  1. Alexithymiaa: -Brad had been very intent on keeping his promise about family time this week until he needed to leave for LA to do Anna's video this weekend. Walkking over to the snack bar, he ordered them some nachos and a few sodas, lingering there to wait for their order before bringing the tray back to their table and setting it down. "Alright, does everyone have their bowling shoes on now?"-
  2. Covet: Kelsey had been helping Connor get his shoes on while Brad was off getting snacks. When he came back over she smiled, " Yep we're ready to go, Connor's got his bumpers and ball roller set up too." She told him, taking her drink to take a sip off of it.
  3. Alexithymiaa: "Then we're good to go. C'mon buddy, you get to go first." He said, plucking a nacho from the plate and starting for their lane. "Did you pick a ball yet?"-
  4. Covet: "Yeah it's this green one Dad." He said with a smile pointing to his on the round about. Kelsey of course had a red ball, Connor thought he was being cute by making it christmas themed. // Kelsey watched them making sure everyone's names were up on the score board and ready to go. "We're good to go on this end."
  5. Alexithymiaa: "Good. Very nice looking balls we have." He said, more for his own benefit, letting out a snicker. "Go ahead little man. Take your turn."-
  6. Covet: Kelsey just shook her head, thankful Connor couldn't pick up on his dirty comment. // "Okay, I want to get a strike and knock them all down." He said with a smile taking the ball over to the slide looking device that sent his ball rolling down the lane to knock a good majority of the pins down. "Close enough."
  7. Alexithymiaa: "Wow, look at you." He turned back to look at Kelsey, raising his brows. "Maybe we should be expecting him to be a pro bowler when he gets older."-
  8. Covet: "Maybe, if it's something he wants to do." Kelsey said with a smile. // Connor went over to where the ball return was and waited for his ball to come up. " Now to get the rest of them." He said rolling the ball again but only got one pin of the four that were standing.
  9. Alexithymiaa: "Well he's already got the skills." He said with a laugh, hooking his thumb into his front pocket as he watched Connor finish his turn. "Look how many you got down though. I bet you're going to beat me. Now it's Momma's turn."-
  10. Covet: Kelsey went to get up to roll her ball down the lane knocking over half her pins. "I wonder if they do family league bowling." // Connor grinned and went back to where the nachos were and got a chip dripping in cheese.
  11. Alexithymiaa: "I wouldnt be surprised. I'm sure when we're done we can go up to the desk and ask someone." He said, watching Kelsey knock down a decent amount of pins. "I think you're both better than me."-
  12. Covet: "We can do that when we turn our shoes back in." She said then laughed, "That was a lucky throw." She said waiting for her ball. When it came back she rolled her ball again and watched it fall into the gutter. "See." // "Momma, that's not where the ball goes." Connor said.
  13. Alexithymiaa: "It's okay, it equals out with how well you did on your first throw." He said with a laugh, stepping up to slide his fingers into the holes on his ball. Lining himself up, he stepped forward and brought his arm back, swinging it forward and letting the ball go to roll it down the lane. He only caught the last pin before it fell into the gutter.-
  14. Covet: "I can be okay with that." Kelsey said with a laugh. Watching Brad. // Connor saw Brad only hit one pin and frowned. " Dad you're supposed to knock over more than that."
  15. Alexithymiaa: "I know, buddy. It's hard. I'm not as good as you. I think Momma might need to help me throw it." He said, waiting on the ball to come back through the return. He picked it up, walking to her with it. "Wanna help me find my rythm?"-
  16. Covet: Kelsey gave him a look with a smirk. "I dunno if I'm qualified to give you the help you need, Hun." She said to him, then rubbed his ball, "There's some luck, maybe that will help?" // Connor was digging into the nachos thoroughly distracted in the puddles of cheese, getting all sorts of messy.
  17. Alexithymiaa: "I don't think luck works like that without Buddha, but I'll take it." He turned and walked back up to the lane, pulling his arm back and throwing the ball. It rolled down toward the pins, knocking all of the rest of them down. "I take it back. Luck apparently works like that."-
  18. Covet: "I don't think luck is limited to just Buddha." Kelsey said with a laugh. "See! You might beat us all yet." She looked over at Connor, "It's your turn kiddo" // Connor looked down at his hands, "Do we have any napkins?"
  19. Alexithymiaa: "We'll see what happens next frame." He said, turning to look at Connor and his sticky hands. "I'll grab some. Hang tight." He said, heading back over to the snack bar to grab a giant wad of napkins. Bringing them back over to the table, he set them down. "Do you need some help?"-
  20. Covet: "Yes, I have cheese everywhere." He said holding up his hands to Brad. // Kelsey watched and shook her head, "Oh kiddo, you've made quite the mess, haven't you."
  21. Alexithymiaa: "I think we might need more than napkins here." He said, picking up a couple and dipping it into the cup of water at the table before getting to work on Connor's messy hands. "Maybe we should get you a fork."-
  22. Covet: "Do you want me to go get you some more?" Kelsey asked. // Connor frowned, "But you're not supposed to eat nachos with a fork, Dad."
  23. Alexithymiaa: "You are if your hands are going to look like this between every frame." He said to him, working the cheese off his fingers. "I think we're okay. For now... okay kid, go take your turn."-
  24. Covet: "Okay, Thanks Dad." Connor said as he made his way back down to the lane to throw his ball down the slide thingy, hitting another handful of pins. // Kelsey smiled and clapped for him, just kind of enjoying the moment.
  25. Alexithymiaa: -Brad pitched the dirty napkins into the trash and turned to watch Connor take his turn, clapping for him after he knocked pins down. "See, I'm telling you he's going to beat us both."-
  26. Covet: "Probably. I'm really not that surprised, I mean he's kind of got the game rigged in his favor." She said with a laugh then went to take her turn, putting both of them into the gutter. // "Momma, you're supposed to miss the gutter. Do you need my bumpers?" Connor asked.
  27. Alexithymiaa: "That's true. I feel bad for us." He said as he watched Kelsey, shaking his head. "I'll probably do the same thing, don't worry." He walked up and took his ball, bringing it back and throwing it into the gutter on purpose.-
  28. Covet: "I don't because we're playing an honest game." Kelsey said then watched him, "You can't do it on purpose just to make me feel better." She laughed. // Connor looked shocked. " Maybe we should switch sides."
  29. Alexithymiaa: "What? I didn't! I'm not any better than you are." He said defensively before looking at Connor. "It's okay buddy, you're just a more skilled bowler than us."-
  30. Covet: "Mhhm" Kelsey said shaking her head. // Connor laughed, "Yeah, I haven't had any bad rolls." He told them with a proud look, then went to take his turn, knocking down some pins each time.
  31. Alexithymiaa: "Because of all that skill." He said, dropping down into one of the chairs and stretching his legs out. "What is tomorrow's family activity?"-
  32. Covet: "Hmm... I was thinking about possibly going to the mall for a family picture?" Kelsey suggested. "Provided we're not impeding your work schedual at all."
  33. Alexithymiaa: "Nope, this week is for you guys. This weekend is work, and probably on call most of next week when they start editing. That's why I wanted to make this week completely belond to you. It's family time and if you want a family picture tomorrow, we're going to take a family picture."-
  34. Covet: "Family picture with Santa. Though I would like to get something nicer done at some point for Mom and Dad for Christmas." Kelsey said as she took her turn knocking down three pins in total.
  35. Alexithymiaa: "I could set something up. We can do a nice backdrop and I'll set my camera up and use a timer. Connor and I can have matching sweaters." He said with a grin.-
  36. Covet: "What about a natural background?" Kelsey asked. "A backdrop is nice and all, but I'd like to have some of those fancy family photos of us outdoors. With matching sweaters."
  37. Alexithymiaa: "We can do that too. Just need to find someplace with a nice background that you like. Either way, I can set it up." He paused, considering. "Or... you can ask Felix if you still want to include them in that. I'm just saying though, I can do it."-
  38. Covet: Kelsey shook her head, "If you think we can do it, then we can just keep it simple with us. I'm okay with that too." Kelsey said. "I'd forgotten that I'd even mentioned asking Felix." She said with a shrug.
  39. Alexithymiaa: "I'd rather do it. I don't have to worry about anyone else's schedule or not getting exactly what we want because we don't want to offend someone about their work." He said quickly.-
  40. Covet: "I mean, I have total faith that Felix could give us exactly what we wanted. I mean, that's kind of his thing. But I agree about the schedule and all that." Kelsey said nodding her head.
  41. Alexithymiaa: "Good, then it's agreed. I'll do the pictures. You just need to figure out where you want to take them." He pushed up from his seat and walked to grab his ball, tossing it down the lane with little effort or focus, throwing it into the gutter.-
  42. Covet: "I can do that. Maybe we can go up by the lake somewhere?" Kelsey suggested. // Connor looked at his parents, "Are you guys even trying?" He asked.
  43. Alexithymiaa: "The lake would be nice." He agreed, waiting for his ball to come back and turning to Connor. "Yes we are trying. Don't get frustrated when people aren't as good at something as you are."-
  44. Covet: Kelsey laughed at Connor and Brad's exchange. // "I'm not, but you are grown ups, you should be better."
  45. Alexithymiaa: "Someone's age has nothing to do with their skills. Maybe someone who is older has never bowled before. You don't know what someone has done. You can't be rude if someone isn't as good at something as you think they should be, okay?" He said sternly, but also politely because he wasnt scolding him, just trying to teach.-
  46. Covet: "Oh.. okay Dad." Connor said looking down. "I don't do that to other people. It was just this time, with you and Momma. Because you and Momma have always been better at all the things than me."
  47. Alexithymiaa: "I'm glad because I would feel really bad if someone was upset because we expected them to be something they're not, right?" He asked, picking up his ball again to throw down the lane, knocking a couple of the pins down. "Everyone has the things they're good at."-
  48. Covet: "Mhhm" Connor said then yawned a little bit, climbing up onto the seat. // Kelsey looked at him, "Are you getting sleepy kiddo?"
  49. Alexithymiaa: -Brad walked over to the chairs, dropping down beside Connor and swinging his arm around his shoulders to pull the child into his side. "How about we return our shoes and we head home so we can get comfy in our pajamas?"-
  50. Covet: "Yeah, and maybe we can have some hot chocolate before bedtime?" Connor said looking at them both "Kelsey laughed and took her shoes off, putting her boots back on, "I suppose we can do that."
  51. Alexithymiaa: "That sounds like a good plan to me." He said with a smile, leaning down to unlace his ugly bowling shoes, pulling them off and slipping his feet back into his sneakers. He collected Connor's shoes, turning to grab Kelsey's so he could walk them back while Connor got his shoes on.-
  52. Covet: Kelsey grabbed the rest of their things, taking care of the food and putting their tray away before taking Connor to the door after he got his shoes on so that they could leave.
