1. After getting 'Real Platinum God' then getting '1001%' THEN FINALLY getting '1,000,000%' i can SAFELY and FINALLY review this game. Mind you, there will be another DLC coming out for this game, the final actual final (please god please be the actual final DLC fuck-sake Edmund.) DLC. I will come back to this game with that DLC and do it all over again.

 3. The Binding of Isaac isn't only just about your Mom trying to kill you, you've got y'know, ugly cave monsters, Satan, Angels, and even yourself! The content for this game with the expansions is enormous. And even if you do just get base Rebirth the game is still worth it. But this review will mainly cover the main DLC Afterbirth+. And boy is there a lot to talk about.

 5. Characters - There is a variety of characters they added into the game, i wont get in depth on how to unlock each and every individual one but i will say the different stats and gimmicks each character holds is enough in itself for replay value. What a lot of new players will not find out till much later until doing some investigating is that each character has their own completion sheet. Each time you complete a main boss (Besides mom's foot) you will get a mark on your completion sheet. Each time this is done you will unlock a new item. Pair this with multiple characters and multiple possible unlocks you've already got yourself a ton of unlocks to work towards. And the reward is... sometimes worth it (looking at you sticky nickel...).

 7. Challenges - This games challenges are really hard, but of course some of them can be easy. Here's the thing about Isaac, if you complain about difficulty, you're probably not giving it much of a chance. The reward and satisfactory that comes with completing these challenges are incredible. They're frustrating, they're rage inducing, but goddammit the feeling of completing them is more rewarding than the reward you receive. There are 35 challenges in total (that is if you include all DLC) and each one is, once again, unique and challenging in their own way. And that's not to say each and every challenge is, well, challenging, there are challenges that can be completed in one go and can be fun to play as well. Also, if you want to become use to the game early i'd definitely consider grinding the challenges out and get those out of the way, it will teach you a lot.

 9. Hard/Normal - ALWAYS PLAY ON HARD-MODE! No matter what you do, in the beginning of this game, play on hard-mode. If you end up playing this game for over 100 hours and fill your completion sheets with normal mode you will come to realize you are missing a ton of unlocks still. With hard-mode, you can get the normal unlock AND hard-mode unlock. A lot of new players will see the word hard and be like "well i'm not ready for that i just bought this game!" trust me, hard-mode really doesn't change anything besides giving you champion enemies. Champion enemies are really not that much difficult, they may do one whole heart of damage, may take more damage, explode, explode into tears, etc. But in terms of going back and redoing characters that were difficult albeit The Lost or Greed, you'll be saving yourself a huge hassle.

 11. THE GAME - Finally we can discuss how the game actually plays. You play as a baby named Isaac, or whichever character you chose. The game will throw you in at the starting area with very basic controls and now the floor is yours. Go around each room exploring finding keys, bombs, trinkets etc and see how they benefit you during your run. There are item rooms in this game that hold either space bar items or actives. Space bar items have many different effects and i wont go into much detail on each and every single one. But the reason they're called space bar items is because to be used on keyboard you press space bar and they have effects, the most simple and common one would be The Bible. When this item is used with space bar you gain flight for the room. Simple right? Well... some items have other special secret properties. For example, The Bible can kill Moms foot if used in her boss room! And also it can kill Moms heart! Oh and it can kill Sat- just kidding don't try it, seriously... That's a little bit of an example for space bar items, they hold a lot of properties other than just their man base property. As for actives, when you pick up stat-ups in this game there are many different things that can change depending on the item you picked up. Speed, Range, Tears, Shot-Speed, Luck, Devil/Angel Room chance. When you pick up an active it will change these stats depending on your item, and some items even combine better with other items. This is where we introduce synergies, if you were to pick up Brimstone (Blood laser barrage) and pick up Homing Spoon (Homing shot) your Brimstone beam color will change purple and also instantly snap onto whatever is seen in the room. This game has many other synergies which makes it fantastic with replay-ability to see what other types of synergies you can come across in your runs which makes it exciting. I wont get in depth on how many floors their actually are and the bosses either because i believe that's a surprise for people to find and figure out themselves.

 13. This game after 530 hours has still challenged me greatly, but boy was it a damn good time. I will never forget the thrill of taking on bosses as The Lost and coming on-top. Or filling my donation machine to 999. Or even participating in the Greed ARG! I've had a great time with this game and it really has been a fun ride ever since the beginning when i purchased it. I SERIOUSLY consider giving this game a try and i encourage people to do as much as they feel they can. The self reward that comes with overcoming a great challenge like this game has to offer is almost addictive. Yes this game does have its moments of bullshit but i feel like its great game-play easily shrouds over it. Enjoy my fellow newbies, i'll see you guys in the basement.
