Here were the bullet points of what I thought would be cool:

- Cersei refuses to go North
- Jaime leaves because he thinks she is crazy
- Qyburn convinces Cersei to go north to take advantage of Danaerys when she is weakest, and they bring the dragon crossbows
- The night before the war against the dead, someone (unknown) shoots one of the dragons with the crossbow and gets away. Daenerys blames Cersei and has Drogon burn down her dwelling. (Audience is not sure if Cersei did it)
- Unbenownst to Daenerys, Missandei was inside as well and dies, but Jaime saves Cersei.
- Daenerys is horrified at her overreaction and Grey Worm is furious. She leaves because she thinks she is unworthy to rule, telling Jon to do it.
- War with the dead happens, mostly the same beginning.
- Jorah finds Daenerys and convinces her to return during an all-is-lost moment
- Night king finds Bran, but Bran wargs into an undead Hodor and kills the night king as Hodor, thus sort of redeeming himself for screwing Hodor over.
- After they win the war, Cersei orders the Mountain to kill Daenerys, but from the shadows, Qyburn knifes Cersei in the back. Turns out it is Arya, who killed Qyburn after he shot the dragon.
- Jon stays king, the north secedes.
- Ending of the series is another night king is "born"
