  19.
  20. Strengths:
  21.
  22. Wookiee Strength: It's said it's never wise to anger a Wookiee, as one possess the strength to rip a humanoid's arms from their sockets, or do any other number of exceptionally violent things with it.
  23.
  24. Technician: Wookiees are infamous for their technical aptitude as a species. With dexterous hands equally suited to repairing hyperdrive engines as they are to carving wood, it's a safe bet that your average Wookiee is fairly adept in the technical handling of technology. When one is specifically identified as a technician, even more so. Bacarradaar is one such Wookiee, who served as a starship tech during his younger days as a spacer.
  25.
  26. Thick Fur: In general, Wookiees are more resilient to physical trauma than most species of the galaxy. While by no means blaster proof, a Wookiee is typically more likely to survive traumatic physical damage than other species. This is due to their rugged survivalist physiology, rather than literally due to having thick fur.
  27.
  28. Wookiee Rage: 'Calm before the storm' is a term which applies effectively to Wookiees, who are simultaneously known for being docile, peaceful creatures, and for being mighty warriors and prone to violent rage. This is rationalized in a simple way; a Wookiee will typically be amicable and peaceful, until provoked. When provoked, a Wookiee is a terrifying force, a raging whirlwind of log sized arms throwing punches capable of sending a human clear off his feet and backwards several meters. It's said that Wookiees are particularly sore losers and are prone to ripping the arms off a gloating victor when the game is lost.
  29.
  30. - EQUIPMENT INFORMATION
  31.
  32. Weapons:
  33.
  34. Wookiee Claws: Every Wookiee's digits are ended in sharp, versatile claws capable of shearing through flesh and wood alike, and as such make adequate close combat weapons. However, the use of these claws for combat is prohibited by the Wookiee honor code, which explicitly states that to use the claws for harming another is a grievous betrayal of Wookiee honor, and to break this rule exiles the individual from Wookiee society and labels them a 'madclaw'. As Wookiees, and Bacarradaar, take their honor very seriously, breaking this code is no small thing.
  35.
  36. Armor:
  37.
  38. Toolbelt: When not in ceremony or battle, Wookiees rarely wear anything that could be considered as typical 'clothes'. They don't have to, as their thick furry coat provides ample protection from the environment even in freezing conditions, and provides enough coverage of their body as to remain modest and decent. However, hanging tools off your fur isn't comfortable, and as such many Wookiees wear belts, straps, bandoleers, and other 'carrying' devices when having to carry objects on their person.
  39.
  40. General Equipment:
  41.
  42. Holo Communicator: A typical holo communicator, capable of making calls. This small hand held device works both as a hologram emitter and communications device, displaying a miniature hologram of the caller during a call.
  43.
  44. Toolkit: No traveling Wookiee would be caught dead without his toolkit. This kit contains basic hand held tools for technical purposes. Repair, disassembling, reassembling, so on. Of course a small hand held kit such as this can't carry every tool for every job, and as such is designed to fulfill basic functions.

  46. - BACKSTORY
  47.
  48. Origin:
  49.
  50. Born as part of a typical Wookiee family on Kashyyyk, specifically in the city of Kachirho, Bacarradaar spent his youngest years in the nursery in Kachirho, where he was raised into the typical Wookiee culture, taught the intricacies of Wookiee society, and most importantly the Wookiee system of honor. Bacarradaar would continue the average life of a young Wookiee, learning the skills and culture of his people, until the age of 13 where like most young wookiees Bacarradaar took on a coming of age ceremony. This specific ceremony, the Hrrtayyk ceremony, involves a young Wookiee's journey to the shadow lands of Kashyyyk, where he learns traditional survival skills, and partakes in ritual hunts and other traditional activities such as the gathering of silk of a carnivorous Syren plant, a typically dangerous activity. Upon completing his Hrrtayyk, a Wookiee is said to unlock his rrakktorr, a Wookiees inner strength, and Bacarradaar was no different, exiting his specific Hrrtayyk with not only a survivalists skillset, but with a better understanding of himself and the world around him.
  51.
  52. Bacarradaar continued to live a normal Wookiee lifestyle for many years into his adulthood, becoming a particularly skilled starship technician in the spaceports of Kashyyyk. During this time, Bacarradaar would often enlist aboard short range transport vessels for single run jobs in and around the Kashyyyk system. It was during one of these jobs that Bacarradaar had his first encounter with slavery, as his ship was boarded by Trandoshan pirates whom murdered the majority of the crew, stole every valuable, and enslaved Bacarradaar for further profits. These slavers ended up holding onto Bacarradaar for some time, due to a combination of his intense uncooperative nature to being a slave making him a hard sell to slave buyers, and due to this same firey resistance making him a favorite combatant in Trandoshan slave fighting rings. Bacarradaar would spend five years in these conditions, typically used as a gladiatorial fighting pit slave.
  53.
  54. Respite finally came when a human spacer by the name of Anais Railo also became enslaved by the same Trandoshans who last held Bacarradaar as a slave. It was Anais who cooperated with Bacarradaar to successfully escape after only a few months of captivity together. This resulted in Bacarradaar swearing a life debt to the spacer, whom he would travel with for the remainder of her life. During this time the two fulfilled a countless number of jobs and roles across the outer rim, involved in numerous sketchy situations and near-miss escapes. This came to an end at the hands of a small local sect of the Hutt Cartel, which successfully assassinated Anais, thus ending Bacarradaar's life debt to her. After exacting as much revenge as he was willing upon the local Hutt Cartel, Bacarradaar returned to Kashyyyk, where he resumed his previous life with some discomfort due to it's comparative stagnation, but none the less happily began a family, marrying his wife, Delbarra.
  55.
  56. Life did not stay peaceful for long however, as before the couple were capable of fully starting a family, the onset of the Empire brought doom to Kashyyyk. With nearly the entire race living on Kashyyyk enslaved or murdered, Bacarraadaar was one of the many unfortunate Wookiees to see both his home and family burn in the chaos that was the enslaving of the Wookiees. As well like many of his kind, Bacarraadaar became an Imperial slave, living as one for nine years, discounting brief periods of escape and recapture both by the Empire, Trandoshan Slavers, and others. This second period of slavery came to an end while working as one of the many spice mining Wookiee slaves on the planet of Kessel. It was during his time here that Bacarraadaar would finally find freedom from this extended stint of slavery, escaping Kessel with more of his kind during a mysterious slave riot instigated by unknown means. Now finally free, with his wife gone and his homeworld under Imperial rule, Bacarraadaar returned to his old trade of being a spacer, traveling the galaxy to make a living, biding time and helping in small ways until he finds an opportunity to return to Kashyyyk and help in the freeing of his people.
