- Backstory: Argo lived a happy, peaceful life under the sea near in a particularly dangerous stretch of water that had claimed an utterly absurd amount of ships with its deceptive pockets of deep water. It was a peaceful existence consisting of sitting around, eating whatever prey got near, and generally exploring the wrecks. There were many drowned bodies and anchors to go around, a few small piles of gold tucked away in forgotten alcoves or tossed violently around the ground by the ship when it sank. Argo didn’t take any. Yeah, they were neat, but you couldn’t exactly eat gold. The cooler thing about the ships were the anchors. There were tons and tons of anchors of varying shapes and sizes just strewn about. Adding a particularly neat anchor was a bigger priority, just below eating.
- Gradually divers began to take over the area, in search of sunken treasure and/or rare Pokémon. Generally they didn’t bother Argo. Who would both seaweed after all?
- Unfortunately, the amount of divers only grew. More people were going for hidden treasures. Giant boats of divers scoured the area en masse on the regular. A set of large boats began sailing over what had become a tourist destination on a schedule. Argo had just grabbed a particularly neat anchor when a ball hit him and he ended up in a glass case with a metal plaque attached to it. There were other glass cases with their own plaques, but none of them had seaweed, so they clearly weren’t other Dhelmise.
- Argo just kinda sat there for too much time to track. The glass was actually somehow reinforced and it was kind of hard to swing an anchor when you were seaweed without the room to windup or the water to float. Falling against the glass proved ineffective. Argo had no choice but to just sit there and listen to tour guides through the glass. Apparently the anchor he’d grabbed was connected to a famous ship or something? That was cool for about five minutes. There wasn’t much to do other the daydream, listen to the tour guides over and over, eat what he was given and just generally people watching.
- Time passed, the lights went off for a long time, there were no more tour groups. Meals stopped coming, it was terrible. Then the lights came back on and glass cases were being opened. And then there was nothing as Argo went back into his pokeball.
