“What the fuck are you saying?” Heinz demanded. “Who is this killer? Take him down!”

Myers opened his mouth to answer and choked.

Heinz stared at him indignantly. “Speak, you idiot!” he cried.

Blood dribbled, then poured out of Myers’s slack mouth.

Heinz watched horrified as a cruel metal spike burst out of the security guard’s stomach. Myers slowly fell to the floor, revealing Jason standing behind him. Jutting from Myers’s back was a golden pole with a restaurant menu attached to the other end. All around the foyer, terrified guests bolted toward the outside world.

Heinz tried to do just that, but collided with a party of his own guests. He shoved a young girl aside, sending her spinning against a wall.

The girl’s father growled and raised a fist to punch Heinz.

Jason tugged the pole out of Myers and hurled it like a javelin into the back of Heinz’s head.

The hotel manager spun around theatrically, eyes lividly bloodshot, the spike’s tip where his nose once was, making him resemble some surreal caricature. He slumped face down on the floor, the restaurant menu jutting out of his head. The shocked father grabbed his daughter’s hand, ushering the whole family out through the glass doors.
