  10. Its Mega ability?
  11. Thrice:
  12. Inner Focus.
  13. Thrice:
  14. The Ability that Kirlia's Trace turns into upon evolution?
  15.
  16. Gerald:
  17. that's not a very good Mega ability that won't matter anyway.
  18. Thrice:
  19. Steadfast.
  20. Thrice:
  21. Do you know what Steadfast does.
  22.
  23. Gerald:
  24. ...I see.
  25.
  26. Gerald:
  27. Yes.
  28. Thrice:
  29. Megas will be in this campaign
  30.
  31. Gerald:
  32. Let me guess, though - Inner Focus negates the Speed boost?
  33. Thrice:
  34. Inner Focus makes it so you CAN'T FLINCH.
  35. Thrice:
  36. Steadfast activates WHEN YOU FLINCH
  37.
  38. Gerald:
  39. Yeah, that's what I was asking
  40.
  41. Gerald:
  42. perfect
  43. Thrice:
  44. unless you just plan to only ever mega evolve your eventual Lopunny
  45. Thrice:
  46. You will be mega evolving something most likely
  47. Thrice:
  48. Basic Ability 1: Bodyguard Basic Ability 2: Justified Adv Ability 1: Vanguard Adv Ability 2: Parry High Ability: Instinct
  49. Thrice:

  56. Gerald:
  57. Gonna do some Ctrl+Fing.
  58.
  59. Gerald:
  60. Ability: Justified At-Will - Free Action Trigger: The user is hit by a damaging Dark Type Move Effect: The user may raise its Attack 1 Combat Stage. The user always gains a +4 bonus to Skill Checks made to Intercept.
  61.
  62. Gerald:
  63. That +4 bonus is naisu
  64.
  65. Gerald:
  66. particularly when combined with Bodyguard - not that I wouldn't just take Parry.
  67.
  68. Gerald:
  69. I think.
  70.
  71. Gerald:
  72. Yeah Parry's the "fuck you you miss" one.
  73.
  74. Vili:
  75. I think I've got enough time to make a full meal
  76.
  77. Vili:
  78. just type a shitton if you need me
  79. MeisterWarlock has connected.
  80. Thrice:
  81. >Searches Alloces' source image
  82.
  83. Gerald:
  84. Macros are on the bird, on the Lighthouse
  85. Thrice:
  86. >Best guess for this image: Pathfinder devil
  87. Thrice:
  88. wow
  89.
  90. Gerald:
  91. You'll want to delete the ones you currently have
  92. Thrice:
  93. Injury and Recover Fully are the only ones that matter for me right
  94. Thrice:
  95. I already have the new Damage/HH macros
  96.
  97. Gerald:
  98. Yeah
  99. MeisterWarlock:
  100. on lighthouse top?
  101.
  102. Gerald:
  103. yep
  104.
  105. Gerald:
  106. The Temp HP macro isn't technically needed.
  107.
  108. Gerald:
  109. I just made it so I wouldn't have to open my token
  110.
  111. Gerald:
  112. because I hate opening my token
  113. MeisterWarlock:
  114. took 10 hours to load lighthouse top
  115. MeisterWarlock:
  116. for no reason
  117. MeisterWarlock:
  118. changelog?
  119. MeisterWarlock:
  120. got them
  121.
  122. Gerald:
  123. Changelog: Combat stage drops due to injuries are now stored
  124.
  125. Gerald:
  126. And when using the Recover Fully macro, you maintain CS drops from injuries
  127.
  128. Gerald:
  129. As for the Damage/Damage Hidden/Hurt/Heal macros, they now deplete Temporary HP before going on to regular HP
  130.
  131. Eustace:
  132. Healed up! Recovered 6 HP.
  133.
  134. Leopold:
  135. Healed up! Recovered 0 HP.
  136.
  137. Sweeper:
  138. Healed up! Recovered 0 HP.
  139.
  140. Gerald:
  141. Anyhow - I believe we'd just had our asses beaten to the point at which we no longer had asses
  142.
  143. Vili:
  144. oi it's Warlord
  145.
  146. Vili:
  147. I'm back with mac and cheese noodles, another side of feticcini alfredo, and some bread
  148.
  149. Gerald:
  150. I have a liter of strawberry water
  151.
  152. Vili:
  153. that reminds me to get a drink
  154.
  155. Vili:
  156. dr pepper
  157.
  158. Vili:
  159. We ready to roll?
  160. MeisterWarlock:
  161. yeah
  162.
  163. Gerald:
  164. 18
  165.
  166. Gerald:
  167. Looks like it.
  168. MeisterWarlock:
  169. who brings gerald's body in this time?
  170.
  171. Gerald:
  172. Dublhainn I think
  173.
  174. Dubhlainn:
  175. He's the only one here strong enough.
  176.
  177. Vili:
  178. Regani could probably kick roll him down to the Center
  179.
  180. Dubhlainn:
  181. Regani is KO'd too
  182.
  183. Gerald:
  184. please don't do that
  185.
  186. Dubhlainn:
  187. I just had to full heal her for reasons
  188.
  189. Dubhlainn:
  190. Dubhlainn has to carry them both. He is nto actually very strong. He goes to get someone from the first floor to help him : |
  191.
  192. Vili:
  193. "Let see here, return!" Vili holds a pair of balls and warps her two fairly unlucky mons into the sphere and accompanies Bologna with transport (kinda).
  194.
  195. Gerald:
  196. "Haa, this simply won't do at all!" Gerald leans on his support, whoever that may be, and limps back to the Pokemon center. "Perhaps it would be best to abandon this silly challenge for the moment."
  197. Thrice:
  198. Dubhlainn recruits Jet to help carry you all to the Center. The third redhead to enter the scene doesn't seem stoked about the idea, but agrees anyway on the account that Gerald's has a foot-shaped indentation in his chest, ironing his shirt to his torso
  199. Thrice:
  200. -s
  201.
  202. Vili:
  203. Vili being the first to enter the hospital of hope, sees Eustace. "We're back gramps. Yakuza strikes twice."
  204.
  205. Eustace:
  206. "I probably should've objected to you going more but I was making far too much money...."
  207.
  208. Eustace:
  209. "I'd also think Gerald wouldn't be stupid enough to get beaten up twice."
  210.
  211. Eustace:
  212. "How is he?"
  213.
  214. Vili:
  215. "Same as before, but with a bit more oof. You'll see." She wrings out her neck, "They almost went after me too."
  216.
  217. Eustace:
  218. "I see. The Strangelove family always finds new ways to go above and beyond...I suppose Gerald is setting the bar for failure."
  219.
  220. Gerald:
  221. "Ah, Uncle - you still think that highly of me?" Gerald smirks. "Thanks for the lift, Dubhlainn - and good luck with your own gym challenge!"
  222.
  223. Vili:
  224. "Oh geez Gerald, that mark on your chest got even bigger." She heads over to resume lifting support for the chef.
  225. Thrice:
  226. SSorry, got pulled away
  227.
  228. Dubhlainn:
  229. "No problem, it's my duty to help. I guess we have no choice but to enlist that girl's help again..."
  230.
  231. Eustace:
  232. "Are these the members of the nugget cartel?"
  233.
  234. Vili:
  235. "You know, I wonder if you came with us... They woulda done you in like Gerald."
  236.
  237. Regani:
  238. "Do we have to...? I guess she is pretty useful...in some ways. And hey! That deal was totally legit! If they'd won, we'd have given them a nugget!"
  239.
  240. Eustace:
  241. "Are they not just criminals right in front of us? If I report them to Marley I can get 40 thousand more for each of them."
  242.
  243. Vili:
  244. Vili scoots away and goes to put her balls into the machine.
  245.
  246. Jet:
  247. "All right. I'm bailing. I, uh...haven't even told Ramiel you're supposed to meet here. I gotta go do that."
  248.
  249. Gerald:
  250. "Uncle, stop! Why must you call them criminals? They're trying to run a legitimate business just like any other! ...it just so happens to be a business in which, well, accidents happen, aha."
  251.
  252. Gerald:
  253. "Ah, I'd almost forgotten! I'll be looking forward to that meeting, Jet!"
  254.
  255. Eustace:
  256. "The legitimate business of cutting people to pieces with swords."
  257.
  258. Eustace:
  259. "I suppose being a hitman is technically a profession but that's not what you meant, obviously."
  260.
  261. Jet:
  262. "Uhh...yeah, yeah. Sure. See you around."
  263.
  264. Regani:
  265. "Hey, give me some credit! The foot is mightier than the sword!"
  266.
  267. Gerald:
  268. "Is it really any worse than the challenge Marley put us through? I had a flaming barrel explode in my face, I'll have you know!"
  269.
  270. Eustace:
  271. "I don't think you understand, Gerald. I got a $40K reward for reporting those casino riggers. Imagine how much you can get for actually being assaulted with a sword?"
  272.
  273. Vili:
  274. "Those were your winnings? Arceus old man! I hardly capped out 10k..."
  275.
  276. Eustace:
  277. "Indeed. Just go tell Marley everything that happened, Vili, and you can continue gambling as you please."
  278.
  279. Dubhlainn:
  280. "If you think complaining about losing a fight to Marley is going to win you brownie points with him, you may want to reconsider."
  281. Gerald: (( Who was Dubhlainn talking to there...? ))
  282.
  283. Dubhlainn:
  284. Eustace
  285. Gerald: (( oh, not specifically losing a fight TO Marley, but complaining about losing a fight. To Marley. ))
  286.
  287. Dubhlainn:
  288. "He doesn't like it when people bite off more than they can chew...he made that pretty clear to us."
  289. Gerald: (( English is bad. ))
  290.
  291. Eustace:
  292. "Are you telling me it wasn't an assault?"
  293. Vili: (( Obviously stealing his casino was well in arms reach ))
  294.
  295. Eustace:
  296. "That he was stupid enough to agree to use his fists in a sword fight?"
  297.
  298. Gerald:
  299. "Not my FISTS, Uncle! My weaponry!"
  300.
  301. Regani:
  302. "Excuse me! Someone back me up here! Do you see a sword on ME? I don't use those things!"
  303.
  304. Gerald:
  305. "It was a legitimate challenge, all of us were armed and agreed to the terms!"
  306.
  307. Gerald:
  308. "Well, Vili wasn't. Vili... what were you doing, anyhow?"
  309.
  310. Vili:
  311. "Hmm, hmm, hmm~ That sure sound inviting doesn't it..." She crosses her legs on the counter stools and thinks about it. "I don't think Marley would really care if it isn't something too involving with him."
  312.
  313. Regani:
  314. "Weren't you paying attention? She was running, the coward."
  315.
  316. Regani:
  317. "At least you TRIED to fight me!"
  318.
  319. Vili:
  320. "What, me? You know I don't fight at all."
  321.
  322. Vili:
  323. "Better yet, not ending up like you seemed wise."
  324.
  325. Vili:
  326. "...No offense."
  327.
  328. Dubhlainn:
  329. "Everyone's got their own ways of fighting. Swords, fists, feet, minds, Pokemon...stranger ways...in the end, the only way to know which is most potent is to pit them against each other."
  330.
  331. Gerald:
  332. *shrug* "Just curious. It's probably for the best you were out of reach anyhow... all you sword users seem to be a bit more bloodthirsty than may be healthy for your heart!"
  333.
  334. Gerald:
  335. Second part @ Dubhlainn of course
  336.
  337. Eustace:
  338. "Yes....Your 'weaponry'....Setting that bar high, Gerald. I don't know what you hoped to accomplish or prove. Apparently the gym challenge wasn't enough for one day."
  339. Vili: (( "Maybe if I didn't have this overlying restriction preventing myself from punching things, I might've helped!" ))
  340.
  341. Vili:
  342. "My luck handles most of my conflicts, unfortunately I think I was out of trumps for the day. Landon pulled his, and Peri was done before he could really pull a trick off."
  343.
  344. Gerald:
  345. "I take it this means you wouldn't be interested in tackling the lighthouse with us tomorrow, then?" @ Eustace
  346.
  347. Eustace:
  348. "What is your obsession with this place? Do I need to clear it for you to get you to move on?"
  349. Vili: (( Luxemburg, Iornian Lake edition ))
  350.
  351. Gerald:
  352. "Hahaha, oh no, it was just a joke! We have places to get to, no need to keep banging our head against this obstacle!"
  353.
  354. Regani:
  355. "Oh, Ho-Oh's ashes! I thought you were seriously going to take this old guy with you! I was like, what kinda sadist are you? Look at him! If I hit him ONCE, he'll crumble to dust!"
  356. Vili: (( Is Richard actually here, I'm assuming not ))
  357.
  358. Richard:
  359. he is not
  360.
  361. Chick:
  362. Chick is, Jackie is
  363.
  364. Eustace:
  365. "I probably would, yes. That's not to say I would allow you to hit me. Regardless, I'm sure I'd put up more of a challenge than that embarrassment over there."
  366. Vili: (( The amount of blaze on Gerald this entire campaign will never be enough ))
  367. Gerald: (( nah that one was aight ))
  368.
  369. Dubhlainn:
  370. "Well, we'll never know, since it doesn't look like you plan to fight us again any time soon. And we won't be here for much longer ourselves, if we manage to beat Marley."
  371.
  372. Gerald:
  373. "What happens to your great 'yakuza empire', then?"
  374.
  375. Dubhlainn:
  376. "The original thugs will probably take it back over, who knows?"
  377.
  378. Eustace:
  379. "I have no interest in challenging them for a miniscule amount of money after what I already won just to help heal Gerald's pride. That's a lost cause at this point."
  380.
  381. Regani:
  382. "Who cares? I mean, what are they gonna do with a lighthouse? I'm still kind of disappointed you won't even try! I think three of you might actually last a minute or two. .. anyway, I'm gonna go clean up. I'm not even sure whose blood this IS."
  383.
  384. Gerald:
  385. "Ah, that's mine! You can tell by the shame."
  386.
  387. Gerald:
  388. ^ non-canon
  389.
  390. Vili:
  391. 97 dubz
  392.
  393. Gerald:
  394. "Now, now, Uncle, at this point you're taking it far more personally than I am! Let's just get some rest. Some of us need it more than others!"
  395.
  396. Vili:
  397. "I won't complain about some rest. Gotta do that thinger soon before Marley crushes us."
  398.
  399. Eustace:
  400. "If you don't things personally enough, everybody will just run over you, nephew."
  401.
  402. Eustace:
  403. *take things
  404.
  405. Eustace:
  406. Eustace wonders if Gerald is actually bottling up some anger and is putting on a front. At this point he somewhat wants to see Gerald get mad at him after all of the insults.
  407.
  408. Richard:
  409. I was the one who said his idiocy might be a facade
  410.
  411. Richard:
  412. cpome on Gerald
  413.
  414. Richard:
  415. don't let me down
  416.
  417. Gerald:
  418. "That may be true - but in this case, I would be a fool to place blame on anyone but myself. Everyone else has already started doing so, why should I be left out?" Gerald looks for the nearest clock, hoping his appointment is soon.
  419. MeisterWarlock:
  420. I am ready to jumpcut
  421.
  422. Gerald:
  423. as'm I
  424.
  425. Vili:
  426. lezgo
  427. Vili: (( es quiet ))
  428.
  429. Ramiel:
  430. And so around half past (time), you get a solitary, sulking visitor, who introduces themselves as Ramiel. Their expression is that of an awkward teenager who has suddenly been taken to a party where the only person they know is the fat, greasy nerd in the corner laughing to themself. They sigh before continuing, "So..what did you want me here for, again?"
  431.
  432. Ramiel:
  433. You get four chances to guess my gender, you won't succeed on any of them
  434.
  435. Gerald:
  436. Trans-Wario
  437.
  438. Ramiel:
  439. well they ARE purple and yellow
  440. Vili: (( kinda looks like a kuroko basket guy ))
  441. Ramiel: (( I'm not even sure what that is ))
  442.
  443. Eustace:
  444. We need a reason to acknowledge these 2 NPCs
  445.
  446. Eustace:
  447. otherwise we would generically leave
  448.
  449. Gerald:
  450. "Ah! And there's our guest, Ramiel was it?"
  451.
  452. Eustace:
  453. who
  454. Vili: (( It's not, they are just a person who just needed to use the center ))
  455. Ramiel: (( Gerald/Vili asked Jackie, who is the nurse, where to find a buyer for their shit ))
  456.
  457. Gerald:
  458. "Jackie told me you might be able to take some of Marley's treasure off our hands."
  459. Ramiel: (( she told them to check out someone named Ramiel at the lightouse ))
  460. Ramiel: (( Jet set up an appointment ))
  461. Agi says to the GMs: 26 is that just Jet
  462. You whisper to Agi: what roll was that
  463. Agi says to the GMs: Intuition
  464. You have no one to which to reply.
  465. Player "null" is not connected.
  466. You whisper to Agi: it is. you still can't tell the gender.
  467. Eustace: (( and I guess female? ))
  468. Gerald: (( I rolled. I can't tell. ))
  469.
  470. Ramiel:
  471. "What'd you get from Marley? It's not like I buy everything he shits into his Gym. ...and would you stop looking at me like that?"
  472. Vili: (( I'll guess boy ))
  473.
  474. Gerald:
  475. "Hmm... well, perhaps you could tell us where your interests lie? There's a lot of old coins and jewelry in here..."
  476. Eustace: (( can we not tell from the voice in-character somehow ))
  477.
  478. Eustace:
  479. Perception: ( 11 ) Phatcattian Gender check lolol
  480.
  481. Eustace:
  482. 12
  483. Eustace: (( horrible roll ))
  484. Eustace: (( I presumably think it is the wrong gender ))
  485.
  486. Gerald:
  487. "Ah yes, speaking of, Uncle - we should see about the banking system on this island. I may not have much to show for the moment, but you and Vili - well. One can't prepare for everything!"
  488.
  489. Vili:
  490. Percept: ( 20 )
  491.
  492. Gerald:
  493. are you guys seriously staring at his/her junk right now
  494. Vili: (( Yes I want the d obvs ))
  495. Eustace: (( Merge ))
  496. Eustace: (( $1000 in-game currency bet ))
  497. Eustace: (( female I win male you win ))
  498. Vili: (( ok ))
  499. Vili: (( not like 1k is that much anyway ))
  500. Gerald: (( :( ))
  501. Vili: (( oh shit im sorry gerald ))
  502. Vili: (( (sad) ))
  503.
  504. Ramiel:
  505. "Coins and jewelry, I can do And you two...you're creeping me the fuck out right now. See, this is why I don't leave the house like this. No one can tell if I'm a pretty boy or a handsome girl. It gets really annoying."
  506.
  507. Ramiel:
  508. +.
  509.
  510. Vili:
  511. Vili and Eustace have been kind of mutter things back and forth regarding gender stuff, "I dunno old man, still thinking it's a guy."
  512. Gerald: (( does "Star piece" fall under the category of "jewelry" ))
  513.
  514. Ramiel:
  515. probably
  516.
  517. Eustace:
  518. "Is that kind of look somehow supposed to be hip and trendy among men now? Ridiculous."
  519.
  520. Eustace:
  521. "Oh good lord she noticed us."
  522.
  523. Eustace:
  524. "Pretend to be doing something else, quickly."
  525.
  526. Gerald:
  527. Open Window
  528.
  529. Gerald:
  530. 7 Last minute Occult check on the sapphires/rubies
  531.
  532. Gerald:
  533. mhm
  534.
  535. Eustace:
  536. Eustace pretends to look over his many, many items.
  537.
  538. Gerald:
  539. "So - have you been collecting for long?"
  540.
  541. Eustace:
  542. Guile: ( 20 ) Highly important check to avoid looking at vaginadicks
  543.
  544. Vili:
  545. "I wasn't trynig to hid-" Vili's head is put down forcefully and spins to check on her mons. "Oh whatever..."
  546. Vili: (( Oh shit I actually have expert percept, forgot that I upgraded this level ))
  547.
  548. Ramiel:
  549. Rami decides to ignore Wheels and Reels, and just talks to Meals, "Since I was a kid. About...twelve years now. Why?"
  550.
  551. Gerald:
  552. *shrug* "Just making conversation! I genuinely thought we'd need to find an eccentric billionaire to make any sort of headway. It's a fine hobby, a fine hobby. What sort of estimate are we looking at for the - ah, finer gems?"
  553.
  554. Ramiel:
  555. "1100 for the blue and red ones...150 for those little blueish shards(not the actual Blue Shards obv), the black rock is actually a Moon Stone. That blue one with the pattern on it...I think it's a fossil."
  556.
  557. Vili:
  558. "Say pops, did you go and empty out Jack earlier today? I was thinking on dropping by one last time before we left."
  559.
  560. Gerald:
  561. "...haha, really? Fascinating! Could I take a closer look?"
  562.
  563. Gerald:
  564. @ the fossil
  565.
  566. Ramiel:
  567. "...it's your stuff, dude."
  568.
  569. Gerald:
  570. you know what you're right
  571. Gerald: (( PokeEdu? ))
  572.
  573. Ramiel:
  574. y
  575.
  576. Ramiel:
  577. Ramiel points to the star piece-shaped thing, "Anyway, that's worth around 1200. It's a piece of a comet." Then the finger is directed to the Enigma Stone and big green crystal, "No idea what those are. I've seen that blue rock thing before, but not the green one. Couldn't tell you what either is."
  578.
  579. Gerald:
  580. Pokemon Education - FOSSILS: ( 24 ) This is absolutely a 5th gen fossil.
  581.
  582. Gerald:
  583. that was an extremely good roll.
  584.
  585. Ramiel:
  586. it's a Plume Fossil
  587.
  588. Ramiel:
  589. revives into Archen
  590.
  591. Gerald:
  592. That was a fucking 5th gen fossil.
  593.
  594. Gerald:
  595. I hate you so much.
  596. Vili: (( lol ))
  597.
  598. Ramiel:
  599. please like hell you can revive it
  600.
  601. Eustace:
  602. "If they let me stay a full 24 hours with that reward I'd own the casino. They forced me to stop after just $40K....What do you intend to do? I think they're sick of us at this point."
  603.
  604. Gerald:
  605. "You know what, now that I look at it closer - you're right! These feather imprints, the beak fragment - it must be the remains of an Archen!"
  606.
  607. Vili:
  608. "Aw, no wonder you only left with that much. I was actually was asking about Jack, the guy who runs the Pokemart next door."
  609. Gerald: (( I kind of thought it was a Cranidos fossil from my vague remembrance of it ))
  610. Ramiel: (( cranidos is known for its feathers ))
  611. Gerald: (( I was remembering a different thing from the pile ))
  612. Gerald: (( it was a very big pile. ))
  613.
  614. Ramiel:
  615. "Anyway, are you looking to sell them, or what?"
  616.
  617. Gerald:
  618. "Well, if anything catches your eye, by all means! I'm not sure what kind of budget you're on, but don't be shy. Ah, if you wouldn't mind - I'd prefer if we held onto the items you couldn't identify, at the very least."
  619. Vili: (( oops -was ))
  620.
  621. Eustace:
  622. "Oh, him. Never asked his name. I took the majority of his healing supplies, but there should still be enough leftover for you if you're not getting a huge haul like me."
  623.
  624. Vili:
  625. "Just lookin' to pick up some cool stuff that's all. I might pick some stuff up for Gerald since he's been taking most of the beatings lately. Not to mention he makes us food from his own pockets."
  626.
  627. Ramiel:
  628. "Fine by me. I save most of my money for this stuff, you know? I don't need anything fancy, so I spend all my money on this."
  629. Gerald: (( should I just pick and choose, then? I'd like to sell all the generic treasure he named a price for ))
  630.
  631. Ramiel:
  632. "Me personally, I'm interested in the sapphires, rubies, the comet piece, star pieces, the Type Gems, and that fossil."
  633.
  634. Eustace:
  635. "Right, I didn't pick up anything for people...With how much Gerald gets beaten up that would probably be a good idea."
  636.
  637. Ramiel:
  638. "And that ring...I don't know what kind of ring that is, but..it's certainly entrancing."
  639.
  640. Gerald:
  641. "Uncle may yet have a use for the Fire gem... as may Vili, for that matter. Apart from that, I have no objections. I don't see us encountering a fossil specialist anytime soon - and well, if we do, I know where to come, eh?"
  642.
  643. Vili:
  644. "I'll go visit him first thing in the morning, not sure if he has closing hours or something."
  645.
  646. Ramiel:
  647. "If I've not already revived it, you do. I'm gonna be looking for someone, too...."
  648. Gerald: (( I guess we'll sell the coins elsewhere ))
  649. Gerald: (( alright, let's see here ))
  650. Gerald: (( Huh. There's no baseline for the type gems. ))
  651.
  652. Ramiel:
  653. 10200 for the non-gems and not the ring
  654.
  655. Gerald:
  656. "Oh, is that so? Well - let me know if you ever do revive it, then. I'll be sure to whip up some Chatot-brand baby food!"
  657.
  658. Ramiel:
  659. The gems sellf for 300 each
  660. Gerald: (( so 11000 then - that's NOT counting the moon stone, correct? I'm not interested in hocking that yet ))
  661. Gerald: (( *11100 ))
  662. Gerald: (( did you died again ))
  663. Ramiel: (( that was counting the moon stone, you didn't say no to that ))
  664. Ramiel: (( it was 1500 ))
  665. Ramiel: (( are you sellign the ring ))
  666. Gerald: (( well he didn't list it in the "things I'm interested in" list ))
  667. Gerald: (( and I said "I ain't selling it if you don't know what it is" ))
  668. Gerald: (( not selling the ring ))
  669.
  670. Gerald:
  671. 9600
  672. Eustace: (( are we at next day yet ))
  673. Gerald: (( I think so ))
  674. Ramiel: (( So you sold all the Gems except the fire one? ))
  675. Gerald: (( yeh ))
  676. Ramiel: (( k ))
  677.

  687. Achiote:
  688. Healed up! Recovered 87 HP.
  689.
  690. Gerald:
  691. "That boy certainly had a lot saved up! I was able to sell quite a bit there."
  692.
  693. Eustace:
  694. "Did she? Well, I'm glad you at least did something productive."
  695.
  696. Peridot:
  697. Healed up! Recovered 70 HP.
  698.
  699. Landon:

  702. Vili:
  703. Healed up! Recovered 59 HP.
  704.
  705. Gerald:
  706. "Here's for you, aaand here's for you!" Gerald splits up the winnings, 2400 each. "And... huh. Did Richard really take off already?"
  707.
  708. Vili:
  709. "Well look at you Gerald, he sure filled you up with cash."
  710.
  711. Vili:
  712. Vili immediately holds her hand up to decline the money, "Keep it. I've got my share in my purse."
  713.
  714. Eustace:
  715. Eustace was already adding his share to his collection. "Don't let him forget." He says to Vili.
  716.
  717. Gerald:
  718. "Well... I suppose there's no helping it, I'll set his aside for later. In any case - tomorrow, we head towards Schniedenstrafen!"
  719.
  720. Vili:
  721. "You better buy your own supplies with that." Vili thinks for a moment, "Wait are we doing something today?"
  722.
  723. Vili:
  724. "Like in this town?"
  725. Thrice:
  726. Shit nigger I thought you were going to MErrysville
  727. Thrice:
  728. well whatever it's not like I prepared anything for either
  729. Gerald: (( isn't Schnieden on the way? ))
  730. Gerald: (( I have no idea how the road system works ))
  731. Eustace: (( is anything on the way? ))
  732.
  733. Chick:
  734. The only person still in the lobby besides Jackie, who's asleep on a cot behind the counter, is this chick, desperately trying to ignore you rich assholes
  735.
  736. Chick:
  737. On the way to Schneiden, you mean?
  738. Eustace: (( and yes I am looking at map ))
  739.
  740. Chick:
  741. Or Merrysville
  742. Eustace: (( to krii oculos town ))
  743. Thrice:
  744. Schneiden and Merrysville...kind of are?
  745. Thrice:
  746. Merrysville more so
  747.
  748. Gerald:
  749. "Are you sure, Vili? You certainly earned it."
  750.
  751. Vili:
  752. "Screw you and eat your money! I won't be blamed for not having medicine supplies when you get knocked out again!" Acquired my mons and pout the whole way through
  753. Eustace: (( how much/long is a boat to krii ))
  754. Thrice:
  755. Well I think it worked out to like 4 hours on a fast ferry to Redwood Port, so probably 5 to Krii
  756.
  757. Gerald:
  758. "Hahaha, fair enough! I'll put your share towards some refreshments."
  759. Thrice:
  760. As for cost like hell I have any idea
  761. Gerald: (( right, holy shit boats are an option. ))
  762. Gerald: (( I think Warlord just solved an arc with one post ))
  763. Thrice:
  764. seemingly it would only be like 2000 or s oper person
  765. Eustace: (( that fucking fast? ))
  766. Eustace: (( then sure let's go ))
  767. Thrice: (( It's a fast ferry, around 50 mph ))
  768. Thrice: (( the Region is about the size of a state ))
  769. Thrice: (( not a contintent ))
  770.
  771. Eustace:
  772. So at the dawn of the next day, Eustace brings up the proposal. "Thinking on it, it'd make the most sense to just go to Krii. After I've so heavily cashed in on Marley, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to risk not being able to complete our deal. Better to get it out of the way and have no errands to run anyway."
  773.
  774. Eustace:
  775. *Krii by boat lolol
  776.
  777. Vili:
  778. "Sounds fine by me." Vili shrugs, and trusts Eustace with his arcane knowledge of life.
  779.
  780. Gerald:
  781. "Agreed! Somehow, I'd forgotten going by boat was an option..."
  782.
  783. Vili:
  784. "One condition, Eustace gets to pick the boat this time."
  785. Thrice:
  786. You're now alone in the Center lobby, Chick having vanished. So, you're heading off to port, eh
  787.
  788. Gerald:
  789. "Argh, you're never going to let me live that down, are you?"
  790.
  791. Vili:
  792. "I can bring up the other thing I won't let go. Eh?"
  793.
  794. Gerald:
  795. and god dammit you keep on kapoofing NPCs before I can give them things
  796.
  797. Vili:
  798. Vili motions a salt shaker motion which can imply a number of things. Good or bad. Mostly bad.
  799.
  800. Gerald:
  801. >salt shaker motion
  802.
  803. Gerald:
  804. >same thing as jerking off motion
  805.
  806. Gerald:
  807. vili stop
  808.
  809. Vili:
  810. nah
  811.
  812. Eustace:
  813. Eustace leaves the center and inspects the docks for any regularly scheduled ships
  814.
  815. Vili:
  816. "Make sure to go get your stuff from Jack before we leave." She skips out of the Center and peeks around the docks too.
  817.
  818. Gerald:
  819. Yeah I'mma get some Pokeballs.
  820.
  821. Sailor:
  822. "WHAT'S THAT? SHIPS? This is LUXEMBURG! It's THE port town of Garkodia! Of course there are ships! The next one leaves in an hour! You miss it, you wait three hours for the next. After that, it follows that schedule."
  823.
  824. Vili:
  825. "Work never stops huh, how'd those energy bars do on your body?"
  826.
  827. Eustace:
  828. "I would expect nothing less. We're seeking a quick voyage to Krii. What kind of price are we looking at?"
  829.
  830. Worker:
  831. "Where the hell you'd come from? Anyway, that thing worked better than I thought it would. Made lifting these boxes a little easier on the ol' back."
  832.
  833. Vili:
  834. Vili turns to Gerald, and gestures him over to these fine gentlemen.
  835.
  836. Sailor:
  837. "To Krii? Hmm...I don't know the rates off the top of my head, but I'd say a couple thousand. It's not TERRIBLY expensive!"
  838.
  839. Gerald:
  840. "Ah - were these the initial buyers you found, then?" Gerald inspects the workers, hand on his chin. "Yes, yes, I see now! The blue-collar crew could certainly could do with the same treatment..."
  841.
  842. Sailor 4:
  843. "You keep starin' at me like that and I'mma shove you in this box and throw it overboard."
  844.
  845. Eustace:
  846. "I'm not sure they'll want to buy it when they're working, but you've got an hour. Nothing else to do unless we want to challenge their Machokes to Pokemon battles or something."
  847.
  848. Gerald:
  849. "I think the Machoke are a bit busy doing their own heavy lifting!"
  850.
  851. Sailor 4:
  852. i could squash you into a basketball
  853.
  854. Vili:
  855. "You guys remember those three people who we met on this dock before? I wonder what they did after losing to Marley."
  856.
  857. Vili:
  858. "I'm going to say that they weren't given a task for losing."
  859.
  860. Gerald:
  861. "Now then - would any of you be interested in a second helping? I've expanded my stock since then."
  862.
  863. Sailor 4:
  864. yes you can sell your shit here (D)
  865.
  866. Sailor 4:
  867. I thought you didn't LIKE RPing stores.
  868. Gerald: (( shit man don't get all defensive ))
  869. Gerald: (( I made some lemonades ))
  870. Gerald: (( here, drink up ))

  880. Gerald: (( I'll just even that at 225 ))
  881. Sailor 4: (( I'm not getting defensive, this is just taking too long (waiting) ))
  882. Sailor 4: (( Nobody's done anything in over an hour ))
  883. Gerald: (( fine shit let's just be at Krii then ))
  884. Gerald: (( or on the boat ))
  885. MeisterWarlock is disconnected.
  886. MeisterWarlock has connected.
  887. Sailor 4: (( Well I mean what else do you plan to do here man ))
  888. Gerald: (( Nothing ))
  889. Sailor 4: (( this is a situation where YOU'D be complaining if you were MW ))
  890. MeisterWarlock: (( if battling is banned on the boat just teleport us there ))
  891. MeisterWarlock: (( we don't want to disrupt workers ))
  892. Gerald: (( And I only made 5000 out of it instead of 40k ))
  893. Gerald: (( I dunno what you expect US to do when you say "the boat ain't coming in for another hour" ))
  894. Gerald: (( instead of "yeah the boat's here c'mon m8y" ))

  949. Gerald: (( "There appears to be a great deal of grass in these lands." ))
  950. Thrice:
  951. Krii Village is a quaint place situated on a river, with only a few roads, and maybe four dozen buildings in total. The houses are like something you'd see in an idealistic middle ages story, wood and stone, with cobblestone walkways. Despite the relatively small number of houses compared to luxemburg, there are a lot of people outside, fishing in the river, running around the vast spaces between houses, climbing trees, and playing with Pokemon.
  952.
  953. Gerald:
  954. "Aha... quite the far cry from Luxemburg, this place. Have we become lost in time, or simply transported to the Kalosian countryside?"
  955.
  956. Vili:
  957. "Gerald you have the thing Marley gave you right?"
  958.
  959. Eustace:
  960. "I feel somewhat safer in such a place, yes. I believe that the leader here is supposed to be a hermit or something, so it may be difficult to deliver him the Marowak. We should figure out if there's anybody else we can give it to in his stead."
  961.
  962. Eustace:
  963. Eustace asks the first adult he sees. "Is Oculos in town? Where would we find him?"
  964. Emergency is disconnected.
  965. Thrice:
  966. You walk past a pair of sisters playing with a Marill, and find Merge dead on the street
  967. Eustace: (( I'm not sure they fall under 'adult' but sure ))
  968. Emergency has connected.
  969. Thrice:
  970. After those two, you notice another person, barking orders at a Pokemon beside what claims to an Inn
  971. Eustace: (( sure, he will do ))
  972. Eustace: (( I ask him my question ))
  973. Eustace: (( wherever he is ))
  974.
  975. Training Man:
  976. "The other way! Not like that, damn it!" The guy cracks his whip at his flaming horse thing, "They always take so long to break in..."
  977.
  978. Training Man:
  979. He turns around after a second, "Wait, were you addressing me? What business do you have with me?"
  980.
  981. Eustace:
  982. "I was. I suppose I have no business with you personally, but....I was just wondering if I could ask you for directions. To Oculos, to be specific."
  983.
  984. Training Man:
  985. "You wish to challenge him? Good luck. I tried. He wouldn't let me in..."
  986.
  987. Training Man:
  988. "But if you think you're special, his house is straight down this path."
  989.
  990. Training Man:
  991. "At the very end."
  992.
  993. Training Man:

  1003.
  1004. Eustace:
1005. "Oh we'll see about challenging him later. We just got out last badge, we'll probably have to train after that. Maybe I'll challenge you later...For now, we just have business with him."
  1006.
  1007. Eustace:
1008. He goes on his way towards the described location
  1009.
  1010. Training Man:
1011. "Kheh...challenge me? If you think yourself capable enough. I'm no easier on my opponents than my Pokemon." He goes back to being the only person to train a Pokemon ever
1012. Eustace: (( the best way to train is punching people ))
  1013. Eustace: (( fact ))
  1014.
  1015. Gerald:
1016. Gerald takes in the town, keeping his arm out as a perch for Achiote.
  1017.
  1018. Researchist:
1019. Walking(well some of you) down the road, you bump into a trio, talking about something or other, "Awww, man...what are we supposed to tell Oculos?"
  1020.
  1021. Oldish Duderino:
1022. "Nothing, as usual. He'll find out on his own. He always does."
  1023.
  1024. Eustace:
1025. "Oculos, you say? What are you looking to tell this man about?"
  1026.
  1027. Traveler:
1028. "Wait, wait, wait, wait! This time we've g---eh?! Who are you?! And what do you mean, 'this man'?! It's Oculos! You can't disrespect him like that in front of me!"
  1029.
  1030. Gerald:
1031. I'm totally hocking a leftovers to Training Man
1032. Eustace: (( go ahead why not ))
1033. Eustace: (( can you eat a leftovers and something else ))
1034. Gerald: (( Not unless you have Gluttony. ))
  1035.
  1036. Eustace:
1037. "Well he is a man, is he not? I didn't think he looked like a woman...Anyway, I have business with him. It looks like you also have some form of business. Who exactly are you people?"
  1038.
  1039. Gerald:
1040. "That DOES look to be some rather intense training there - I don't mean to keep you too long, but - perhaps, could your Pokemon do with an endurance boost?"
  1041.
  1042. Researchist:
1043. "Aw, no...who are you, anyway? I don't recognize you. And...wheelchairs aren't exactly practical here. Where are you from?"
  1044.
  1045. Training Man:
  1046. "They could. That's why
  1047.
  1048. Training Man:
1049. I whip them. You'd be surprised how much more 'endurance' they gain."
  1050.
  1051. Gerald:
1052. "Ah, I see! Your training style is awfully direct, isn't it?"
  1053.
  1054. Eustace:
1055. "I am Eustace Strangelove, president of (company name). I have some business with your boss. It relates to....Some unnatural Pokemon.
  1056.
  1057. Gerald:
1058. "Would you perhaps be interested in a carrot, to go along with the whip?" Gerald breaks out his wares
  1059.
  1060. Oldish Duderino:
1061. "Never heard of you. What do you sell? Fruit, vegetables? Gems? Fish?"
  1062.
  1063. Vili:
1064. Vili just hangs out in the back watching everyone do their thing.
  1065.
  1066. Training Man:
1067. "A carrot. Why would I need a CARROT to toughen my Pokemon?"
  1068.
  1069. Training Man:
1070. "What do you expect me to do with a carrot? It hasn't done anything worth a reward yet, and I have plenty of rations for when that time comes."
  1071.
  1072. Gerald:
1073. "Well, I'm a chef by trade, you see! I fancy myself a bit of an entrepreneur... and I think you'll find, if you give them a chance, that just a taste of, say, Gerald Strangelove's Chef Salad will boost your pokemon's longevity to unbelievable heights!" Vili please help I have nothing
  1074.
  1075. Researchist:
1076. "If I'm right, you're a businessman, right? We don't have much use for those here. And as for our boss, he's where he always is."
  1077.
  1078. Vili:
1079. "Surely a man of your tastes would prefer great results and performance. Having your Pokemon beefed up from your tough training, delectable foods, and increased boosts would be favorable."
  1080.
  1081. Eustace:
1082. Eustace is unsure of the intelligence and exposure of the people living here, and debates giving a dumbed down fake answer. The man in the lab coat makes him decide not to. "Oh, nothing much, just, you know, the man with the biggest share of the PC market." He pauses. "You'll have 'use for me' once I make my deal with Oculos. You're sure you don't want to tell me what you were talking about?"
  1083.
  1084. Vili:
1085. "It gives another oomph to squeeze out that extra percent. Ya know?"
  1086.
  1087. Researchist:
1088. "Haahh...nothing, really. We made a mistake in our research. Look, let me give you some advice. Don't go trying to change how things work around here. You come here, you soak in the atmosphere, maybe challenge Oculos if he'll let you, and you leave. We like our way of life, and we don't appreciate business conglomerates trying to edge us out."
  1089.
  1090. Training Man:
1091. "Strangelove...? Surely not the same...I've never heard of a 'Gerald' Strangelove."
  1092. Vili: (( Ooh that's on you bud ))
  1093.
  1094. Training Man:
1095. "And I've heard of 'performance enhancing' drugs before. I train the natural way. It may not be as quick, but the Pokemon adapt to it more easily. Using those things results in stunted growth and a pokemon with more power than they, or you, know what to do with."
  1096.
  1097. Vili:
1098. "I wouldn't exactly call homemade food, 'drugs'." She shrugs, and looks at Gerald with a look of not persisting.
  1099.
  1100. Eustace:
1101. "Relax, I have no use for your little village with your primordial mud huts. You shouldn't be seeing much of me..." He goes to head on his way to where Oculos 'always is'.
  1102.
  1103. Gerald:
1104. "Drugs?! Well, I never!" Gerald packs up. "I'll have you know that my meals are cooked with 100% wholesome ingredients! And love. Did I mention love? You can't buy THAT off the streets!" Gerald shoots a glance at Eustace. "And - while my name may not be as well known, that's only a temporary setback! I wouldn't dare disparage the family name to Uncle Eustace!" He motions to the wheeled man who's on his way off. "Did you not recognize his face immediately? It's rather distinct!"
  1105.
  1106. Traveler:
1107. "Good riddance. Yeah, you go on like that!"
  1108.
  1109. Training Man:
1110. "...He IS in a wheelchair. Never mind that, whoever you are, or whoever you're related to, it's no concern of mine. Love does not make a powerful Pokemon, and neither does a name. You need more than that."
  1111. Vili: (( fite fite fite ))
  1112.
  1113. Eustace:
1114. Those men annoyed Eustace so greatly that they almost made him want to industrialize the place to piss them off. Regardless, he gets over it. He continues on his way to Oculos fairly quickly after taking a glance behind himself at Gerald. He hurries on a bit, trying to delibarately lose them.
  1115.
  1116. Gerald:
  1117. I have the ball.
1118. Eustace: (( well can I retroactively have taken it ))
1119. Eustace: (( or do you want me to come back and get it ))
  1120.
  1121. Gerald:
  1122. "Very well. Your loss."
  1123.
  1124. Man:
1125. as you go on like that, you wheel past another duo of people discussing something, "So...this is the place, right? Yer positive? No false info this time?"
  1126.
  1127. Gerald:
1128. Gerald feeds Achiote a steamed turnip and turns to leave.
  1129. Eustace: (( Agi? ))
  1130. Gerald: (( I'm coming your way anyhow ))
1131. Gerald: (( it won't matter much until you actually see the guy ))
  1132.
  1133. Vili:
1134. Vili nods her head and excuses herself to trail along the Strangeloves.
  1135.
  1136. Guy:
1137. "Yes, you moron. I'm not telling you again. This is our destination. Where else would a boat bound for Krii Village take us?"
1138. Gerald: (( I'm really not sure how to fluff the food in a way that makes sense in-universe WITHOUT making it sound like drugs. ))
  1139. Gerald: (( which is irritating ))
  1140.
  1141. Training Man:
1142. I called yo ass out
  1143.
  1144. Training Man:
  1145. Also
  1146.
  1147. Training Man:
1148. do you really want to fight me agia
  1149.
  1150. Training Man:
1151. you know who i am
  1152. Gerald: (( I wasn't... trying to fight you ))
  1153.
  1154. Vili:
  1155. It's Luceria dawg
  1156. Gerald: (( I was trying to sell you a salad. ))
  1157.
  1158. Training Man:
  1159. Merge was
  1160. Vili: (( Damn I was hoping you didn't remember ))
  1161. Gerald: (( I remembered just fine ))
  1162.
  1163. Eustace:
1164. "Just got off the boat? Are you trainers looking for the gym?"
  1165. Vili: (( I also recognize Rachel and that's about it ))
1166. Gerald: (( And Thrice will remember random filler NPC #18 from the campaign 4 years ago ))
1167. Gerald: (( and call you out for NOT remembering it ))
  1168.
  1169. Man:
1170. "Heh...speaking of the boat, that dame'll come in mighty handy, huh? Bet she'll smooth everything ou---HWUHFWEH?! Whozzere?!"
  1171.
  1172. Eustace:
1173. Eustace has had the reaction before. "I'm the man in the wheelchair. I'm using telepathy. I'm stuck with this. Anyway, the gym, or, at least his house, is apparently that building over there." He points to the building he's been lead to believe he's staying in.
  1174.
  1175. Eustace:
1176. "I haven't actually gone, do you two know?"
  1177.
  1178. Guy:
1179. "Yes, that's Oculos' house. And the library of Krii Village. What business do you have with him...?"
  1180.
  1181. Gerald:
1182. "Hey! Nice labcoat." Gerald nods to Researchist on the way down.
  1183.
  1184. Researchist:
1185. i could be your little brother
  1186.
  1187. Researchist:
1188. i kind of am in a way
  1189.
  1190. Researchist:
1191. I'm probably much more competent.
  1192.
  1193. Researchist:
1194. "A large influx of visitors today...What made us so popular?"
  1195.
  1196. Eustace:
1197. "I've just come to make a deal with him, that's all..." He continues going on his way there past the bombardment of NPCs. He notices Gerald. "Ah, there you are. You have the Marowak, yes?"
  1198.
  1199. Gerald:
  1200. "The ball, of course!"
  1201.
  1202. Man:
1203. "Hah! Well ain't that a kneeslapper! Make a 'deal' with him? Ya think he's Marley or somethin'? Trust me, we tried tha--GWEHCK!" He's shut up by his friend...? with a sharp smack to the head. "Argh..."
  1204.
  1205. Guy:
1206. "Sorry for this idiot holding you up. Go on, maybe Oculos will see you. You'd have to be very lucky, however."
  1207.
  1208. Vili:
1209. Vili raises her eyebrow, "Lucky."
  1210.
  1211. Eustace:
1212. "Well Marley is involved, to be fair. Surely he has some respect for his fellow gym leaders?"
  1213.
  1214. Gerald:
1215. Probably not.: ( 20 ) Gen Ed says no.
  1216.
  1217. Gerald:
1218. My skill rolls are off the CHARTS today
  1219.
  1220. Eustace:
1221. So yeah we roll into the library/house/gym
  1222.
  1223. Eustace:
1224. if not assaulted by NPC group #5
  1225. Thrice:
1226. An unprecedented event happens to the Pokemon world, changing space and time for all eternity, the consequences will never be the same
  1227. Thrice:
  1228. the door's locked
  1229. Thrice:
1230. you can't just walk in
  1231.
  1232. Eustace:
1233. Well is it a public building where I can see hours posted
  1234.
  1235. Gerald:
  1236. It's Viridian City
  1237.
  1238. Gerald:
  1239. oh no
  1240. Thrice:
1241. No, there's no hours posted anyway
  1242. Thrice:
  1243. where*
  1244. Thrice:
1245. Just a sign that clearly does NOT have a sword on it
  1246. Thrice:
1247. Instead it just says "OCULOS"
  1248. Vili: (( Totally teleport in ))
  1249.
  1250. Eustace:
1251. "They all said that he's in and it's supposedly a public library...Did we get here too late? Try knocking I suppose."
  1252. Gerald: (( you could ))
  1253. Eustace: (( I'm old and lazy ))
  1254. Gerald: (( I meant Merge teleporting in ))
  1255. Eustace: (( I have plans after a failed knock ))
  1256.
  1257. Gerald:
  1258. Gerald acquiesces.
  1259.
  1260. Vili:
1261. "There are more ways to access a place you know..." Vili just looks at the house and inspects it a bit.
  1262. Thrice:
  1263. So you knock, then
  1264.
  1265. Gerald:
  1266. yep yep
  1267.
  1268. Gerald:
1269. *knock knock* "If all else fails - well, we do have two weeks!"
  1270.
  1271. Vili:
  1272. >you activate traps
  1273. Thrice:
1274. A low but genuinely inquisitive voice answers the knock, "Who has come to the library?"
  1275.
  1276. Eustace:
1277. "I am Eustace Strangelove, and I am here on business from Marley. It probably concerns a pokemon of yours."
  1278. Thrice:
1279. "...hah? Marley has never been one to care for my Pokemon... But I don't believe you're lying, exactly. Details?"
  1280.
  1281. Gerald:
1282. *ahem* "Perhaps we should clarify first - this is Oculos, and not one of his trainers, correct?"
  1283. Thrice:
1284. "Now, now. What does the sign say?"
  1285.
  1286. Gerald:
  1287. I will punch you
  1288.
  1289. Gerald:
1290. "Eheh... well! You've got me there."
  1291.
  1292. Eustace:
1293. "Well there is apparently some sort of mutated Pokemon inside this ball that he said would only obey you. He was being awfully secretive about it. I was wondering if you could maybe shed some light on just what exactly these things are in exchange for us giving this back to you?"
  1294. Thrice:
1295. The voice responds without a hiccup, "Mutated? Not disobedient? Are you sure that's your story?"
  1296. Thrice:
1297. "Mutated, that's what Marley told you?"
  1298.
  1299. Eustace:
1300. "It would not obey -him-, but he said it would obey you. He didn't say what kind of state the Pokemon was in but it was obviously unnatural when we saw it."
  1301. Thrice:
1302. "When you saw it? He released the Pokemon from the ball in front of you? Or should I not count an assumption as a lie... Mm. You are free to come in, give me a moment to unlock the door."
  1303.
  1304. Eustace:
1305. "We weren't supposed to see it. It was a mistake on his part."
  1306.
  1307. Gerald:
1308. "Ah, yes. The Marowak was tearing up some of the other Pokemon near the end of his gym challenge - he certainly didn't seem pleased when he came down!"
1309. Eustace: (( fuck you actually said the magic word ))
1310. Eustace: (( that was just my fallback plan if he actually got suspicious ))
  1311. Gerald: (( which word now? ))
  1312. Eustace: (( marowak ))
1313. Eustace: (( It could actually be the Marowak but it probably isn't, didn't want to reference the species ))
  1314.
  1315. Gerald:
1316. "Of course, we can only assume that's what's inside the ball - he was fairly adamant about the security lock. Untampered with, may I add?"
1317. Gerald: (( Yeah I wasn't sure if he'd said it WAS or not ))
  1318. Gerald: (( I assumed not ))
  1319. Gerald: (( I ASSUMED Arawn, honestly. ))
  1320. Thrice:
1321. You hear a CLOCK CLACK and the door unlocks
1322. Tokens dropped onto map 'Krii Village' by player Agi (Player)
  1323.
  1324. Valerie:
  1325. Ah, Oculos's house.
  1326.
  1327. Valerie:
  1328. I remember Oculos's house.
  1329.
  1330. Valerie:
  1331. I almost died there
  1332.
  1333. Valerie:
  1334. it was great
  1335. Eustace: (( elipses ))
  1336.
  1337. Oculos:
1338. The inside is what you'd expect, given what you've heard of Oculos. It's a cluttered mess, the floor's littered with books, gems, loose papers, fossils, artifacts of various natures, and so forth. There aren't any desks; instead, judging by some of the open books on the floor, it loosk like Oculos just clears a space whenver he finds an interesting book and plops down. There are two Pokemon inside as well; a big green humanoid plant thing, shuffling around the gems, and a more cat-like thing that's rifling through papers
  1339.
  1340. Oculos:
1341. "Watch your step." Immediately after saying that, he transitions to an entirely different topic, "Why did Marley send you, in particular?"
  1342.
  1343. Eustace:
1344. He's surprised Oculos didn't take some time to clean up. "He knew that we saw it. We were just taking the gym challenge and it attacked us, went out of its usual boundaries." He goes with the Marowak story entirely now, not seeing much other choice. He prepares to potentially backpedal later. "He obviously doesn't want any more people to know about it than who have to."
  1345.
  1346. Oculos:
1347. "You jump to a lot of conclusions for a man without legs. An old timer like you ought to know better..."
  1348.
  1349. Eustace:
1350. "If you give me some more details as to what this is, I'm perfectly willing to keep my mouth shut. If you don't, I might not have much alternative beyond asking around."
  1351.
  1352. Oculos:
1353. "Ahaha! Are you threatening me? Whom do you think has the answers, then?"
  1354.
  1355. Oculos:
1356. "You there, black haired one. What do you think of this man's audacity?"
  1357.
  1358. Achiote:
  1359. "Chatoo?"
  1360.
  1361. Eustace:
1362. "Well I don't know why he'd want to give this to you if you didn't know anything about it. You must know. It's obvious you know."
  1363.
  1364. Oculos:
1365. "Of course I know. But if I don't tell you, who do you plan to ask?"
  1366.
  1367. Gerald:
1368. "I... er..." Gerald pulls at his neckline, caught between a rock and a hard place. "Uncle, haven't we already resolved this matter with Marley? I imagine we may learn more as we simply progress through the league - it seemed as though that may have simply been a higher-level challenge for competitors!"
  1369.
  1370. Eustace:
1371. "Well I already met some of your buddies on the way here...In any case, though. We still have the ball itself. If that's not leverage I don't know what is."
  1372.
  1373. Oculos:
1374. "Ah, now, now, don't test me. It's supposed to be the other way around! Marley sent you here to hand that over to me, did he not? What do you have to gain by disobeying him, other than the wrath of two? Your idea...it sounds plausible enough tonight, but wait until tomorrow. Wait for the common sense of the morning."
  1375.
  1376. Oculos:
  1377. where did Merge go
  1378.
  1379. Gerald:
  1380. probably daslp
  1381. Vili: (( I'm here ))
  1382.
  1383. Eustace:
1384. "All I want is for you to tell me about what happened to the Pokemon in this ball. Is that so difficult? I probably shouldn't have tried to come off so confrontational. Money can be potentially involved if that will help. . .I guess you wouldn't have much use for it, but, I don't know, I could dump some money into your favorite charity?"
  1385.
  1386. Oculos:
1387. "Bribery! My, my! You are lucky...where I Gordon, you'd have been expelled immediately. No, your money does not interest me. Why are you so interested in the Pokemon? From what I gathered among all the trite, it's a case of simple disobedience."
  1388.
  1389. Oculos:
  1390. were*
  1391.
  1392. Oculos:
1393. "Hah...nowadays, people know the price of everything and the value of nothing, isn't it said? Even I do not know what lies in that Poke Ball. Ah, Great Ball."
  1394.
  1395. Oculos:
1396. "That is not to say I do not want to know...the chance at knowledge eats away at me."
  1397.
  1398. Gerald:
1399. Gerald increasingly feels as though he should excuse himself. "That is, indeed, all we know for certain... the existence of a bit of Iornian flair IS an enticement for future challenges, but - I'm sure we can be satisfied with the small taste we got for now!"
  1400.
  1401. Eustace:
1402. "That's what he told me...But like I said. We saw it. It was a monster, unnatural."
  1403.
  1404. Eustace:
1405. "You can be satisfied all you want, Gerald....Some of us may not live that long."
  1406.
  1407. Oculos:
1408. "I know as well as you do that you have no proof of what is in this ball. He who feigns knowledge presents a lack of it, after all, yes?"
  1409.
  1410. Vili:
1411. Vili near apathetic toward the whole scenario stares off into book space.
  1412.
  1413. Eustace:
1414. "He was very secretive about what was in the ball and dodged all our questions about the Marowak. It's obviously connected."
  1415.
  1416. Eustace:
1417. He is now almost assured that there is no Marowak inside of the ball.
  1418.
  1419. Oculos:
1420. "You press your luck...do not lie to me. If you want my help, abandon all hope of deceit. No one forgets the truth...they just get better at lying. And I get better at knowing."
  1421.
  1422. Oculos:
1423. "If you want to see what is in the ball, ask genuinely. Forego your pretense of false authority...for here, you have none, no matter how much you may oppress your companions into silence."
  1424.
  1425. Eustace:
1426. "...Fine. Everything I said about the Marowak is true, but I don't actually know what's in this ball. It's possible it could be unrelated."
  1427.
  1428. Eustace:
1429. "I have a strong suspicion that what is in the ball is another Pokemon of that nature. If it somehow isn't one of those I'd still like to know if you know anything about these mutations."
  1430.
  1431. Oculos:
1432. "Good, the truth...as for you two, have you anything to say? I am no fan of one lording over others. My friends...they choose not to speak to you because they do not like you, not because I prevent them from doing so. Do you dislike me, then?"
  1433.
  1434. Gerald:
1435. Gerald gives Oculos a defeated look, "Honestly, I felt it would turn out better if Uncle did most of the talking! I'd certainly be interested in seeing the contents of the ball, but - not if it would ruin the experience!"
  1436.
  1437. Eustace:
1438. "This is about a lore more than just a stupid gym challenge, Gerald..."
  1439.
  1440. Gerald:
1441. "We've clearly stumbled upon something we weren't meant to here..."
  1442.
  1443. Vili:
1444. "I'm indifferent." Vili sighs and lets out that withheld exhausted breath since she walked in. "Sure it'd be cool to know what's inside, but it doesn't hurt me enough to not know either."
  1445.
  1446. Oculos:
1447. "Well, then, if the only one who cares enough to ask me a question is you, sir Eustace Strangelove, would you like to find out what is in this ball?"
  1448.
  1449. Eustace:
1450. "Yes, if nothing else at least let me see what this one is. So I can realize the extent of the ridiculous wild goose chase I've gone on."
  1451.
  1452. Oculos:
1453. "Good. Honesty is found sometimes in desperation. Give me but a moment...and the ball?"
  1454.
  1455. Gerald:
  1456. "Here."
1457. Eustace: (( sorry for your session hijack ))
1458. Gerald: (( it's fine, I was assing about trying to RP selling/buying shit earlier ))
1459. Gerald: (( I'm just reading old Bunker articles/comments to pass the time ))
1460. Gerald: (( I can't believe it took me two and a half paragraphs to identify a Complaint Generator post ))
  1461. Gerald: (( my money's on crackheads. ))
  1462.
  1463. Oculos:
1464. Oculos sits down on the floor near some gems, grabs a few, and snaps them into small holes on the lock case. before waving his hands over them, which causes them to glow white until they snap and explode, taking the case with theme, "Simple enough...I think he designed this just for that. Not surprising, given how long we've known each other. Now to rel---"
1465. Eustace: (( just typing up an essay on corrupt aerodactyl ))
1466. Eustace: (( and OFC we could've cracked it open with our bag of useless trinkets ))
  1467.
  1468. Gerald:
1469. "Ah! So that's what those holes were for."
1470. Eustace: (( OFC that was the code ))
  1471. Gerald: (( I dunno man ))
1472. Gerald: (( can you make glowy gems explode with your hands ))
  1473. Thrice:
1474. Nah, I don't think you can do hand-wavey glowy magic
  1475. Gerald: (( you don't even HAVE hands ))
1476. Eustace: (( I in fact have hands, I just did not want to knock in a wheelchair ))
