  35. HOB & SINERGI CS:GO Challange 2016 is open for all Indonesian teams & Registrastion are free.

  37. Roster lock will come in place 24 hours before the tournament starts, and no further changes in team composition and lineup will be possible.

  39. Article 1. Tournament format
  40.  
  41. HOB & SINERGI CS:GO Challange 2016 uses a single-elimination format where teams are going to eliminate each other in best of one.

  43. Article 4. Match formats
  44.  
  45. This article describes the different match format which will be used at HOB & SINERGI CS:GO Challange 2016. These formats are NOT subject to change and WILL NOT be changed during the tournament.

  47. Single game: A single-game match is played in a single game and opposes two teams of five players. A game is played on one map in two times of 15 in-game rounds. For each half-time, teams play alternatively terrorist and counter-terrorist, and score one point by winning one in-game round. The winner of a match is the first team who reaches a total of 16 in-game rounds. The remaining rounds will not be played after a team has won the match. If the match ends up in a tie, meaning that both teams have won 15 in-game rounds, MR3 overtimes with 10.000 startmoney will be played until a winner is decided. For overtime teams do not switch sides at the end of a match.

  52. The competition will use the latest available version of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

  54. Article 6. Player settings

  56. The following settings are not allowed to be adjusted or used on the players PC:
  57. mat_hdr_enabled 0/1 (do not use)
  58. mat_hdr_level 0/1/2 (do not use)
  59. All other configuration changes are allowed as long as they do not give an unfair edge or advantage comparable to cheating. A player may be penalized for wrong settings in any config file, regardless if it is in use or even stored in the game folder in question.
  60. Players are allowed to adjust the following on the PC or monitor settings:
  61. Brightness;
  62. Digital Vibrance;
  63. Contrast;
  64. Gamma;
  65. 3D settings (aliasing, vertical sync, etc.);
  66. Game scaling;
  67. Sound;
  68. Mouse settings;
  69. Keyboard;
  70. Headset.

  72. Players are forbidden using any kind of overlay that displays the system performance while playing (e.g. Nvidia SLI Display, RivaTuner Overlays, etc.). Any modification or changing of the game using external graphics solutions or other 3rd party programs are strictly prohibited and may be punished under the cheating paragraph.

  74. Player Nicknames: During an official match all players are to use their real nick so casters and spectators can follow the game without being misled. Fake nick is strictly forbidden. Any obscene nicks/avatars, abusive or racist nicks is strictly prohibited and can lead to a ban.

  89. Article 8. Map list

  91. The following maps are used for the HOB & SINERGI CS:GO Challange 2016 (Valve versions). The map pool will always be the Active Duty map pool and therefore might be updated before each tournament:

  100. Match Procedure
  101. Article 9. Notification
  102.  
  103. The notification indicates the time and the place at which players are requested to be present in order to play their official matches. This notification schedule is described in the tournament schedule and is provided at the beginning of the tournament. Players are advised to be present and ready 5 minutes before the schedule to avoid any unpredictable delay.

  105. Article 10. Setup
  106.  
  107. Players will be playing on their own setups as this is an online tournament. Players are responsible for their setup being up to date and fully functional, and any delays due to the player setup (power/internet issues) will not be entertained except in very special scenarios.

  109. It is the player’s responsibility to take steps to prevent any DDOS attacks from taking place on themselves.

  111. Article 11. Warm-up
  112.  
  113. Players get 15 minutes to setup and warm-up. The matches will start at their designated time. The tournament official will provide up to date information on when to start, so players can get ready and warmed up before the match starts.

  115. Article 12. Before the match
  116.  
  117. Before the start of a match each team must introduce his team captain to the tournament officials. It can be one of the five players or the official coach. The team captain must remain the same person during the entire tournament. The team captain is the person in charge of his team toward the tournament officials.

  119. The SoStronk map veto tab on the app will open for Map Veto. You can pick or ban by clicking and holding the cursor on the map of your choice. You have 1 minute for a pick/ban, and if you do not make a pick/ban in time, the app will automatically pick/ban a map.

  121. Article 13. Joining the match
  122.  
  123. Matches will be hosted using SoStronk’s own NSA system, if there is any confusion tournament administrators should be contacted for assistance and will be available during creation and starting of all matches.

  125. Article 14. During the match
  126.  
  127. Match Media: Players are obliged to record their in-game demo unless the recording causes performance issues which can only be determined by a tournament official.
  128.  
  129. Communication: During an official match, players may not communicate with people not involved in the match even when the game is paused. People involved in the match are players, the coach and tournament officials.
  130.  
  131. Match Interrupted: If a match is involuntary interrupted (player crash, server crash, network outage, etc.) the tournament officials may decide to replay the match according to the following rules:
  132. If the problem occurs in the first round of either the first or second half-time, the half-time in question will be replayed;
  133. If the problem occurs in the first round of the overtimes, the section in question of overtime will be replayed;
  134. If the problem occurs in any other round, the players needs to wait until the problem is solved or until the tournament officials tells them to continue the game;
  135. If one of the players crashes or is disconnected, he must come back as quickly as possible;
  136. If a valid backup is available on the server, the round in which issues occurred will be restored.

  138. Pausing a match: Each team will be allowed 3 pauses of 5 minutes each to sort out any kind of issues. Only the captain may call a pause and unpause by typing .pause in chat. The pause time from 1 pause will not carry forward to a second pause. Please note this doesn’t mean each team has 15 minutes of pause time regardless of how many times you pause. This means each team is allowed to use up to 15 minutes within those 3 pauses only, without exceeding 5 minutes per pause.

  140. The server command will automatically keep the round paused in freezetime if either of the teams has less than five players connected, but the pause will be counted as a pause used for the team who had a member missing.

  142. The tournament admins will be in the server for any special circumstances where a manual pause is required.

  144. Article 15. After the match
  145.  
  146. Investigation Request: When a team estimates being a victim of rule violations during a match, players are compelled not to stop the game by any means and to properly finish it. Once the match is over the team captain may officially ask for an investigation to tournament officials. It is strongly advised to provide valuable information that may help the tournament director in his investigation. Unjustified and repetitive use of this right may be sanctioned.

  148. Rules and Violations
  149. Article 16. Forbidden software installation
  150.  
  151. Players may not install or use any external software or hardware that interacts in-game. Any form of modification that would alter the game or allow a player to execute automatically more than one in-game action, or any configuration file, is forbidden unless expressly authorized by a tournament official.

  153. Article 17. Forbidden in-game actions
  154.  
  155. The following actions are strictly prohibited during a game and will result in round loss (the amount is determined by the tournament director) which will be deducted at the end of the match, and a warning:
  156.  
  157. Using pause during a round is forbidden (except for technical problems at the end of a round or during freeze time).
  158. Any form of script is forbidden (buy and jump/throw script is allowed).
  159. Using bugs which change the game principle (i.e. spawn bugs) is illegal.
  160. Moving through walls, floors and roofs is strictly forbidden. This also includes skywalking.
  161. \“Silent bombs\” (i.e. the planting of a bomb which doesn’t make a sound) are illegal.
  162. Planting bombs so that they cannot be defused is illegal.
  163. Boosting with the help of teammates is allowed in general, but it is forbidden in places where the textures, walls, ceilings, floors become transparent or penetrable.
  164. Throwing flash grenades under walls is not allowed, throwing grenades over walls or roofs is allowed.
  165. Any custom (game) files.
  166. Article 18. VAC-bans
  167.  
  168. VAC-banned players in CS:GO are not allowed in the tournament. If a player gets VAC-banned during the tournament or is found to have a pre-existing VAC ban it will result in disqualification for the team.
  169.  
  170. Article 19. Sanction
  171.  
  172. A team may be cautioned and receive a warning if one of his players commits any of the following offenses:
  173.  
  174. Refuses to follow tournament officials’ instructions;
  175. Arrives late at his convocation schedule;
  176. Shows dissent by word or action;
  177. Uses insulting language and/or gestures;
  178. Is guilty of unsporting behavior.
  179. A team may receive a sanction if one of his players commits any of the following offenses:
  180.  
  181. Receives more than one warning;
  182. Is guilty of violent conduct;
  183. Uses any unlawful or unfair proceedings;
  184. Mislead or dupe any tournament official.
  185. A team may lose a match or multiple matches if they find themselves in one of the following situations:
  186.  
  187. If a team is not ready within 15 minutes after the official match should’ve begun, the team in question will forfeit the first match as follows:
  188. If the match is in a single-game format then the team will forfeit the game;
  189. If the match is in a best-of-three/best-of-five format then the team will forfeit the map in question.
  190. If a team is not ready within 30 minutes after the official match should’ve begun, the team in question will forfeit the entire game.
  191. A team may lose a match or multiple matches and be banned if they find themselves in one of the following scenarios:
  192.  
  193. A team member is playing in more than one team who are participating in the event. For example, if there are two teams who are participating and if one or more members from either team are playing in both the team, both the teams will be given bans and their matches will be overturned, and the particular player(s) will be banned/penalized.
  194. If a team is found to have been using a ringer during a match, the match will be overturned, and the player will be banned from SoStronk for account sharing/player impersonation. In all cases depending on the severity of the behaviour in question tournament administrators will make final rules and may make more severe punishments if necessary.
  195. Article 20. Sent off
  196.  
  197. After study of a sanction by the competition manager and the tournament director, a sanctioned team may be subject to additional sanctions such as multiple default loss, disqualification of the team, and banishment from the next competition.
  198.  
  199. A disqualified team will automatically lose all his next matches by default and loses all rights and prizes that would have been awarded. In a group stage, the previous matches’ results within the group are cancelled and are also lost by default. All points won or lost are backwardly re-distributed.

  201. Article 21. Prize Money

  203. All prize money will be paid by the tournament organizer as per mentioned in their announcement.
