Operation Vybor Deathmatch

Part1

Bandit Two spawned and quickly loaded up our MK19 Humvee, with stingers and two Javelins until it was full. Then we loaded into our vehicle and awaited the green light to move out to our destination. Our first objective was to hold up at 027-040 and act as an anti air unit till the Cavalry gets air superiority. We unfortunately were never utilized due to the sky was clear over in our grid location. We stood at this post for at least 20 minutes before being told to rally up at 0318-0770 to the forwarding outpost and meet up with Bandit 1 and the Saber units and still provide Anti-Air Support.

We yet again got no tone on any hostile units, only our friendly fast mover which was in a holding pattern over this objective. When we were told to move out towards Vybor pursuing the ridge line and the MSR. Our Godfather team was taken out shortly before we were to move out, the vehicle sustained no damage but the units were showing critical wounds. We were not medics nor could do nothing for them, we took any extra gear we could from them which was a Javelin Rocket and Tube, as well as a M16 with CCO sight.

We went Back to our Humvee and headed towards Vybor, I felt we were going to close to the grounds of Vybor so I deviated the route to around the objective. And took contact from our eastern side, I turned abruptly and told Loch to fire into Vybor's Eastern part of the City. He was able to kill at least one unit from his barrage and headed towards 035-060 as per request of our Command. We then moved west on foot, taking HE as well as Apache rounds on our position due to they thought all our infantry units had died. I quickly got on the Coms with Godfather to tell the Apache to stand down. The Apache waved off and headed South West and held there.

Godfather gave us orders then to proceed quickly into the town and follow the MSR, I told them that “we were no where close to a MSR and we will be trailing through the field”. Apache got eyes on us again and provided over watch as we moved in and took fire coming from within the towns limits and was failed from main rotary failure. Loch and I hid on the west side of town keeping out of sight from any enemy units. I checked the map status of Vybor, it had turned red meaning we have successfully taken over. We held our position for the final two minutes and the server told us “7th Cavalry Wins” due to we held Vybor in our favor when the time ran out.

Part 2

Position: God Father / Saber Command

Due to Skynet disconnected from the server the Air was mostly ours. I then gave the go green lights to our Air Lead to let our A-10 to strafe the enemy airbase to take out any hostiles that he could possibly get a handle on. Our fixed wing pilot was able to take out all fast movers, one tank, and some enemy personnel. Our attack rotary accompanied our fixed wing back to base and waited to for the him to re-arm. Unfortunately the fixed wing was trying to re-arm at the wrong area and was not resupplying any ordinance. Our Apache tried to cover our A-10 but it was unsuccessful when it was taken out, our fixed wing was open prey.

I got on communications with my bandit teams and told them a enemy cobra was at the base, they repositioned and scanned the air. Bandit 1 took contact from the Cobra as well their vehicles became disabled due to a strafing run from the enemy chopper. They were successful in taking out the enemy air however while being strafed. Unfortunately the pilot and crew survived the crash and landed near Bandit Ones position. Bandit one was missing a man due to early disconnection and was down one stinger tube and launcher because the body disappeared to fast. He did lay in MK 19 on the crash site but it somehow did not hit the enemy air crew. His men were shot in the back because they were sure they killed the crew of the aircraft.

While this was all happening I had Specialist Holly who was my Saber Element roll with me to the Airfield East of our base, down to Kabino and finally our destination at hilltop “Verenisk” (044-073) fully circling around the enemy without being spotted. Lieutenant Lewis and I started pumping Javelins in anything we could get a read on. I shot once at a possible armored target that I thought appeared active, and I may of disabled it. I radioed to Bandit One that the enemy was confirmed to not have any more heavy armor and they would proceed west of Vybor to the town of Lopinato. Due to having no vehicles they would have to proceed by walking their way to the next Objective. Due to all our Air Control was destroyed I told Warrant Officer Iher to accompany our remaining infantry and help with our main assault. After giving both those commands I spotted a Repair Ural leaving Vybor, I didn’t hesitate to lock on and destroy it due to none of our men were assigned such vehicles nor were they in that vicinity. If they were able to of used that vehicle there could of been a chance they would of used it to fix the avengers and use those also against us.

When I felt the area was clear enough I rolled myself and Lewis into town with the Stryker, to see if we could start changing the color. It showed red then quickly went to blue, I dismounted and started doing patrols while Lewis stayed in the Stryker. I found a green Mark 19 Humvee in the middle of town, I was quickly shot when I felt greedy to try and take this for myself. I was fortunately only wounded and could still have eyes on the area around me, the enemy who shot me was prone behind the Humvee. I called to Lewis to come over here and start lighting up the wall across from me at the main T intersection (in middle of town). Lewis killed the man without harming me nor the Humvee. Before he died I herd him radioing his comrades to back return to Vybor due to he was being overran. Lewis was unable to revive me and our medics were no longer on the field. I spotted another infantry across the road near a picket fence and called it out to Lewis, he quickly killed the infantry as I laid there scanning for any hostiles that were in my line of sight.

I called to my infantry to proceed into the west side of Vybor due to our Stryker was in the area patrolling. As they started to move in they spotted out Two Mark 19's up on a hill. I asked if they were able to obtain the vehicles and they told me they would have to cross a wide open field if they were to do so. Figuring it was a trap I got them quickly to move towards Vybor. Our infantry took contact from the west while I had the Saber team scanning the eastern side trying to level at least some of the buildings so we had less urban environment to worry about. Our armor later was taken out by a rocket of some sort, Holly was able to survive the impact and linked up with Lewis being his driver. So they could patrol the area with much more ease. I was then told that my bandit teams were in need of a pick up due to they were still a ways out of Vybor so I sent the Stryker to go and pick them up. They quickly headed back to Vybor making a strong hold on the town.

They let the infantry off into a half blown building keeping them hidden and safe while they searched for any remaining forces. They found a LAV inside the town and started to peruse, lobbing Mark 19 ammo in its direction. Having to reload they backed up behind a building, Bandit One spotted one of the enemies dismounting the LAV and preparing a SMAW. They quickly took out the enemy while the Stryker finished off the LAV. They quickly spotted another enemy running inside the town just out of a house carrying another SMAW and killed the last surviving member of F2F.

Casualties: 11 (2-3 disconnected)

Hostiles defeated: 18 (1 positive disconnect)

Saber Ones Report

Second round went fairly well considering the M1A2 only had one crew member. Following SGT.Grey's instructions I was able to get in position and provide over watch over Vybor from Kabino. I then moved to hill 368 (039-056) just north of Vybor where I took out one infantry and then got hit by what seemed to be a SMAW rocket. I then linked up with 2Lt.Lewis and drove the Stryker. We managed to take out an LAV and at least one more infantry. Unfortunately I also ran into PFC.Richards when reversing to pick up Bandit 1.

Saber Ones Notes: The only actual improvement I could suggest is a general one; In my opinion a Sabre unit needs at the very least 3 crewmen to be a viable asset, even over having 2 under crewed sabers.
