- That's not entirely the point of FLAC and lossless formats though. It's for archiving purposes. When MP3's grow old and a new standard deprecates MP3, what do you do? Would just convert your MP3's to the new lossy format? No you fucking stupid faggot. You do it from a lossless source. When a new lossless standard deprecates FLAC, it's fine to convert to that new format from FLAC since there was no loss of bit-by-bit quality from the Original source.
- Downloading FLAC is a more patrician approach because you can convert to any lossless format you want when you NEED to, for some reason, with minimal loss of quality.
- If you've already downloaded FLAC and you don't feel like transcoding, feel free to use it for listening. It's your hoard not theirs. It's not about listening it because of MUH quality, it's because you were able to afford the space to keep the files. There's nothing stupid about it really.
- People who do that on Music trackers should just please die in a fire.
