
  27. 09:13 <Purlox> E.g. We were around a table and a person was shuffling a deck of cards and we were supposed to bet (with fake currency) what card he will be on top. Before the card on top was revealed random person would "cut" the deck to make it more random. There was a guy who guessed what card he will pick out of like ~52 different cards before the shuffling even began or during it and he was almost always correct. The times when he wasn't, I was wilfully believing some other card will be on the top of deck, but it never got me the card I was wishing to be on top. So it seemed like because people (including him) believed that the next card will be X, it was that way.
  28. 09:14 <Purlox> This is called law of attraction http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Law_of_Attraction
  29. 09:18 <Purlox> And it actually fits quite nicely to the theory that about our reality and all realities
  30. 09:18 <Pleeb> And it would line up with what Chess says about what she is capable of doing in the astral -- breaking the 'science' and 'rules' that are there,
  31. 09:20 <Purlox> You think you know how physics wrong, nope... This also explains how some scientists are wrong even though they have evidence to support their theory
  32. 09:20 <Purlox> Because there is no actual right and wrong
